They cheated my husband and I out of hundreds of dollars. We trusted this place and were duped. Don't let it happen to you! Sooo- this is what's going on at Smoke Away... First, I gave two stars instead of one because the staff is friendly. However if the staff is aware they are selling rancid knock offs then I retract that and feel extremely taken advantage of. We would tip these people too. Anyways, my husband and I would come here every weekend and spend about $100/week. Until....the smokers we liked started tasting off. Very odd. So we switched our brand to elf bars thinking maybe WHIFF changed formulas.... and were very happy with the elf bars we purchased. They were totally fine for about a month...Until...once again they started tasting rancid. We chatted about how it didn't make sense that every time we'd find smokers we liked and bought there, shortly after we'd buy them for a few months, they'd start tasting awful. So, we googled why smoker formulas change. We found out that it isn't the company that supplies the smoke shops changing anything, but instead it's the smoke shops selling fakes. It's happening at many smoke shops unfortunately. After learning this, we compared the fake elf bars we purchased to the real ones. The coloring was different, lettering slightly different, and the taste of the fakes were literally rancid. Strawberry cream tasted like spoiled milk. It's truly a shame because we liked the staff here. Also, the prices are higher here....and they're fake. Taking advantage and selling fake garbage is not OK. (I feel like I'm disciplining a toddler with a common sense lesson here). Do yourselves a favor and find a different shop. If they're selling knock off vapes, who knows what else is fake that they are trying to pass off as brand name. I snapped a couple pics of the Smoke Away knock off elf bars next to the real ones. I hadn't been into vaping since around 2004-ish. Back then I had this ridiculous iTaste 134 that…read morelooked like a Gatling gun. Totally unnecessary. Totally awesome. Fast forward: I decided I'm done with cigarettes and figured vaping would help pry the habit off me without turning me into a full-time grouch. I called Red Star Vapor before they were even supposed to be open, because apparently I'm that guy. Josh answered anyway, which already put him ahead of most businesses. I told him what I needed and basically said, "Just build me a setup and get me going." Five minutes later he had me dialed in. Armour G, coil set up, and Menthol Ice so I could keep the menthol vibe without the cigarette part. He sent me to the site with exactly what to order. I paid, and within about 30 minutes I had everything in my hands. Borderline suspiciously efficient. Here's the shocker: I liked vaping more than cigarettes almost immediately. Less than three days later, I was completely off the real thing. I don't smoke inside, but I didn't lose the routine. I still go outside, sit in my usual spot, and vape instead. Same habit, minus the stink and ash. I'm fully off cigarettes now and vaping exclusively. Menthol Ice has nicotine, but I'll step the mg down and be done soon. They spent a lot of time with me and made me feel like this is the only place I need to go to while in AZ. I told him new to the area and just wanted to see what is this place is all about. This guy just didn't understand what I wanted to do and after that and I left.
