Okay, I really wanted to like this place fron the reviews, but this place overall was just so underwhelming in flavor. The biggest pros to this place is the portions. The Pollo con tajadas was massive, tons of plantains and tons of pickled onions and curtido - but they were underseasoned. And sadly, the main star of the show, the chicken, was completely dry and not seasoned well at all. The tamal and the pupusas were the same. The chicken in there just SO dry. There wasn't enough cheese in the pupusas either too. The tamal was so underseasoned too, it was just overall not too great a meal and disappointing. Food got to us relatively fast, so that was nice. I love that the portions were huge but the food was just not good. Haven't stepped foot inside as we got this off doordash, but safe to say we will not be back. read more

I can't even fathom why a a restaurant would put food into a Styrofoam dish that is so hot that it melts the meat to the container itself. I'm so sad to realize that we picked up the meat and ate it before we even saw that it had melted Styrofoam stuck to it. My family frequents this restaurant for their pupusas. I've tried the chicharron con queso (favorite), revueltas, and de solo queso and all of them are delicious. Great tasting and decent portion size. The owner always greets us and they are all extremely nice. Feels like walking into a home kitchen with how the setting is in there. Highly recommend. I'm so happy to find a place to get yummy pupusas! They are a decent size, not too greasy, and are not stingy on the filling. The curtido had a great taste and was perfect for the pupusas. I had one revuelta and the other loroco with cheese. We also ordered the yucca frita with chicharrón. Everything had great taste! The poor waiter was the only one working but he still did a good job taking care of the full place. Yes the place is old and it's kind of rundown but it's clean and it didn't take away from enjoying our meal. read more

I used to eat pupusas regularly some years back, but I drifted away from them after a few ho-hum experiences. But after these, to quote Frank Costanza, "I'm back babyyy!" Pupusas here are delicious and filling, with the right ratio of masa to fillings. Sometimes places make the dough too thick, or get too thin with the fillings to save money. But not here. Make sure you get one with cheese, since they don't skimp and it's satisfyingly stretchy. The additional filling options also taste great. Refried beans are perfectly seasoned. Chicharrones with a tasty marinade. I was very impressed. And while they have recently increased the price 50 cents, they are still a good value at $3. Mind you, I've had some of the most critically acclaimed pupusas in the coutry, and these are right up there with the best. I've heard tale that the rest of their menu is also delicious, but so far I've only tried their $2 street tacos, available in asada or shrimp. Asada is cooked wonderfully here and piled high. With maximum flavor and the right touch of greasy goodness, it's easily one of the best asada tacos in town. The tortillas taste bagged, but honestly don't take away too much. Shrimp tacos were pretty good, with a spicy salsa on top. I'd prefer them with crema, and I bet they would add it if I ask next visit. The restaurant has its hole in the wall charm, I suppose, but the lack of AC in the summer makes it super hot inside. And parking is non-existent. But it's family owned and operated by the warmest and friendliest folks. They really care about their cooking and making customers happy. I highly recommend a stop in. read more

We got delivery to our airbnb and it arrived as we were pulling in which was great timing! The chicharron was AMAZING and the horchata was good but the carne asada didn't have much flavor. We ordered a pupusa with chicharron y queso but we received one with pollo y frijoles, tasted ok but they didn't give any curtido with the order. I also received a text after delivery saying "don't forget to tip, have a nice night" which I thought was odd considering all of the delivery fees I already paid through the restaurants site. If I was in the area again I would eat at the restaurant instead of delivery. read more

The food is not bad but the restaurant could use some improvements. We ordered the carne asada and a special plate (pictured). Everything was pretty tasty and we liked the salsa bar. The place was run down and the parking lot was sketchy. Everything needs a facelift. Also, plastic forks and knives are frustrating when trying to cut meat. They should provide actual flatware. The food here is amazing. The little $2 tacos are so dang good! You will definitely need like 5. Order some crema (even though it's like $3 for a teaspoon. But it's so good with the tacos. The pupusas really shine here. I've had the revueltas which was great. I thought the frijoles y queso was a bit salty for my liking. I also got an order of chicharonnes which was a huge portion. Meat was crispy and juicy. Also a TAD on the salty side for me. I would absolutely recommend. A small order goes a LONG way here. Lots of food! read more

Very happy to finally find a Pupusaria since I moved here. The guy working was so friendly & welcoming. I was so excited because pupusas are my jam, I have tried many many in several states & I can never get enough. These pupusas they served were the biggest I've ever seen! I'd say they were almost or about the size of the general round white restaurant plate. I couldn't believe it. I ordered the cheese & Loroco which is what I typically order at Pupusarias. They were quite greasy & not my favorites but otherwise not too bad. I was just happy to find some. The curtido was very good & they actually have a small little salad bar type situation where you can load up on salsa, peppers, Curtido of course & more. I really appreciated that because I always like extra Curtido. It was a clean nice little spot with good shaded parking in the back. I would maybe try it again but only after I try the other places I have found but have yet to try. read more

This place is amazing!! I'm visiting from out of town and I passed this place with my mom at around 8:50pm. We walked in with less than 10 mins left until close. I hate being that person so we asked if it was ok to order to go and they were so super nice and accommodating. Not only we're they so friendly, especially since we came in so late, the food was amazing!!! We got the bean & cheese, chicken & cheese, and jalapeño & cheese and a Jamaica. One of my favorite OKC eateries. The pupusas are so cozy - my favorites are the revuelta and loroco. They simply have a really strong bean filling recipe. The yucca fries are some of the creamiest yet crispy I've ever had. The chicharron has a great seasoning dusted on, though like most chicharron is fried until tough and dry. The empanadas were a surprise - I didn't expect them to be sweet plantains coating a milk dough filling and then rolled in sugar. Very tasty dessert/breakfast kind of food. The chicken tamales remind me of a homey chicken stew in tamale form. They're also ridiculously large. The corn tamales is like a tamale version of corn bread. It's also the fluffiest masa ever. And finally my favorite thing there - their pastelitos. The exterior is crunchy but not hard, maybe it achieves that nice crispy balance because it's potato based? The filling is a juicy adobo-flavored shredded chicken. The prices are such great value. So if you want a delicious, filling meal, this should be a go to. read more
