We used to come here back in 2019-2020 and they used to be really good. Unfortunately, they started adding potatoes to their pupusas. When I brought this up to them, they initially denied putting potatoes in them, and then the next time stated that that's the way they've always made them... I've never seen potatoes in pupusas prior to this. It was most likely a filler since cost, but they also raised the cost to almost double, and taste declined. 1/10 do not recommend. Never had Salvadoran food, but if this place is my introduction to it... I'm pretty sure I'm up for more now! A friend of mine recommended this place, and I've seen a few recipes of pupusas but never had them so I decided to try them before I tried my hand at making them. How do I describe these pupusas? They were like...these wonderful, corn based flat breads, with fillings of whatever your heart desires. I had the chicharron and queso (pork skin and cheese), and the queso and fajitas (cheese and beef). And ohmygod. So so good! My favorite was most definitely the queso and fajitas, but the chicharron had its own perk too. It also came with chips and queso, bean dip, salsa, and two different sauces. One was a hot sauce - which was terrific, not super spicy and hit the right flavor. And the other was tomato. Mix the queso and the hot sauce my friends - you will thank me later when the chip you eat is bathed in a glorious mix of the two. The pupusas also came along with this fermented cabbage relish which I found out was called curtido. And man. That relish...if I didn't stop myself I'd have heaps of it without a second thought. The elote tamales are sweet fried corny heaven, and the pupusas are giant and served with bottomless curtido (the lightly fermented crisp cabbage), which is good for me, because I like a LOT of curtido, okay? The aguas frescas (the homemade juice drinks) are delicious; I recommend the tamarind. The prices are incredibly reasonable, especially considering the quality and generous portions, and the vibe is always friendly and relaxed. But all of the pupusas were made with loroco when I specified with details. The lady in the kitchen presumptuous said that I didnt clarify. Friendly wait staff, good food service is a little slow. I would recommend eating here, the food is authentic outside of the the chips with queso that they offer you. The popusas are fresh and taste like the do in El Salvador. They have traditional Salvadoran drinks like enslada which are very refreshing. First off let me say this is the type of place you go to when you want something different but delicious. Salvadoran food is not the same as Mexican food. That's not to say it's not good it's just not your typical fajitas, burritos and enchiladas place. I went personally for the pupusas, which are like corn tortillas filled with anything you may choose be it beans and Queso, meat or chicken. (Not the same as a Gordita. Pupusas are not open they're completely closed and they seem to have Manteca that is lard in the masa and Gorditas don't. And when you cook them on a comal they have a crisp and soft bite.)They have a lot more to choose from I just can't recall now. If you don't know which one to try start with a simple bean and Queso it's simply tasty. They bring a type of salad/relish to accompany it and a couple salsas that have more of a taste than a spice which is still good. I had a dish their tonight which I can't remember exactly what it's called because I'm sorry my phone died so I couldn't take pictures for you or anything. It was fried chicken and rice with a side of lettuce, tomatoes and cucumber and a bowl of vegetables in chicken broth soup with a touch of mint and fresh made corn tortillas. I would know I make corn tortillas and this is about the only place that makes them fresh like that. I would have given this place 5 stars if it wasn't for a couple of important things. 1. There was one waitress there for 7 tables. I don't know but I've been here before and the last time they only had one waitress also. Now we probably waited for her to bring my husband his water for 20 minutes then waited another 7 for her to bring mine. She forgot my kids waters at which point I didn't care to ask anymore I just shared with them because the hubby was pretty annoyed. 2. She brought out the food at different times. My husband got 2 pupusas and waited until he was almost through with the second until she brought out the relish that comes with it. My little ones shared one pupusa. Then I received my plate which we ended up sharing because I was eating off of his in the beginning. He had ordered another plate which was the bananas fritos or fried plaintains and finally got that after 20 minutes of eating. If you want to eat there which again it's delicious, give them a chance by showing up before you're actually hungry because maybe fresh made food takes longer to cook. I'll give you that. But bring a bottled water just in case they still have one server on staff taking care of the whole restaurant and it takes 20 minutes just to get drinks. I wasn't starving so I kind of blew this all off but my husband was not at all pleased with the service. The food was great as it was last time. Once this week I even tried calling yet they never answered. That happened while we were there eating the phone just kept ringing but the poor girl was by herself she couldn't clone herself fast enough to help herself. Let's start with the good - the food was good, it wasn't anything spectacular but it was decent (full disclosure - I've never had Salvadoran food before so I had nothing to compare with). We had an appetizer and 2 meals. Mine was good, I think it was a little skimpy on the meat especially for a $14 plate but I got full with the help of chips and rice. My girlfriend liked hers but again, nothing spectacular. We had some of their flavored water with with fruit and it was really good. Now the bad - the atmosphere is 2 of 10 at best. It doesn't get any more plain than this. Reminded me of a cafeteria. And the worst part - the service. Words cannot express how bad it was. Horrible combination of attitude and ineptitude. Only one waitress and she didn't speak English so she brought a lady from the kitchen to translate. She brought us one water (I guess to share) after several times asking she brought us a second one about halfway through the meal. Our appetizer came out about 15 min after our meals were at the table. Our meals came out about 3-4 min apart (it was just 2 of us) so I just had to sit there and stare at my meal and empty water cup while we waited for my gf's meal. The waitress actually scoffed at me when I asked for a second basket of chips. Also, they don't clean tables at this place, place is so big so they keep sitting tables and leave the dirty ones dirty. Amazing. Clearly fresh and w little too hot salsa for this gringo. Pupusa was awesome. Wife got tamales. Bistec was amazing and the tortillas with it made the meal. Got a Pina agua fresca. Wife got one that I'm pretty sure was hibiscus. Waitress gave us some in small cups for tasting. tamarind, Mango, watermelon and cebada. All delicious. Deliciousness on a stick. I had my coconut palette dipped in dark chocolate and then rolled in salted chunks of salted cashews for only .25 cents extra!! And it rocked!! They even had a kiwi palletta!! Over 75 different pallets flavors and then you can have all types of extras added to the outside right befor you're served!! After passing by many times while driving down the road, the family and I decoded to stop in to try the pupusas. Even though the restaurant itself was empty I was pleased with how authentic it looked...it even smelled like fabuloso! We ordered our food to go. Since it was early in the day, there was only one other customer in the restaurant. The wait time was ridiculous! After begin walked to my seat, I sat by myself at the bar area for 10-15 minutes before anyone came over to start the order. The carne asda was... weird. I've never had Salvadorian food, but every carne asada I have ordered has been thin cut marinated beef - not a chunk of uncut, bland, rubbery meat. The pre-meal food, salsa and queso with chips were out-of-this-world amazing, which is the only reason I can rate this place two stars. read more

Extremely slow service even tho they were not busy at all. The food we were served was overcooked, dry and flavorless. I asked what type of fish it was and neither waitress could tell me.
