I was craving pupusas and platanos con crema y frijoles for my granddaughter. As I picked up the menu, I noticed they did not have "prices" on the menu. Then I asked the lady how much were the pupusas. She said, $4.50 for beans and cheese and revueltas only. Now, I know that everyone blames the economy but really, these small pupusas and not enough beans on the platano dish and she is charging me $26.00 for 3 bean and cheese pupusas and the platano dish and then charges me a fee to use y debit card without telling me there is a fee. I'm visiting from California and I haven't paid $4.50 for a pupusa in Cali yet. I don't recommend this place .....sorry. read more

This was my first time ordering from here. I got three pupusas and the two-tamale plate. The pupusas were okay, but unfortunately the tamales had a really unpleasant taste, almost as if they were no longer fresh. We found a new pupusa spot y'all!! I ordered two number 27 combos. To one of them I added some casamiento, scrambled eggs and an extra pupusa revuelta WITH a side of queso fresco. All of those for $42 dollars. Did they lose their minds by not charging 10$ for extra plantains ? Absolutely not. These women know how to cook, they know hot to price the food and they know how to treat customers! The plantains were half ripe and just right. The other half needed to ripen a bit longer. The pupusas were 10/10 . Competing against my mothers and doing VERY well. The curtido was missing that pungent tang of the vinegar, but other than that this was an amazing experience and we will be returning. Ambience was welcoming , authentic and vibrant. read more

This was my first visit. The staff is friendly and accomdating, and thats why I feel terriberible having to say the food just wasn't very good. On this visit we ordered beef empanadas, pupusas, and tamales. I was disappointed with the beef empanadas as I was with the tamales, the meat was somewhat dry and slightly overcooked and the tamales had an unappetizing flavor and we just could not eat them. The pupusas, however, were okay. The pricing is very wallet friendly, you can get a better meal, but you'll have a hard time getting more food for the price. read more

I'm giving this restaurant only 1 star because someone that works at this restaurant should have a little understanding of the English language. it is super frustrating to go to a restaurant that no one speak English and also there are no prices listed. They have a huge menu posted so you can see what you want but HELLO they have put black tape over the prices so even if you wanted to know how much something is good luck. These pupusas are so good and I have never even ventured to try another place since I tried them four years ago. No need to switch it up! The cabbage is also so crispy and yummy and the salsa perfect. They are made by hand and you can see your meal being made for you if you watch. They require masks here but I unfortunately see some of the employees having masks around their chins at times. Open for dine in ! But there are only a few tables available (I'd say about four). Oh yes, and be sure to order ahead by phone to pick up food. They can take a while to make if you order in store. read more

This place was definitely different. And not in a bad way. They menu has a lot of different plate combinations you can chose from. I got 2 pupusas and 1 tamal. Let me tell you!!!! It was delicious! Pupusa was a revuelta so that means beans cheese and pork. The tamal was a pork tamal. Its definitely not ur typical tamal but it was pretty good. I will definitely be coming back. read more

The pupusas, were very delicious so was the chicken Tamale. They have an assortment of beers, and soft drinks including natural fruit drinks. They offer the traditional Salvadorian tomato salsa as well as a more spicy green salsa. The staff is friendly and courteous. Just one thing I was not to thrilled with. Was the 1 dollar charge for using a credit or debit card. Other than that I will definitely recommend and will coming back. They have karaoke night as well in the evening. read more

I came in today to place a small order "To Go" but as soon as I walked in, the lady asked me if I was paying with a card... I said, 'Yes.' She advised me that their machine was down. I could see two other women back and forth on the phone trying to get the issue fixed. I checked my wallet and I saw that I had $20 cash - perfect, because it was enough for the order I was going to make. I let her know I could place my order after all and proceeded to order from the menu in front of me. By the time she had my total, she said $19.49 so I handed her the $20 bill on my hand and she took it... she looks at her screen and then extends her hand back towards me with the bill and says, we fixed the machine did you still want to pay for it with your card? I said, 'Sure.' She gives me back my $20 bill, and I take my Debit card out. Once she swiped my card, she says, 'I'm sorry I forgot to ask you if you wanted to do Debit?' but since I didn't mind, I just entered my pin on the keypad and she gave me my receipts - Order detail and transaction receipt. My total had changed to $20.49 When I reviewed my receipt, I noticed that THEY CHARGED ME $1.00 TO USE MY CARD!!! They have SEVERAL signs posted everywhere in their restaurant and I did not see one nor was I advised that there was a fee to use my card, especially when she knew I had already handed her cash! Now I understand why they have such a huge sign saying: WE CANT EXCHANGE FOOD OR MONEY AFTER AN ORDER HAS BEEN PLACED. So I didn't say anything because I wanted to enjoy my food and I had ordered it 'To Go' for a reason. I waited 25 minutes to get my meal. I ordered three #43 'Empanadas de Platano' ($1.50/ea) they are DELICIOUS and a good size. Make sure you eat them when they're served warm. They make them very good. I had #44 'Platano Frito con Crema' ($5.95) and that was good too. The fried plantains were cooked perfectly and the refried beans w/crema were just right. The sad part is that their Pupusas were not good at all, at least not today. I only ordered two of the Pork with Cheese and the third with Loroco. They were small and not filled much. The curtido/coleslaw was very plain, not like the traditional Salvadorian curtido I've tried everywhere. The tomato sauce was mild but very watery. I will only go back for the empanadas de platano here but as far as the Pupusas... no, I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. I paid $2.50/each and they weren't even good at all. read more

Ordered one of each of their pupusas. They were made to order, really fresh. The cashier was very nice and the people seemed happy to want to help you. The curtido was nice and crisp, hate when it's been sitting out in a while.. their salsas weren't very spicy, but that's ok cuz they had other sauces available on the table. Amazing pupusas and 5 star quality customer service. Today I ordered 20 pupusas for a banquet and needed them early in the morning. Even though the restaurant doesn't open until 9:00 a.m. the owner graciously came in at 7:00 a.m. which was the time I told her I needed to pick up the food. This type of service creates devoted customers for life! I had a really great experience at this restaurant my girlfriend kind of drug me here not really knowing what I was going to get myself into I have never really tasted the cuisine before.
