Unfortunately I was truly excited to try this place and was severely disappointed by the service and time it took to make the food. Not only did it take ten minutes to be greeted. After I ordered I was told it would take ten minutes, a reasonable amount of time. I come back in 15 the food is not ready, I ask about it and get told it will be out shortly. I had to wait another 15 minutes. My order was incorrect I ordered butter chicken (which was pretty good) with rice, and an additional side of garlic naan. My butter chicken only came out with garlic naan. After going back inside and inquiring about it I was told it would take five minutes. Sad to say it took longer. read more

H1B has a great location with plenty of parking and a good atmosphere. It's a simple Indian restaurant with counter ordering and has a nice simple seating area with big windows. Today I stopped by for lunch, just walking by, and ordered their mild G.O.A.T Dum Biryani and Mango Lassi. Kiran the cashier was nice and polite, very knowledgeable and answered all my requests very well. The food came out quickly and hot. I think the mango lassi was a bit small for it's price but tasted homemade. The goat was extremely spicy for me, even after I was asked how spicy I would like it, and I replied very mild, not spicy. It's was difficult to eat it without a lot of extra toppings and sauces to make it more mild, but then my rice turned into soup. I think that if you normally like the spices that made with Indian food you'll agree with the other reviewers here that it's a nice place to eat. For me it too hot and spicy! As a bonus they offered me to try their desert: Mango Rabadi and a small sample of their chicken kabob. The Mango Rabadi was very good, a pleasant sweetened dessert, but the chicken kabob was also super spicy for me but full of flavor! If you like Indian food it sounds like this is the place to go, but for me it's way too spicy! The owner and the cashier were very nice and friendly. Very friendly service, the person who I assume is the owner explained to me the cooking process behind the spicy chicken and then asked me what I thought. It was very good btw. Pretty spicy, but didn't distract me from the good flavor (I should note I have a high spice tolerance) Mango Lassi is also good. Refreshing and creamy. Def recommend this place. read more

We went here on a week night to check out a new place that opened up. They first of all have a very clean and nice interior and are very welcoming walking in. We got the pepper paneer, peri peri chicken wings, and chicken biryani. All of the dishes are absolutely phenomenal. They are cooked well and have really nice authentic flavors. Too many choice restaurants nearby a bit Novel by offering no oil cooking etc., but Indian food supposed to be cheat meal of the week needs ghee/butter oil etc., ordered/tasted green chicken to be honest bit stale chicken entirely of chicken thigh. After seeing all the good reviews, we decided to try H1B Biryani for the first time. We ordered 2lb Goat Biryani and a small Tandoori Chicken. The experience was beyond disappointing. One piece of the Tandoori Chicken looked like someone had already taken a bite out of it -- completely unappetizing, so we didn't even touch it. As for the Goat Biryani, it was overly salty, but the worst part was that it was basically just rice. We got exactly two small pieces of meat and SIX bone pieces with no meat at all -- absolutely ridiculous. I've never had an experience like this anywhere else. This was a total waste of time and a long drive from Maryland. We will definitely be sticking to our usual spot from now on. Super disappointed. Never going back. read more

It's a new restaurant in Chantilly/SouthRiding. We ordered chilli chicken, chicken Dum and boneless chicken Biryani. Dum Chicken Biryani reminded me of eating in Hyderabad restaurant. We also liked Chili Chicken. It was made different. They are on spicy side which we liked. We asked for medium spice and it was probably 7 on spice scale. Value for money is also excellent. We will most likely come back. Will consider them for catering orders if they are decently priced. read more

Unassuming place with exceptional, fresh and authentic Hyderabadi dishes. Tried Veg, Chicken Dum Biryani and Tandoori chicken. This is a gem! If you are tired of the routine biryani available at many places around the area. By routine biryani, I mean the unnecessary heat, chilli powder, added extra spices in the other places that kills the taste buds and sad for your gut on the day and the next. This is not a place for you. This was our first time trying H1B because my family doesn't like the routine biryani. The most flavorful biryani where the taste quality and the amount of spices are just as a high quality biryani should taste like. Very impressive the cooks didn't follow the routine biryani and kept it flavorful and soulful. We ordered so many dishes and are so satisfied with the quality taste and the flavor of all. None of the flavors were so overpowering that I couldn't take a second bite. There were absolutely no food color used. The spices used were fresh and the salt level was appropriate. I would recommend everyone who loves the flavor tries this place out. This will be our go to place for our biryani cravings. The dessert was amazing as well pure cardamom and flavors were spot on for all the dishes we ordered. I included a picture of their labels on the boxes it clearly delivers what it promises. We came here last minute for dinner and I must say, I am glad we did. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. The food, is so good. It taste freshly made and portion size is adequate. The desert, gulab jamun cheesecake, is yummy Oh! Let's not forget the Mango Lassi, which was quite a delicious drink.
