Decent little airport. Does pretty much what you need it to do. They don't have a tower so sometimes winter flights can't land so you are taking your chances because you might get returned to Seattle. Apparently they are putting in a tower soon so that might improve things. There are some quaint little details like a house cat and a lending library/honesty book shelf near the door. Last time I was there they had Thomas Piketty's "Capital in the 21st Century" for 5 bucks. What a deal. To all those one-star reviews out there, you should probably take it easy when you come to the Palouse. read more

Flew into this airport once or twice due to travel troubles. Smaller airport with smaller planes but not bad. It is a short distance from entrance to the planes here. Recommend if cost is not an issue ans need to fly into town rather than Spokane. read more

We decided to fly into Pullman from Seattle due to seeing a specialist across the state line in Moscow, Idaho. This has to be one of the most unpleasant airports I have ever seen. Everything is so cheap and outdated. It was small with barely anything to eat or accommodations. I know it's a small area, but still it could be more aesthetically pleasing. People are just allowed to smoke by the door, which was a real turn off while trying to wait for our ride to pick us up. Also, the guy at the Budget rental car counter doesnt even go outside. He just vapes at his desk, not giving a crap. like wth!? Can you say COUNTRY BUMPKIN!? Most all airports have a designated smoking area away from the main doors. PUW needs to GET WITH IT! The perk is you can walk in like 10 mins before the flight and board. However, no food, and the vending machines are broken most of the time. The staff of the airport was non existent and had all of two TSA agents. The staff has been here all the years I have been flying here and they are rude and cold. ZERO customer service. I only fly here for one reason, CONVENIENCE! Otherwise, I would not. They often have a house cat running around which is inconsiderate considering some people have CAT ALLERGIES! Oh well, I guess. It really needs a major remodel. There was even a book sales counter that worked on the honesty system. What is This? 1995? You could see nothing but hills and plains outside. Also, winter flights are often cancelled and delayed due to no tower, but they are in the process of building a tower so hopefully that will all change and become more efficient, but don't hold your breath. lol. Also, the restrooms were dirty as well. It did the job for us and got us where we needed to go, but I think next time I may just take a cheaper flight into Spokane and do the drive down to Pullman. I recommend this airport if it's an absolute necessity for you. read more

There are limited options for air travel in this part of the Northwest so I use this airport as a last resort. It is so small and crowded with limited seating. Had to stand for an hour for a delayed arrival because there was no place to sit and no room to walk around read more

It's the only airport in the area and might be the smallest airport I've ever been to besides the Monterey airport in California. There are no food options here so be sure to pack some snacks if you are the type to get hungry. There are only a few flights a day so if you're like me and miss the evening flight due to an illness, you will have to wait until the next morning's flight to get on your way. They fly small propeller planes by Alaska air here, which seem a little sketch at first but I've never experienced any technical issues with them. I love that Alaska lets you check-in one of your carry-ons if there is space. It's very helpful for a small person like me that has difficulties when trying to put heavy carry-ons into the overhead bins! When you exit the place upon arriving to Pullman, you have to walk all the way around the airport and enter through the front entrance but, again, it's a small airport so it's not that big of a deal, just a little odd. Because it's so small, there isn't a carousel to pick up your luggage. It's literally just people throwing your luggage onto a pick-up area (quite amusing when I first saw it). There is free wifi here but it can be a little spotty at times. I don't get cellphone service but it's best to bring a book or something to keep you entertained if you are early for your flight. Home and Harvest magazine usually drops off a stack of their magazines here. I highly recommend picking one up if you see them. They are free, super cute, and really interesting! It's a lifestyle magazine in the quad-city area with a retro theme to it. One thing to note: even though it's a small airport, it's still possible to miss your flight! My boyfriend arrived 40 minutes before his flight once and he was not able to board because the line for security screening was so long. Be sure to arrive at least an hour in advance! read more

I'm soooo impatient. I'd rather wait outside in the bad weather to pick my bag up off the cart and then walk to the rental car checkout, rather than walk inside and wait an extra 5 minutes for someone to hand me my bag inside. It's seems sort of ridic to check a bag here but the next time it's super nasty outside, I need to reconsider. Oh, and this time I found the used book corner. They have a book case of used books that you can buy for a $1 donation to charity. How sweet is that?!!! Next time I'm here by myself, I'll make sure to partake. I added the 4th star for this glorious feature! Security seems to have improved their throughput now. We arrived about 40 minutes before our flight and were plenty good to go. In fact, we had to ring the buzzer to get someone to come to the area to get boarding passes. This airport is in dire need of a kiosk. read more

