Sweet people but the food took waay too long to be served & they didn't even come to give us our drinks or let us know there would be a delay. There was also lot of confusion between front of house & BOH so everyone kept getting the wrong order. Maybe we caught them on a bad day.... The corn tamales were a bit on the dry side but their chicken tamales were perfect 10/10. We were in our way to Discovery Cube and I wanted something fast and light for lunch. I didn't want fast food, so we stopped here for some pupusas. The restaurant is really small, but they had a few tables. When we got to the restaurant there were only two other people, so we sat down right away. They have a small fridge with soft drinks to pick from or some freshly made juices to choose from. I went with a coconut drink which was ok. They have more than just pupusas in their menu and everything looked good, but I was craving a popusa. The food took a few minutes to come out, but not so long. The pupusas were delicious, soft and it had a great flavor. The curtido was a nice touch and added even more flavor to it. I think I it's a good place to stop by for some Salvadorian food. Man oh man... what a hidden GEM! I was craving pulpusas after shopping at Costco and this hit the spot! I ordered the Revueltas pulpusas and a coffee to go, while I waited. The coffee here is amazing!!! It has a slight cinnamon taste to it and is super smooth! I was very surprised. My pulpusas were great. A decent size and they gave me lots of cortido (pickled cabbage) , which I appreciate. The workers here are also really nice, and spoke English which I appreciated. Great little spot to enjoy some Salvadorian pupusas. First of all it was an inexpensive and tasty meal ($30 for 4 people including tip - unheard of in 2024). It is small, but nice and clean (they got an A score from the Health Department). I got 2 pupusas (mixed and chicharrón) and they were very tasty and soft. My kids each got a mixed one and they liked it. My wife also got a mixed one, but she is a pro, she even gets the cabbage salad thing they have (curtido) and puts it on her pupusa. I'm not a huge fan of Salvadorian food, but it was good. Their service was outstanding. My wife had a Guanavana DMP coconut milk drink and it was alright (I would say it is probably an acquired taste? ). We came this past Sunday and decided to dine in, the place wasn't packed but the food did take forever to come out. Disappointed because I thought as soon as I tasted my food that it would be worth the wait, but sadly, it wasn't. I ordered two pupusas revueltas and one cheese. The cheese one did not have that authentic taste to it, it tasted more like mozzarella cheese,no loroco at all. The revueltas tasted better, had more flavor than the cheese. My grandma got the tamal de chipilin, but she said there was hardly any stuffing inside it and it lacked salt; flavor overall. I wasn't that satisfied to be honest, and possibly because they were busy as we waited, more people walked in. The horchata was on point (salvi version) and they are also known for their agua Fresca; the "ensalada" not sure if I would come back again. the food is amazing! i always order so many pupusas for my family and it is super inexpensive and the employees are always so nice.

Mom got the sopa de pata on Tuesday and threw up all night, has diarrhea, went to doctors and said she most likely got sick from eating the food because she was completely fine before eating that. Ambience is fine, but staff really needs to make sure they handle the food properly with correct temperature controls. Not being from El Salvador, I didn't know the difference. Took my food home & enjoyed it. Both styles were good. A little time goes by, but we are rewarded by the fare: pollo asado - generous chicken leg and thigh, grilled and moist, served with delicious refried beans, rice with veg and a raw slaw salad with cheese pupusas - con camarones, chorizo, loroco y jalapenos, pollo, chicharron y revueltas. Savory, filling, warm, comforting. Served with vinegary slaw and tomato salsa. Feels like your grandmother is cooking for you and it doesn't ever get any better than that. I manage to photograph the first few dishes but get lost in the pupusas and am gone to another dimension ... so sorry! Will try to get ample pics the next time. If you're really trying to get that Salvadoran flavor, not food that's Salvadoran but cooked by non-Salvadorans in the San Fernando Valley then this is the spot. Not hating at all cause I know folks that can cook all types of food, but, I always think the original creators of these foods have more inside knowledge as to how to make those flavors pop. The food is authentic, the horchata is Salvadoran horchata not hella sugar and powder lol this horchata has that rice dust with cinnamon in every sip. The service is cool, there is a wait cause the food is made fresh to order so don't plan on ordering and eating in the next 5-15 minutes, some items will come out before others but trust me it is worth the wait. Was craving some pupusas and found this lil gem set off in the wall. I ordered two cheese & jalapeño pupusas and two chicharon. They're generous in size and very delicious. The included slaw and salsa really had me dancing in the car. It's not really driver friendly packaging but once you arrive at your destination the food is great. I pulled off to the side of the road and went HAM. The my were both great choices but that chicharon was phenomenal. The salsa in a bag was highly inconvenient and the paper in between the pupusas got eaten just a bit but the flavor was great. They have a nice selection of authentic drinks as well.
