Took both of my sons (age 4 & 7) to a 4-year old birthday party and they had a lot of fun. I had heard of Pump it Up but hadn't been with my kids. It's pretty well organized with a party host helping you move the group of kiddos from one room ("arena") to another so they get the chance to play on inflatables in two different areas before heading to the party room for snacks, cakes, and presents. It was a nice touch that the party hosts takes photos that get shown on the tv in the party room - the kiddos were happy to see themselves on the tv. The rolling coat rack is a great idea for keeping everything together as we move from one room to another. While they have several inflatables, they seemed to be pretty similar and could use an upgrade to bring more variety if they can. The carpet also seemed pretty old and there is a fairly strong smell of dirty shoes and socks. Overall, I think this is a good place for a birthday party for kiddos. read more

Perfect for my 2 and 5 yr old grandsons. We went during open time on a school holiday day. Not overly busy and the jump structures kept them both active and happy. We were able to bring our water bottles and snacks for break time. The staff were super nice and helpful. A great way to blow off energy! read more

I've been to a lot of kids birthday parties but this place had the most organized, well run party I've been a part of! My kids ages 5 to 10 had a great time! The first section of the party is in one big room, then they move the whole party to another huge room with new jumpies and fun things to do so kids can't get bored. Throughout the kids play time a staff person is taking pictures. I wasn't sure why until we got to the party room: The final section was in the party room. I loved that there is a tv screen in the background with the pictures of all the kids during the party that the staff member had taken!! What a fun idea! The kids enjoyed seeing themselves play! I was pleasantly surprised by this place, with regards to private party planning at nearly every step of the process. We had so much fun from age 5 to 45. The older kids and adults had just as much fun as the little kids. I highly recommend the black light option, it was a huge hit! Our party hostess Grace was amazing. I even had called with two changes and they were very accommodating. We had a special needs boy attending our party and Grace was very good with him too. We ended up eating dinner prior to our party as our start time was later, so I can't comment on the food. read more

I came here for my son's 4th birthday. Not as a party, just to celebrate. There are 2 rooms with inflatables. The first one has 3 HUGE inflatables and then a virtual reality projector floor thing where the kids can jump on frogs and they disappear...(idk what to call it but it was cool!) I went on a Tuesday and it wasn't packed at all. Enough kids to set the fun atmosphere, but not enough where you're ready to strangle someone else's kid. After spending an hour and a half in the first room. The staff then led us to another room with a foos ball table, a Wipe Out inspired inflatable that you have to jump from giant ball to giant ball to make it to the other side without falling. It was pretty entertaining for the other adults and me to watch our little legged kids attempt this feat, but still fun. We were then surprised with a glow stick dance party. Our host claimed to be a back up dancer for Prince, so he entertained us with his moves. There's no food court or anything. But it tired the kids out and they had a blast. Had a horrible experience at EP pump it up location. The manager was so RUDE to a kid when he was just outside another party room. He said it's not OK to be looked through the open door, even when there's nobody inside. This all happened in front of other guests and he doesn't really know how to be polite. I question his managerial training or at least he should hear himself while talking to guests. His tone was unfriendly even when he said he's sorry. I really hope he should learn from this and doesn't repeat with other kids and the guests. It is really shocking to see that at a kids party place, a staff can be RUDE and IMPOLITE towards a kid and the family. read more

Do you need to host an easy party for 5-6 years olds in the warehouse district of Eden Prairie? Go to Pump it Up! What I love about Pump It Up is how straightforward it is. And good for you for inviting the entire class. That's nice. But no, this will not knock your socks off, but who cares? The young kids are entertained. Any younger than 4 and they'll be on the small side for using some of the bouncy things. And older than 7 and they'll get bored fast. But for the kinder crowd, it is definitely A-OK. read more

