I drove 30 minutes to get to this place, and it was well worth it. The food is just amazing!! The naan is so soft and not rubbery like some other places. The paneer tikka masala has easily become one of my favorites. The food is so well prepared, and very authentic. And believe it or not, it's not too expensive! We have been looking for good Indian cuisine locally since moving to the area, and we have finally found it. The food was absolutely fantastic, and the service was phenomenal. Best butter chicken ever!!! The portion sizes were just right and the prices were reasonable. They even offer delivery service and a lunch buffet 7 days a week. I bought a Punjabi junction coupon from localflavors.com. I called and ordered some food. He told that the coupon was only for Dine in. I told the manger that it was NOT mentioned in the coupon as "DINE IN ONLY". He cut the call. I felt it was very rude and unacceptable behavior. Okay so I never write reviews but I just have to say this place is so good. My friend at work told me about this place. I tried this other place in Tysons and it was just way to buttery all you could taste is the butter. So when she told me this place I was skeptical because I hate trying new things and new places. I had some of hers that she made at home and it was soo good! so She recommended this place and said she really liked this! I had to try it ! So I tried it yesterday it is good. First time visitor and thought it was good. the best dish was the tandoori chicken. The others were okay. Only so-so comment is the rice. I'm a rice fan and that's kind of important to me. There's was a little overcooked, just didn't have the firmness it should. Service is really good. The guys are attentive to their customers and seem genuine in wanting them to be happy with their offerings. Definitely check it out if you are considering doing so. The food is pretty good I suppose but the service, while very fussy and they make a big show of catering to you, still leaves something to be desired. We tried to call ahead for takeout and couldn't get through, it just kept going to voicemail. We really wanted Indian food and the other nearby place closed to we trekked over here and placed our orders in person. Told them we tried to call for an hour and barely got a 'sorry.' And on top of that had to wait 30+ minutes to pretty basic orders. Which is a problem when you have a hungry, tired, one-year-old baby, which is why we just wanted to order ahead and pickup! Then they can't even throw in some garlic naan or anything? Seriously? We might be making the drive to Ashburn or Herndon next time we want Indian. read more

Really sad to write this review as I want to support a local business. I ordered 4 dishes to go. I ordered mild in all of the comments even for the chicken korma and chicken tikka masala which are fairly mild dishes to begin with. The tikka wasn't too bad but I've never seen peppers in a masala before. The other three dishes were too hot to eat; I tried as I love curry just not hot curry. I didn't order a vindaloo! I also felt skimped on rice. I got three dishes with sides of rice and just one carton of rice was included - wouldn't even be two portions. This was my second time ordering. I was apprehensive given the first time I didn't ask for mild and it was too spicy but had hoped, seeing other positive comments, they'd make it mild as I'd requested. read more

Absolutely phenomenal Indian Restaurant. Everything was fresh and flavorful from the papadams/sauces served as we sat down to the chicken tikka masala and butter chicken we had for dinner. Each of my family members is very opinionated about the level of heat (spice) they like in their food. We run the gamut from Fiery HOT to absolutely NOT (spicy at all). Punjabi Junction nailed every request perfectly. Our food was clearly made specifically for our order - it was fresh and delicious. The highlight of the mean was the Naan bread. Several other reviewers have mentioned it and I concur. The best Naan bread I have had in Northern Virginia / DC in the last 13 years. Honestly, I'm not a big fan of Indian cuisine, but this place makes me crave it like an In-n-out double double burger, animal style. The meat is so juicy and tender; the sauces are flavorful and abundant; and the service is fantastic! I could eat there everyday. read more

I called initially to order some goat biriyani for pickup. I was dissuaded by the person answering the call. So I changed my order to goat curry with Lacha paratha. When I went to pick the order I learned that I was getting the onion kulcha instead of Lacha paratha. I let that pass. I went home and served myself some goat curry and onion kulcha. The goal curry tasted like canned tomato puree, mixed with some chilly powder and the goat itself was difficult to chew. Either it was undercooked or over cooked. This goat curry was just not the worst goat curry but the dish will probably make it to my list of top worst dishes I have ever eaten in a restaurant. far as the kulcha it was underwhelming at best. I will give the restaurant the benefit of the doubt and try a different dish next time. read more

Have always ordered takeout and sometimes had a beer at the bar while waiting. My review is not based on on-premise dining. Goat curry has been consistently good, naans are always good, samosas are good, the goat biryani also would have been very good, except they put a lot of cooked onions in there. A lot! That kind of kills the taste. I have also tried Chhole Bhature, and was highly disappointed that the chhole was pretty bland and tasteless. But overall, pretty good and portions are big. The employees are very polite and do their best to help you, even when you are getting takeout. read more

My husband and I are addicted to the chicken tika masala (and they make it extra spicy at his request). Other places are closer, but we never order anywhere else. The garlic naan is fantastic also. We have never dined in, so can't comment on dining in experience. Our only complaint is that it seems that the portions have gotten smaller. Let me make it very simple for you. If you like Indian food then you will love the food here. My husband just came back from being stationed in India the last year and this is the best he has had in the area by far. We had the butter chicken (of course) which was amaaaaaazing! I had the shrimp vindaloo, the shrimp could have been bigger but the flavor was there. We also had paneer, garlic naan, vege samosas (a bit salty) and some desert that was also great. Yep we went full on. Wanted to try everything and everything that we did have has great. The service was impeccable. My water never got below half a glass.
