I try to make it here every other Saturday to get my bully's nails trimmed. I love that I don't have to make an appointment. If I have the time great, if I don't that's cool too. I do try to get there right when they open so I can catch them when it isn't too busy yet. The male worker is usually able to stop what he's doing to do the quick trim. My bully is big and hates to get his nails trimmed but the male worker here always does an amazing job and works with him the best he can. Usually other places would either give up or charge a lot more. I do wish they were open on Sundays, but it's no biggie. read more

Update for our second visit. Songs did a great job again. I believe it's a husband and wife shop. He definitely knows how to handle dogs - we have a 10 pound mutt that is completely antisocial and won't let strangers near her, and an almost 20 pound mutt that is all good looks and not many brain cells, but he does not like to be picked up at all. When I dropped them off today he just scooped both dogs up in his arms with no complaints from either of our pups. The grooming was quick and the pups look clean and refreshed. I kind of want to gate keep this place so that I don't experience the 6 week wait our previous groomers had, but this nice shop deserves attention. Please give them a try. If you're a first-time customer at this place, be cautious. They might overcharge new customers. My dog weighs only 11 pounds, yet they charged me $95. I didn't request anything special, so isn't $95 an unreasonable price? I went there because a friend recommended it, saying her dog, which weighs over 15 pounds, was groomed for $75. It felt like they were trying to rip off a first-time customer. I will never use this grooming shop again, and I will warn others to be careful as they might overcharge. Recently moved to the area and was looking for a simple dog nail clipping. No frills just something quick and affordable. Tried calling a few places near me and they all wanted appointments or wouldn't answer. Took my dog here and I was very pleased. Done in less than 5 minutes and they did a really good job trimming and grinding those nails. I've been to other places that don't trim all the way or have made my dog bleed. DO NOT BRING YOUR CAT HERE! I wish I could give 0 stars because they treat cats so horribly here. There are two people who appear to operate this grooming business, a man and a woman. The woman seems to have good reviews but the man treated my cat terribly. I tried to explain to the man doing the nail trim that my cat is very shy and not at all aggressive. He didn't listen and took my cat to the back but where I could see the whole thing unfold. The man immediately 'scruffed' my cat on the back of the neck and started moving him around the grooming table like a stuffed animal. He then stuffed him into a bowl and continued throwing him around the table. He would yank and pull on my cats arms and legs while trimming the nails. At the end, he ripped off the bowl so hard my cat hissed then he plopped my cat into the carrier and handed him back to me with one hand so that my cat was falling towards the floor in the carrier. I had some strong words for the man and paid my fee then left. I will not come back here ever and I recommend you stay far away from them too. The groomer here DOES NOT TAKE CARE OF CATS! This was the first self wash dog grooming place we took our dog to and it used to be our preferred location until at least came out with their dog grooming station. What I like about songs as the owners are very friendly it's a mom-and-pop shop. They have several tubs and each tub has its own dryer. The dryer's are on the shop vac quality and that it only takes a few minutes to totally blow dry your dog. The only negative is that it's an elevated tub and while there are steps it's hard for our three legged dog to get into the tub. We have to lift him to put him in. Given that he's 70 pounds it's not an easy task. Plus he slips and slides all over and he does NOT like it. But it's a great place to come and you want to wash your dog and support a small local business. read more

Song did a fantastic job on my fur babies! He was very accommodating with my work schedule and stay open late just so I could bring them in and didn't have to leave work early. I have had a problem with my newest rescue Brutus's nails since I got him and Song actually got his nails short! I have no idea how he did it without hitting the quick! I have mostly been taking my parents pet here for full service (except nail trim). Our dogs (italian mastiff and golden retriever) are not fans of the steps that lead into the tub. You are usually greeted with a smile. Your visit is recorded as well as the service you had. You could also bathe your own pet you wish. My parent's dog is very happy after his service, always shows a little pep in his walk. They usually finish before the time given at the time of your drop off, and they will give you a courtesy call when you pet is ready. I was a little nervous at first and kept researching places to go take my dogs for a nice groom. Song's had amazing reviews (and still does) and it's not too far away from home. I first tried them out for a nail trimming and then decided that I really like the place and the staff. One of my dogs tends to have a lot of anxiety but I think they handle her well. Prices are reasonable and they treat our puppers really well. They always get a treat at the end which they love. I take no pleasure in updating with a negative review of Song's. Only a year ago I wrote a great review of this place. I have been taking my sweet Cosi here for about 7 years. She is 14 years old and as she's aged, she has more little bumps on her body, similar to skin tags. I don't know what happened this time but you only have to look at my photos to see what Song's did to my sweet baby. The groomer, I assume Mr. Song since he was the one who handed her over to me, nicked 3 of her little bumps so they bled quite a lot. Again, see photos posted here. When he gave her to me, he never mentioned (owned up to) hurting her. I did notice something wasn't right, and he walked away very quickly. As I drove home she bled more and more so I had to exit and stop to put pressure on these areas, especially the one on her head. When I texted him and sent him the photos, I received no reply, nor any apology. Frankly, I am in shock! I texted him again and re-sent the photos and still have not heard a peep from him. It's been over a month. How could a good, responsible groomer do this to an innocent dog? Why didn't he scissor around those areas carefully? It seems he just ran over them haphazardly with the clippers. And then failed to own up to it or apologize. Anyone who would bathe or just run a hand across this very small dog, would feel these bumps. He knows her. He's groomed her many times and knows she has these bumps and managed not to injure her before. I am sad and disappointed and waited for a long time before writing this review. I am not out to hurt anyone's livelihood but others encouraged me to do this to prevent other pets from being hurt and mishandled at Song's. Perhaps it is time for Mr. Song to hang up his clippers. Nobody who does this to an innocent pet should be in charge of grooming one. read more

Been taking our furbies here since 2016. Song is amazing at handling and caring for our dogs. She and her staff know our dogs' individual quirks and is able to provide them with quality grooming services. The prices are decent and worth it. Our furbies always come out with sparkles in their eyes, coats feeling soft and looking fresh. One time, they trimmed a little too much fur off of my jack russell. It was brought to their attention and it has never happened again. They are accomodating and understand what it takes to provide good customer service. read more

I have a Scottish terrier, and decided to try this groomer after seeing good reviews and photos from another scottie owner. They asked if I wanted a standard scottie groom. I answered yes, and specifically told them--twice--not to touch her eyebrows. We had been growing them out for more than a year. Guess what they clipped? Not just her eyebrows, but beautiful long lashes too. They also clipped her tail to the same length as her back. A Scottie's tail is supposed to look like a thick upside down carrot, but hers looks like a literal rat tail. It's been a week now and I'm still so upset. Insult to injury, this was the most expensive groom I've ever paid for. Leaving 2 stars because they got her very clean and nice smelling, and did a decent enough job blending her back/skirt fur. read more
