Old school, no nonsense, great work and no heart attack when the bill comes. That's what you want, and that's what I've had from Hoffman Plumbers. The vanity unit the plumber connected is heavy mahogany, marble and brass. That didn't stop the guy lifting it, and somehow carrying it through the bathroom and setting it down at the right spot before connecting it. That alone shows the above and beyond level of service - you can trust these guys to get it done correctly.

These plumbers told me that the hot water cylinder couldn't be installed where I wanted it (back of the house) saying it was impossible to make it happen , so they charged me full fee for the placement on the FRONT DECK! But my amazing builder thought this was very strange and encouraged me to investigate, only to find out later the employee, Josh McKean, was just lazy & reticent to put in the extra work to locate it where I wanted it. Dan then charged for Josh, the junior plumber (who had lied about the facts) , to relocate in my preferred position! So to avoid the threat of debt collectors (yup - their mistake but twisted it to become my problem!) and just wanting them out of my life, I paid twice for laziness, indolence and being misled. Was also told Josh had arrived at 6.30am but neighbours said he arrived between 8-9am, and also was told by neighbours that Josh spent lots of time chatting on the phone. Can't trust these guys! Need to watch them all the time which I couldn't do, but my builder said Josh seemed slow & incompetent all the time. Final straw was when Josh turned up to install the cylinder at the back when he'd been found out to have lied, and started asking me on the phone arrange for the concrete plinth to be built for the Cylinder. When I asked why he didn't do that or plan for it to be done himself (since he knew it was needed and he actually admitted telling me days ago that the ground was uneven, presumably part of the reason for putting it on the front deck!) he told me not to argue with him and not to raise my voice ! I KNOW! UNBELIEVABLE!! HE'S 25!! Has his head lodged firmly in an unfortunate part of his anatomy. I phoned Dan to complain about the way Josh had spoken to me and hadn't prepared for the plinth and said I was unlikely to get an apology from Josh so I told them to stop the cylinder relocation and just complete the bathroom fitoff. But Dan told Josh to leave the job there and then and refused to finish the fitoff. I called Dan again to ask him to finish what he'd started as this was just a few days before Christmas with a tenant booked to move in before Christmas. He flatly refused. Don't know that I've ever come across a less professional and ignorant attitude. So if you like being ripped off, verbally abused, and lied to, then Dan Taylor Plumbing are definitely your guys! It all ended well with a fantastic plumber completing the job in time, but he thought Josh had done some pretty strange things when he looked his work!

they have been employed to replace a double hand basin during a fit-out, replaced only one basin…read morebut not the other one (which let's say is ok with the current materials shortage and all that...) and connected that to sanitary sewer but the sewer connection for the other hand basin was left open for several weeks with soap foam overflowing from there when the installed hand basin was used... not good. But maybe it is complaint, as they are professionals? Yeah, right. Just to clarify, I am not involved directly in paying for the work, and this is in a commercial environment, but it shows their attitude towards the job and the client's premises. They also dinged a car in the carpark and acknowledged that but do not want to hear about it anymore, the poor guy needs to sort it out himself...

REALLY IMPRESSED Drip from ceiling identified Saturday…read moremorning ... suspect DVS system buckling under extreme humidity, but not so. NOW know plumbing's installed through the ceiling (relatively new address for us) AND it's a weekend (in December), so try to call in a plumber ASAP. Turns out you wait for Monday, as no phone response, other than message service, from 5 tried .. 'please email'. So I emailed 4 ... 3 responses .. speedy reply from 'Ideal Plumbing' ... 'couldn't get there til Thursday at best' .. OK from 'JG' .. 'wouldn't be til mid January'. But nearly instantaneous from 'Eagle' ... 'can have someone there Monday between 3/3:30' ... YES !! And at 3:10 pm, 'Sean' was knocking on our door. A pleasant young man who cheerfully scrambled into a confined ceiling space without preamble, and had the repair done within the hour .. and offered cautionary advice before leaving re the plumbing product. The bill .. $201.31 BRILLIANT !

When they arrived they insisted on doing a mains test, my partner said no thanks, but they went ahead and did it anyway. Then tried to upsell a new valve system, we asked them to leave. All engagement with these people was unpleasant and condescending. They could not seem to understand we didn't engage their services. When I questioned the bill of $250 for a 20min visit where nothing was done, the receptionist Phil, offered us a winz referral, and condescendingly asked if we were suffering hardship. Furthermore they keep phoning me to discuss my mains pressure and insisting they need to come back. Avoid this company at all cost. Looking fwd to whatever lies you respond with to this honest review. UPDATE, we had a decent plumber arrive later in the day. The tap needed a new cartridge did not need replacing as Seal had told us. And the mains pressure, whilst high, won't blow up or damage my appliances as Phil told me on the phone when he called to insist we needed them to come back and replace our valves....nice try Phil. We advised the Seal on day one we will pay the bill on the date it is due. However, they chased us nearly 4 weeks before the due date and sent a copy of an invoice that had been tampered with (changed dates and mismatched invoice numbers. The Cylinder Guy got his unregistered plumber to attend the leak and was full of reasons as to why it was leaking due to the weather changing and then that the plumber was registered but not with the Plumbing Gas fitting Drain laying Board but another company. None of these conversations were followed up with emails as requested so I called in another plumbing company at my expense. Lucky that I did as there was a safety valve missing under the house, no siesmic restraint and the drain pipe that would have dripped over my back steps and was a serious health hazard has now been done properly. We have complained to the Plumbing Gas Fitting Drain Laying Board and await there reply on how The Cylinder Guy who is not a registered plumber can send unregistered plumbers out to do such an important job, my cylinder is no longer a time bomb waiting to go off but a safe new addition to my home. The Cylinder guy is a cowboy who hires sales staff who can talk the talk but not walk the walk. Beware of this guy and my recommendation is that he cease trading until he can provide a safe installation of cylinders - how many other time bombs are in homes without customers knowing this information.
