I was recommended this business by a neighbor who always has well groomed pups. I gave the team a call, left a voicemail and was contacted within 48 hours (I think someone was out). I gave a description of my dog over the phone - she is a husky mix but doesn't have a traditional husky coat. We didn't explicitly discuss what was needed for the appointment but because I said husky mix it was assumed that all she needed was a bath and that's what I was booked for. When I showed up the front desk was surprised by my dogs look and I said I was there for a grooming. They said I was only booked for a bath but would check with the groomer if they could fit me into the schedule. Good news, they were able to fit us in. The groomer was so sweet and patient with my nervous puppy. They were done at the time they had originally told me and gave me a call 15 minutes before my dog would be ready. My husband brought our dog home and discovered that her front toenail was bleeding a lot. We called the owner, who stated that they were not the cause of the bleeding, and advised us not to go to the vet before hanging up on us. We are very concerned by the groomer's response to this situation. The deep cut was clear and something that should have been noticed by the groomer and caught immediately. Pup Culture did a fine job with the grooming but worrisome that my dog came back home clearly groggy and sedated. Upon picking up my dog, they acted surprised that I had gotten there as quick as I had and said "Oh he just woke up!" which I though was strange. For the next 5 hours my dog was lethargic and panting heavily. He's a small dog maybe 5 pounds, so whatever they used to sedate him (which they shouldn't be doing in the first place) they dosed much more than for a dog that size. Again; as far as the grooming, the did a great job but between the sedation, lying about it, and then not letting people in the building, it adds up to something suspicious. We adopted our sweet Gordon recently and he was in desperate need of a good spaw day after leaving the shelter. Pup Culture not only got us in very quickly (a day after calling!) but treated Gordy so well. He came out looking ten years younger and smelling like blueberries. And, the bandana just adds to his handsomeness. I wish I got the name of his groomer but I forgot to ask! I can't believe I haven't done a review for this place yet! My boyfriend and I have two dogs, a floofy husky & crazy boxer-mix! Unfortunately we do not have the time or energy to deal with having to a bathe a floofy teddy bear because that would take us EASILY 4 hrs to do so we just opt for the groomers. Most people are skeptical taking their dogs to a groomer however this is the best groomer ever and it's perfect that they're right down the street from where we live! Appointments are easy even though they are closed Sunday and Monday & they get the job done right! Since the husky is... well husky... he has to get 2 blow out jobs because of his floofiness which we do not mind paying because the whole point for them going is to get them all purdy! It costs us only $40 for the boxer-mix because she's real easy but they do a wash, blow out, teeth cleaning, & ear cleaning AND they get a cute themed bandana afterwards! They have never messed up the dogs like some people might say, but as dog owners who take them there once a month for the past several years, yeah they're definitely doing something right! read more

I had my dog there for grooming and the girl handling her at that time did a terrible job. my dog had scratches on her tummy and inner thighs,. the girl said, that she had no help to handle my dog, there would have been only her and one other groomer, so she was not able to cut my dogs front toe nails. I had to go to my vet in order to get this done, but they charged me the full price. my vet cut the nails in 3 minutes. I called the shop again and wanted to talk to the owner, but they would not give me the owner's contact number and got very rude on the phone, when I asked for it. If the owner reads that, please get back to me, you need to know, what is going on in your shop. my contact must be in your system in the shop. The girl who handled my dog before my last appointment was amazing, but I have been told, she is no longer working there anymore. read more

I really didn't want to leave this review because I fully understand what even just one bad yelp review could mean to a local business but my story needs to be shared so other dog owners can be warned. My first experience with Pup Culture was FANTASTIC the lady listened to what I asked for and my dog walked out looking and feeling amazing. Since everything went so well the first time I was eager to take my dog back a month later but had I known they would return my dog to me WITH A SPRAINED TAIL AND MENTION NOTHING ABOUT IT TO ME I would have never stepped foot in this horrible business. When I first dropped my dog off I told the gal in the front exactly what I wanted as I always do and had done the time prior. I told her that I wanted her to be buzzed but I wanted her general round face shape to stay the same. I was first disappointed when I got her back and realized that the groomer did NOT stick with what I told her. She was buzzed but her face had completely lost her round shape. Although disappointed with their lack of listening this is not why I'm writing this review as it got way way way worse. I have a multipoo anyone familiar with the breed knows that their tails curl. I knew something was wrong when I took her home and her tail was not curling. Upon examining why she wasn't curling her tail my heart sunk as I realized she would scream in pain as I touched her tail. When I trimmed back all the hair to her bone (that my groomer left for whatever reason even though it was not proportionate to her buzzed body)... thats when I saw the DRIED BLOOD and two obvious SCABS my dog was left with. I took her to the vet and found out that her tail is SPRAINED and now she'll be on pain meds every 8 hours. I am giving this place 1 star for many reasons. They gave me back my dog INJURED WITHOUT MENTIONING ANYTHING to me!!!! When I called to get some information on what happened the lady answering the phone was quick to say "its our policy to mention if anything happens to the owners so that they're not surprised when they get their dog back" but when I got ahold of the lady who groomed my dog (who's name I won't mention because I don't want to ruin her business) she apologized and blamed it on her "pregnancy brain". Clearly their "policy" is not heavily enforced as it slipped everyones mind to mention that upon grooming my dog you tugged too hard on her tail and now she has to endure discomfort and pain for weeks for your mistake. I am severely disappointed in this business, for what they did to my dog and the way they handled the situation when I told them. No refund just a half ass apology and an excuse. I will NEVER TAKE MY DOG BACK HERE AGAIN and have told everyone I know to do the same. Dogs aren't robots and expecting them to stay still for 2 hours at a time is unrealistic. Even with that mistakes happen, but to not mention anything to me when the injury is so apparent (I can't touch her tail without her whimpering) is inexcusable. read more
