Pupusas were ok, but lacking any flavor. Both very bland. The slaw and two hot sauces didn't help much. Green pepper was good and so was shredded chicken. Inside could use festive makeover.

This was my first experience eating Salvadoran food. I ordered the tres pastelitos and some of their pupusas. The food was all very good and very filling! Pastelitos were my favorite, had a nutty flavor similar to Fritos but in the best way possible and crispy on the outside. Pupusas were soft and filled with meat and beans, also pretty good. Definitely worth a try! Also very friendly staff.

I had been wanting to try pupusas for a long time and I found an old article from the New Times talking about Seydi's! So delicious! The kids and I ordered a half dozen so we each got 2. The carne asada, shrimp and cheese, bean with cheese, pork bean with cheese one, and 2 chicken. I love the pickled slaw and the sauce, great balance of flavors with the pupusas. Definitely will go back and I most certainly will recommend this place!

First time here and first time tasting Salvadoran Food. Have heard about pupusa's which look like stuffed corn (masa) pancakes. There were other food choices but opted for the steak and cheese pupusa and spinich and cheese pupusa. They were served with small containers of cole slaw and salsa. First bite of the steak pupusa had grizzle, however, that sometimes may happen. I liked the spinich and cheese pupusa. They are quite filling. Doused both with hot sauce. The Salvadoran cole slaw is quite different. It is slightly fermented with lime and spices. I don't really have any bench marks for comparing Salvadoran Food or this restaurant. Service was good, place is clean. I will be back to try other selections.

Loved everything about this place. Nice decor to remind you of El Salvador with maps and wall art. The pupusas were stuffed and best I've had in the phoenix area. The horchata tasted so good not that watered down sugar water they serve at Filiberto's. The horchata is the good stuff that is toasted and you can taste the quality if you know and can tell the difference. Talked to the owner and he is a very nice guy and down to earth. Definitely will be back when in the area again.

Driving down from the Grand Canyon and we find these amazing reviews so we must stop. Not the most aesthetically pleasing place but clean and their food is good!!! Why the 4 stars? The price. Now I thought NY was expensive but the pupusas were 4.25 each! The soup $20. Now the pupusas are really stuffed so worth the price but dang! Overall I do recommend, it's worth the price, I'd come again but wallets beware. Is this normal pricing for AZ?

I have been wanting to come here since I moved to the area last year and finally went here today! There's only one other pupusa restaurant I've been to and I loved it so I was super excited to try this place! I got 3 pupusas, spinach and cheese, zucchini and cheese, and jalepeno and cheese. I also got a side of the pico de gallo, rice, and beans. The pupusas also come with hot sauce and a vinegary cabbage slaw. I loved how fresh the food was. The pupusas were perfectly crisp on the outside and gooey and cheesy on the inside. They were super filling I definitely only needed two but now I have leftovers! Very flavorful food too. Would totally come here again and will be recommending it!

Delicious!! Came here after having driven by this place unknowingly for years. And it is awesome. We ate the half a dozen pupusas and my 3 1/2 year old even ate 1.5 What is there not to love if you have cheese and more cheese :-) all is Made fresh to order, so you got to pack a little bit of patience. The restaurant is definitely a great family run spot. Only point to improve is that the cutlery and plates are typical South American throw away. We will be back, next tile possibly for take out.

Pupusa - 1 chile verde, 1 jalapeno cheese, both super yummy!

What a great place to stop for lunch or breakfast or anytime you crave a pupusa - a round tender disc of corn cake with your choice of fillings. Filling, fit for vegetarians or meat lovers or a mix of both. We don't live nearby, but my family of 5 still plans to stop by any time we're in the area. This was perfect lunch for my 80 year old mom all the way to my 20 something 6'3" hungry soon who is gluten intolerant. And for me - a bargain to boot! Happily enjoyed the side 'slaw' that adds just the right bite to a comforting and homemade meal. We ate every delicious bite and can't wait to eat more.

It lacked a crisp crust. Filling was tasty. The horchata was sooo good I wanted free refills ! The pupusas were large and had a good amount of filling and they should be at $5.00 per pupusa. They were 45 cents in El Salvador 22 years ago for comparison. The loroco and cheese was really good ! Revuelta también! The tamale was stuffed but it was too soggy for my liking. Like some water got into the inside of the banana leaf during the cook . Overall it was a great little rincón guanaco ! Try it out. Service was all smiles and fast considering they were busy. Ambience is rustic nice and clean. Wish they played more Salvador music. Hello cumbias ! They were playing a great deal of "fuerza regida" which is good listening too.

We ordered the 3-pupusa combo with 2 sides for $17.40, which was totally worth the price. We tried the pork and cheese, squash and cheese, edible flower with cheese, and grilled steak with cheese. Every single one was so good. It was my first time trying edible flower with cheese, and it ended up being my favorite. Super flavorful and generously packed with filling. For the two sides, I got yuca frita and rice and beans. I liked how hot n crispy the yuca frita was and the rice and beans were delish. The Salvadoran horchata was HUGE and cost $5.90, which felt very reasonable for the size. Overall, everything was delicious, and I'll definitely be coming back whenever I'm craving pupusas.

I love how huge and thick the pupusas are. $4.50 for a pupusa. 2 pupusas is enough for me and I am stuffed! I love supporting small businesses and this restaurant really makes the best pupusas. The restaurant feels very homey like you came over to eat at your grandma's. The red sauce is mild and very good. Their green sauce has a lot of spice to it, so i usually just add the red sauce and the salad (curtidos) on top of my pupusas. We also got their Nuegado pastry which is a salvadorian fried yucca fritter. I really liked it and it was nice to end the meal with a good dessert. The staff are all super nice and they do take card.