Love the bookshelf of lost and found books for sale. I was engrossed in it just before my flight was to leave, and I glanced over at security and they were all standing there looking at me. One of them said, "we're ready any time you are." It's a one room airport. My only complaint is that the puddle jumper which flies on to Seattle sometimes stops in Lewiston first, and it doesn't gain much altitude for those 20 to 40 miles. So have the barf bag handy just in case. read more

Officially the smallest airport I've ever flown in or out of. It's literally two rooms. One is the "main" area before security and the other area is the waiting area after security. I didn't have the most pleasant experience flying out of here because my flight was cancelled, but it wasn't the airlines fault. There's just nothing to do, and they only have a vending machine for drinks (not sure where some of the other photos are from, but only the last two are of the actual Pullman-Moscow Regional Airport). read more

PUW is currently undergoing renovations. For a regional airport in a rural town it has all the basics. The carpet can be a bit off putting however the staff across the facility are warm and inviting and helpful when things go awry as a traveler. read more

What other airport will you find a cat in the ladies restroom trying to drink from the sink while you attempt to wash your hands? Seriously, no joke. Obviously this airport is tiny but it's literally so tiny that a cat was freely wandering around and walked back and forth between security and the main check in area. As you can tell by the name, it is not a big airport. It is small, but I like it. I have lived in big and small city, airport way towards this airport in pullman is quite a quite drive. If you had pass by here at night, you will found out the best airport view you have ever seen. I remembered I really stopped by just to say "Wow, this is an amazing runway." Due to their small in size, and a little hill on the side, you will enjoy the great runway view at night or daytime. For Airplane fans, it is the best time for you to gear up your camera and roll the film, i mean roll the SD card... Alaska Airline is this airport only commercial airline, I think they have Hertz by the side if you want to rental car. If you have time while you were waiting at the airport check out the books at the bookshelves, you will figure out something strange... they have kept a very very old WSU yearbook there... I browse through the book... and... wonder... u know... How many people are already... "RIP".... I enjoyed my 1 hour flight to seattle, it was fun, and better than another public transportation - around $60 one way to seattle. Depends on popularity of your departure dates, Fares can go from $79 to $300. P.S Do not arrive airport too early, there is nothing for you to do. and It only takes you about 15 mins to check in and do all the security check. read more

What can I say but I fly here for convince to me but nothing else. Perks you can walk in 15 minutes before boarding and you will still have plenty of time to get through security. The airport itself ugggg. Once past the gate there are no bathrooms, vending machines not even a drinking fountain. Not to mention there is no internet in this airport. If it is foggy or snowing forget it you will not fly in or fly out because there is no tower. This airport is a busy little airport and I would like to think in the future they would make some changes. However 5 years of flying in and out of here nothing has changed. Most important let's not forget the staff that work there..... They are rude and cold to everyone, for 5 years same people no conversation at all. This is possibly the easiest airport in the world. You can park about 20 feet from the front door, walk inside the single-room terminal, throw your bag behind the single Horizon check-in desk, stroll through the single metal detector, out the back door, and onto the waiting plane. You have to appreciate the basic simplicity of the place. There is no departure screen, just a board with posted times, that never change. The only plane that lands is the one you are getting on. You go though security when the plane is about to take off. There is free wi-fi (for all 2 people who may be using it). If you are looking for other entertainment, well, there's a bookshelf where you can buy used books on the honor system. Dining options include a vending machine pre-security, and a vending machine post-security (they are about 10 feet apart - security is a glass wall). In case you forgot something behind security, just send the house cat back over - she walks through the checkpoint whenever she wants. No five stars because landing in the winter means walking across open tarmac in sub-zero weather. Also, there's only 3 flights a day, all to Seattle. You might be taking a 7 minute flight to stopover in Lewiston (the change in elevation means the flight is pretty much descending the entire time). But I would fly into PUW over Spokane any day. read more

Get used to it! I plan a trip to Lewiston, Id. after August 25 and will have to fly from SFO to Pullman, Wa because Alaska pulled out of service to Lewiston, Idaho. Horrors. Its about 30 miles to Lewiston. There is no public transportation, no super shuttle, no stage coach, no conestoga wagon, no mule train that will get us from Pullman to Lewiston. What dear readers are we going to do? We are both 80, still driving but really cannot see our way to rent a car and drive in an unfamiliar area. Somebody step up and run a van or shuttle service both ways. Help is the only word I can say on Yelp. Please Yelp us out of this desperate situation. read more

