I had a big ball gown (horse hair style) which required alterations to the chest area, taking in the bodice, adding a bustle, and hemming it. But it all came down to this - as a man who runs his family business, he wanted to support a family business. Goldsmiths, a family run jewellery store for the last 40, is the type of place you could drive by everyday on your way to work for a year and not even notice it. Like I did. He knew what type of person I was, he kind of hand an idea of what I would like - so he found a few pictures but more than anything, used words to describe to the staff there what he thought the ring should look like. With the descriptions he gave them, they created a one of a kind, vintage inspired engagement ring. They took time and energy to custom design a setting that he would be proud to put a diamond on. Numerous visit, back and forth decision making, hair pulling, he had nothing but their full attention to make sure it was perfect. On top of that - he says flat out he got the most diamond for his money, far and beyond what other retailers and wholesalers could offer him. Why not pay a little more for authentic ceremonial pieces at Buhran. The store has a good selection of many things, prayer tablets, pillowcases, lanterns, so if you don't mind paying for what I know is a huge mark up on all these items but love Tibet then this is your store.

The clothes are beautiful and can be fairly expensive considering their quality but they have decent sales. But to be honest, I don't go for the clothes. I love the buddha statues which are just beautiful, the prayer flags, the gemstones and the jewelry. It all feels unique, and the family that runs the place is just lovely. It's always worth a peek.

The personal conversation did not end when I arrived at the cutting table but continued a full 5 minutes before I asked if there was someone who could help me. Meanwhile I did learn about some of the work politics going on between co-workers. I will omit details. This store is right by fabricland and the prices are higher than fabricland. I would have left to shop there instead but this store had a pattern that I couldn't find elsewhere. When a customer chooses your location they should not have to wait for your personal call before you choose to help them. It's disrespectful and I didn't need to hear about the politics. Shop here for the fabric, not for the customer service.

I am writing to share my deep frustration regarding the recent experience I've had with their…read morereview-based rewards program. I am a frequent shopper who values your brand, but the current implementation of their coupon policy is incredibly disappointing and feels intentionally misleading. Between April 2nd and April 13th, I submitted five product reviews. Based on my understanding of the program, I was anticipating receiving my 25% discount code on July 1st. To my dismay, I discovered that the coupon is tied specifically to the last date a review was submitted. Consequently, I am now forced to wait until July 13th to receive the discount, rather than the beginning of the month. This policy is incredibly frustrating for a few reasons: Lack of Transparency: Nowhere on their website was it clearly stated that the issuance of the reward is pegged to the specific calendar date of the final review submission. I feel blindsided by a rule that isn't communicated upfront. Inventory Risk: Because I am now stuck waiting until the 13th, the items I intended to purchase with this discount are at a high risk of selling out or having my size become unavailable. It defeats the purpose of being a loyal customer who takes the time to provide feedback if I cannot actually use the incentive provided. The Logic of the Policy: The current structure simply doesn't make sense. If a customer submits a review on the 30th of a month, they receive the coupon on the 30th--practically at the end of the window. Furthermore, if I purchase an item on the 29th, I am effectively forced to wait until the 30th to review it anyway. It would be far more customer-friendly and logical to have these rewards issued on the 1st of the month, regardless of the specific submission date, so that customers can actually plan their shopping accordingly. I truly enjoy Anthro products, but this experience has left me feeling undervalued as a customer. I hope Anthro will reconsider how this policy is messaged to shoppers or, better yet, update the system to be more functional and transparent.
