    Pupusa special
    Christian O.

If you're looking for an incredible local spot in the Valley, this little Salvadoran gem has to be on your list. Our team comes here for lunch all the time, and it never disappoints. The service is always fast, the portions are generous, and the food is consistently delicious. The owner is one of the friendliest people you'll ever meet--genuinely welcoming and clearly passionate about sharing authentic Salvadoran flavors. Their specials are always a great deal, and the pupusas? Easily some of the best you'll find anywhere. It's the kind of place that makes you want to support local businesses even more: cozy, flavorful, and run with heart. Definitely a cool spot everyone should check out. Highly recommend.

Honestly, amazing first experience. Service was nice. Food was made fresh and tasted authentic as it can get. Very clean too! Deserves to keep its good rating!

Definitely a hidden GEM and officially a favorite. I had been dying to try their pupusas because my friend kept posting on Instagram. This place did not disappoint. I came in hangry and greedy after being at the hospital with my mom. She had the Sopa de Pata. The consistency and flavor was on point! Hand made tortillas, flavorful rice. I had an Order of Plátano frito con queso y crema y frijoles. Delish. A pupusa revuelta - curtido and an order of Yucca Frita con Chicharrón maaaaan you don't even know. Just try it all! Kudos to these ladies for getting it right all around. Authentic. Delicious and service was Sweet!

Absolutely delicious pupusas and food! My husband got the breakfast and he loved it. Those were some of the best pupusas I've had. Can't wait to come back. The service was great and the restaurant was very clean. Parking was easy.

Pupusas and fried chicharrones with yuca! Very tasty!

This is my new favorite Salvadoran restaurant in LA. Everything is super authentic and the crema is perfection. Can't wait to come back.

I asked in Spanish for a cup of water and was told there was only bottled water. Yet I could see paper cups nearby. Initially I ordered a vegetable burrito from the young (14?) cashier. Language challenge pachencoed the question off her father and grandmother seated at the dining table in the kitchen! This music volume will be my earthly departure.... The father then conferred with two cooks in the kitchen returning a second time to me confirm beans - quac, pico de gallo etc. the abuela then asked to confirm no cheese - sin queso as l twice stated. It's against the law not to serve water in a cup if asked for right? There were no beans.... I returned to the counter: standby. The granddaughter, abuela and el chiefe conferred and agreed that I should get a side of frijoles. There's a reason I experienced this. Once I figure that out - I may have reincarnated. Overall the flavor was fresh and good - but ordering a vegetable burrito shouldn't require a committee.

I see it's this bean puree - perhaps it's regional - I was expecting the conventional refried bean in the burrito.

The anticipated vegetable burrito- missing the guacamole I asked for three times. It tastes good. Lots of rice.

About a month ago we went to eat there, and I ordered the mestizo, but the meat was so tough that my hand hurt just from trying to cut the meat, it was so tough to chew, and to me it seemed that the meat was boiled and just heat up on a pan, it was not grilled, it was pale. The casamiento (rice n beans) was super dry. We were the only ones there, that should have been a clue. Today we ordered 3 red chilaquiles with chorizo and eggs (they used to mix the chorizo with the scrambled eggs). The rice was so tough, it was not edible, it was undercooked, what we got were the scrapes that were probably stuck to the pan. The chorizo was not mixed with the eggs, they just placed a whole piece on top of the eggs, the eggs had zero salt. The orders were missing the crema and queso fresco like they used to. The chilaquiles were bitter because some of the tortilla chips were burned. They charged my husband $100 Just for 3 orders of chilaquiles. They charge $4.00 for the small piece of chorizo they add to the plates. So the total should had been $72.40 with tax. I noticed when I tried to replicate the order online that they automatically add a 15% tip. I am sure they do the same when you order in person for to go orders or dine in because their totals never matched my totals. My husband never asks for a receipt, so there was no way for me to double check, but today he told me how much he paid because he saw how upset I was with the scrapes they sent us. This was the last time we will give our business to this sorry a** place. I took a screenshot of how much our total should have been without a tip because our order was to go.

First sign to walk away should have been that you have to ring a doorbell to be let in, but whatever, we were already there with company and hungry, so no turning back at this point. The outside and inside of the restaurant is old and outdated, the tables are wobbly and the cherry on top is the cracked dishes. The lady taking the order does not speak a single word of English, so my fiancee translated "chilaquiles" for her. I felt very out of place. The food has 4 star prices with 2 star quality and presentation. If I'm going out to eat I'm not just looking for convenience, I'm also looking for taste and service. The drinks were great, I got the passion fruit juice, fiancee had a bottled Coke and bestie went with a horchata. I paid with card, and I typically decline the tip so I can leave that in cash, but somehow the register decided to add a tip anyway, luckily I noticed so I didn't leave an extra tip. If you don't speak Spanish, don't bother coming here. I would love to give them a try for other items, but sadly the breakfast experience left a bitter enough taste that I will not be returning here.
