    Torta de carne!

Great pupusas and tortas! Not my favorite curtido but definitely nowhere close to the worst. Speaking Spanish is a big bonus, but the waitstaff were patient with my Spanglish. Clean and filled with lots of murals and family art.

From the outside and location, you wouldn't expect much until you actually try their food. This place is a pupusa gem! Tried their jalapeño and cheese and pork and cheese pupusas for lunch today and their pupusas did not disappoint! Flavorful with a good amount of filling. Also, their curtido was really good as well. Their wall and to-go menus were a little confusing since not all pupusa options were listed. The in house menu had the options listed (with English translation). Pointing out they're only doing to-go orders due to the pandemic. Definitely will be back!

I went at 12:00 for my lunch break and there were 2 families eating.

A little hole in the wall treasure! A great authentic spot for Salvadorian food! It is not fancy so definitely not a date spot but great to pick up food or have lunch with a friend that appreciates real food! I ordered a small Tamarindo drink and 2 empanadas de platanos. I have not had these in forever and had no clue where to find them. Yum! Took 10 minutes to get the food. Not bad considering the food is fresh! No old food sitting around here! I'll definitely come by this place more often. Edit: I forgot to mention that their minimum credit/debit transaction is $10. I had no idea and they we're kind enough to let me use my card!

Today I went and the kitchen did our order wrong we ask for a batea de pollo and a Plato comal de carne, they bring us the opposite, we just switch the meat with my mom no big deal. But when I saw my steak it was dry and I turn it around and it was cold when I touched it we told the waitress and she seems with a attitude I let her know that they steak seems like it have been cooked long time ago since the side part looks so dry she insisted that she saw them cooked. I work in a restaurant trust me I can tell when a steak has been seating there and when is coming right out the grill. The waitress keep telling me the same thing and even say that she doesn't get mad which I didn't understand the comment in the conversation so then I told that it was fine I was just not going to have that that's when she decided to take it back and get me a new steak which was definitely cook at the moment and it was hot and juicy. She never check on us after dropping the food off she had an attitude just because i was not going to eat an old steak, she came to the table until my mom ask for the check. Really disappointed since is a place that my family and I visit often. Will definitely not return.

The corn flavor profile was so present and topped with the crema, it was chefs kiss. The tamarindo drink wasn't too sweet, a slight bit sour but it was very mild. It was interesting but tasty. I would absolutely order everything again, it was so good! There was quite a bit so it lasted for a few meals. I wish the red sauce had a bit more of a kick, it really didn't have a much of a presence to it. Overall, I definitely recommend!

I ordered three chicken and cheese pupusas, and they were a great size. I was nearly full after the first two. The flavor was on point. My apologies for my photo because I was already halfway through my third pupusa before I remembered to snap a picture. I also tried the corn tamale, which my wife and I enjoyed a lot. On top of that, I ordered a steak taco, which unfortunately didn't make it into a picture either because I ate it too fast. What stood out to me was the "shell." Instead of the usual flour or corn tortilla, it uses the same masa dough as the pupusa, and I really enjoyed that difference. We finished our meal with the nuegados en miel dulce, something I had never tried before. I was glad I did because it was delicious and a great way to end the meal. Overall, the food and experience were excellent. If you are like me and rely on Yelp reviews to decide where to eat, I highly recommend giving La Casita Pupuseria & Market a visit.