I wanted to love this place. I really, really did. I wanted to walk in, find a place I can bring my son to burn off energy, and fall in love with it. I didn't. It's not a bad spot. It's just not a great one. It could've been so much better. We went here this last Saturday for a 6 yr old's birthday party. Over the last year I have been to Skyzone, nature centers, bowling alleys, and peoples houses for birthday parties. Given that, I feel as if I'm a bit of an expert when it comes to little boy birthday parties. First off, they bring the boys into a very large and very poorly lit warehouse area with 3 "bouncy things". One is a giant slide, another is a classic bouce house with basketball hoops, and the third is a semi-obstalce course with another slide. That's it. After about 20 minutes they bring you into another room (wha?). This one was just as poorly lit and had 3 more "bouncy things". A slide, a classic bouncy house, and an obstacle course with another slide. Sound familiar? They boys didnt even go on the slide in the 2nd room. The final part of the party is the cake and presents portion. They have an employee run this, as they do in all these things. Not impressed. Employees that would rather text than work. Yay!!!! Overall, if you live right close to here it would probably be a good spot to go. I brought my 4 year old grandson to an open jump session on his birthday. He had an absolute blast! The owner announced his birthday over the loudspeaker, and my grandson was really excited about it. He loved the obstacle course and big slides, and especially enjoyed jumping across the 'blobs.' The owner had lots of helpful ideas about free/inexpensive things to do with kids throughout the Twin Cities . . . I kept encouraging him to either blog it or start a website. He's got GREAT connections! This is a wonderful facility for children, where they can run, jump and play. My grandson didn't stop smiling the entire time he was there. Very reasonably priced. We had my daughter's 9th birthday party here today! My daughter has Down Syndrome and a lot of her friends attending the party had disabilities as well. I cannot begin to describe how helpful the staff were. The young girl that was our designated helper throughout the party was so understanding and patient with the kids. Sometimes they didn't listen as well as "typical" children but she interacted with them wonderfully and did a great job at rounding them up when it was time to move on. After the kids were done jumping, they had her whole party room set up with pizza and cake ready to go. I cannot recall this girls name but she was a blessing! She wrote down all of the kids names and their presents so that thank you cards will be a breeze for me. Until now, I have yet to enjoy one of my daughter's birthday parties because I am so frazzled with details and corralling children. I really enjoyed this party! The kids had so much fun! Others have noted this--but this location is DARK and cold (granted, it was earlier in the day in MN winter, maybe the heater hadn't had time to kick in). The birthday portion was lovely, well-lit, and well-run... But I don't think may of the parents removed their coats for the activity section. And back to the lighting... that was probably the worst of it. They need to double the amount of lights they have in those spaces. Yikes. read more

We went there for a kids birthday and were very disappointed. First the gross smell of dirty shoes and socks is overwhelming when you walk in. All kids have to take their shoes off and hey don't seem to have a way to manage the smell. Many of the lights were broken. Two of the blow up things broke while we were there. It's dirty with no place to sit for adults. It was very hot like they didn't have the a/c on. And they man who was working there who said he was in his 50's was not professional at all. There was no toilet paper, the bathroom was dirty, the water fountain was broken. On every Level it was low quality. The kids even had to sit on a dirty concrete floor for the b-day party. They charged the mom $24 for pizza only to see they ordered from dominos which likely cost them $5. read more

I do not feel that this place is a good value. The other comments about the smell when you walk in are spot on. The juice boxes are so tiny that after an hour of jumping the kids slam them and then want more, but they only give you one per kid. The juice is gone before they even eat. The pizza is from Dominos, I would prefer to bring in my own and have higher quality with better ingredients. The person that runs your party appeared to be a high schooler. A high schooler cannot control a room of 15 five year olds. She tried her best and tried to be as helpful as possible. The part that annoyed me the most was the receipt. They put a gratuity amount at the bottom based on what you paid. 10% easily comes to $30. What!? Why would I tip that much when only about 20 minutes of their time is spent actually serving my party vs walking around watching them jump. I had to remind them that we had a glow party so it was turned on late. It is not my job to remind them, I work full time, I outsource my party for sanity! They also nickel and dime you for everything. An extra $5 for air hockey inside the second room for example. Really? They walk around and take pictures and then want to charge you $10 for them. They are not anything special. They could easily increase the value of their offerings by adding in the air hockey and they pictures and more drinks. Did the kids have a blast? Absolutely.
