So today's service was the worst. The ladies are rude, they don't own up to their mistakes. Saying there's a sign that indicates to ask if you don't want loroco. I clearly stated only mines with loroco.. for the kids ONLY WITH QUESO CON FRIJOL. Why because kids don't like greens stuff on their pupusas. But all of the pupusas were made with loroco when I specified with details. The lady in the kitchen presumptuous said that I didnt clarify. Although on the ticket clearly only two out of 8 said L for Loroco. Customer service here is very bad now. Not like before were they use to be. They didn't want to honor what I came here for all the way from Lawton. They wanted to charge extra although the waitress made the mistake.

Made fresh while you wait wonderful Salvadoran food. I highly recommend this place. I had the grilled chicken dinner. My husband had the carne asada. My son has the shrimp soup. All delicious. Very friendly staff.

First off let me say this is the type of place you go to when you want something different but delicious. Salvadoran food is not the same as Mexican food. That's not to say it's not good it's just not your typical fajitas, burritos and enchiladas place. I went personally for the pupusas, which are like corn tortillas filled with anything you may choose be it beans and Queso, meat or chicken. (Not the same as a Gordita. Pupusas are not open they're completely closed and they seem to have Manteca that is lard in the masa and Gorditas don't. And when you cook them on a comal they have a crisp and soft bite.)They have a lot more to choose from I just can't recall now. If you don't know which one to try start with a simple bean and Queso it's simply tasty. They bring a type of salad/relish to accompany it and a couple salsas that have more of a taste than a spice which is still good. I had a dish their tonight which I can't remember exactly what it's called because I'm sorry my phone died so I couldn't take pictures for you or anything. It was fried chicken and rice with a side of lettuce, tomatoes and cucumber and a bowl of vegetables in chicken broth soup with a touch of mint and fresh made corn tortillas. I would know I make corn tortillas and this is about the only place that makes them fresh like that. I would have given this place 5 stars if it wasn't for a couple of important things. 1. There was one waitress there for 7 tables. I don't know but I've been here before and the last time they only had one waitress also. Now we probably waited for her to bring my husband his water for 20 minutes then waited another 7 for her to bring mine. She forgot my kids waters at which point I didn't care to ask anymore I just shared with them because the hubby was pretty annoyed. 2. She brought out the food at different times. My husband got 2 pupusas and waited until he was almost through with the second until she brought out the relish that comes with it. My little ones shared one pupusa. Then I received my plate which we ended up sharing because I was eating off of his in the beginning. He had ordered another plate which was the bananas fritos or fried plaintains and finally got that after 20 minutes of eating. If you want to eat there which again it's delicious, give them a chance by showing up before you're actually hungry because maybe fresh made food takes longer to cook. I'll give you that. But bring a bottled water just in case they still have one server on staff taking care of the whole restaurant and it takes 20 minutes just to get drinks. I wasn't starving so I kind of blew this all off but my husband was not at all pleased with the service. The food was great as it was last time. Once this week I even tried calling yet they never answered. That happened while we were there eating the phone just kept ringing but the poor girl was by herself she couldn't clone herself fast enough to help herself. It just seems this place needs to hire more people! That's why El buen gusto I can't give you 5 stars.

First of all if you decide to go Take a jacket! Its Alaska inside that place They have a lot of awesome Salvadorian drinks ! Like Cebada, Marañon, Ensalada and much more ! Obviously Horchata too. After you pick your drink READ THE MENU VERY CAREFULLY! We ordered 3 Pupusas Revueltas or Mix which is Beans,Cheese, Chicharron (Pork) And 3 With beans and cheese and 3 Just CHEESE They took 43 minutes to give is our food But THATS OK I mean we were so excited and looking at the other menu items that we didn't notice the time. When got our food the Mix pupusas had Loroco if you are Salvadorian YOU KNOW THAT LOROCO DOESNT COME IN THE MIX (REVUELTA) PUPUSAS Unless you order it. Im allergic to loroco so trust me I know. Then when I told the lady she took them back and gave back with them after 5 minutes saying that she couldn't change them and that we had to pay for the extra ones. The server got a really bad attitude after that and didnt check on us , our drinks or nothing. We had such HIGH EXPECTATIONS about this restaurant .

I tried all of their $1.50 street tacos, all heavy with meat, and a lil greasy in a good way. Aasada, al pastor, chicken, descada and chorizo. The latter two were my favorites -- stewed and off the chart flavorful. Al pastor was the next best, not as wet as some styles, and had good flavor. Chicken pulled, seasoned and pan crisped, tasty with their creamy green salsa. Carne asada was overflowing with meat, but it was a little grainy and were large round chunks, not like I'm used to. But it was super seasoned, on the salty side, still pretty tasty and super filling. I also had a very warm Champurrado, or Mexican hot chocolate. Great flavor, and perfect for a cold day. Cost was $2 served in a cute ceramic cup. Dining room is fairly clean, tables wiped, but the chairs are a bit stained and sticky. It is a bit of a hole in the wall, so expect very casual, fast casual counter service. Market has a lot of imported packaged goods, but they are priced a little high and thus sit on shelves a while. There is also another counter where they serve Mexican ice cream, popsicles and other snacks, along with a decently stocked panaderia case. I read some Google reviews, with comments about the two girls commonly working here and I think they're being targeted unfairly. Both were very friendly to us and helpful where they could be, but varied on their English ability. I was very impressed with the food so far, and I'll surely be back.