I will start by saying that I understand that this is a small regional airport but it is seriously lacking in the ability to manage their business. First of all, there is no method to contact anyone at the airport. You can call the airport but no one will pickup, even when they have a flight going out. There are a few phone options but neither one picked up. Finally we found a way to contact the airline who was ticketing and they could answer a question. What if there was an urgent issue at the airport, how would you contact them? Next, they have no method of public transportation to/from the airport of any kind. No lyft, no uber, no taxies, no bus...etc and yet they have a lot of students and families of students being so close to WSU. There should be an option. We realized that they have no working taxies when our student's car would not start and she almost missed her flight. She had to run 3 miles to the airport and leave her bags at WSU to make the flight at 4 am on the dark streets. Definitely plan ahead at this airport! They have nothing so make sure that you have thought through all contingencies. I know some will say it's not the airports problem to worry about public options / rides to and from the airport but they should want to work with the community to have an option. read more

The staff is incredibly rude, unprofessional, arrogant, and incompetent. While trying to rebook a flight after they purposely made my family miss theirs, they refused to help us literally because they didn't have to do anything (the two guys were Jason and Neil, just an fyi). And they made that point very clear. Obviously we were frustrated about the missed flight seeing as it was the last flight out that night, and all they did was worsen the situation instead of actually helping us. What happened to customer service? Someone needs to come in and clean up the establishment. Luckily there are two other airports and other airlines to chose from. It's nice having an airport in a college town like Pullman, it makes travel easier for those who opt to fly to Seattle go home over break instead of making the five hour drive. It's a small airport. Only four flights a day to and from Seattle-Tacoma. There's one security line, one full body scanner, one desk check-in, and one self-serve kiosk. Alaska Airlines is the only airline that provides service to and from Moscow-Pullman. This airport resembles more of a bus stop than an airport, however. There are three vending machines (1 food, 2 beverages) for snacks and a couple of those quarter candy crank machines as well. One male and female bathroom are in the airport, as well. The staff and TSA are super helpful and are some of the more friendly airport staff you'll ever meet, probably due to the minimal hours they work. The only thing the airport is lacking is good wifi. They're wifi is REALLY slow which makes it almost impossible to stream Netflix or Hulu while waiting for your flight. read more

This holiiday season we arrived 30 min before a flight, they were still boarding. We were told that the baggage check in was closed to go through the bags and take anything liquid out and they would check them through the passanger gait. The counter agent at the last min said the bags could go on the next flight but put my Daughter through the boarding gait and let her board. When she finally came back to the counter she said that bags can not fly without passengers and it was too late to get her off the plane. I asked her why we were not given the option to just take the next flight and informed of this instead of mis-directed. She had no answer. I was told to go to another airport that takes cargo transport to send the luggage. I made an appointment with the Moscow-Pullman Airport Manager. Told her the story and asked her why we were mis-directed when they could have simply offered us to take the next fiight. She said it was not thier fault, a TSA personell had done it there was nothing they could do about it. I called Alaska airline they directed me back to the Airport manager, she countinued to state it was not their fault. I called Alaska Airlines back they said they were very sorry and wanted to remedy this situation and paid to overnight my daughters bags to her. Moral to the story: Do not arrive late, do not get seperated from your bags, the Moscow Pullman Airport Manager will not offer in any way to help your plight. Thank God for Alaska Airlines! Tiniest airport I have ever landed in. Don't understand why people are surprised to see hills and plains and why they bash this airport. If you didn't know you were flying into a small airport in a small city, then it appears you are the one with the problem. I was happy to be able to fly here from Southern California. Is it as nice as large airports in large cities? No. Would I want to get stuck here overnight in a snowstorm? No. But I don't like to get stuck at ANY airports for any length of time. As for the library, where you are on the honor system to pay for your book, tell me where else in this country can you do that? Nowhere that I know of. It is a very sweet and homey touch in our dishonest and chaotic world. Warmed my heart. Didn't see the cat but would have been uplifted by that also, and I am severely allergic. I appreciate that there IS an airport here because my daughter will be attending college at WSU. We realize there is the possibility of not getting her home during poor weather or getting back to school on time, but we deal with that every year that we head back east in the winter also. I talked to two very nice and helpful customer service people at the airport. No problems with flights. No problems with vending machines. The restrooms were restrooms. Toilets flushed and sinks worked. Some people just need to get over themselves. read more

We did not have a good experience this time. Road construction delayed traffic, we turned around to go the back way to the airport. Got to the airport 30 minutes before scheduled flight. Nobody at the desk to help and the boarding kiosk stated to late to get a boarding pass. went to the counter,sign said 40 minute rule... S.O.L again nobody around to help. People were boarding.Another passenger was waiting to check her bag and had a boarding pass,again nobody around to help.Last time I had great service,they even printed my boarding pass and helped me get through the checkin process..by now the lady was in tears and nobody cared. There were several TSA agents but nobody came to help.Rang the bell many times,others showed up to get on the plane,but they would not let one else on. The plane took off with many of us watching from within. Shocked. Every other airport I have been to have made sure all ticked passengers were accounted for.
