Have to say I cannot fathom why people swear this is some sort of great place. It is average to below average TexMex. Ordered double chicken and double beef fajitas to go. I will say the steak was tender but the flavor lacked on both the steak and chicken. The onions and bell peppers were hardly cooked. The salsa is very average, as is the queso. The chips didn't have much salt. The rice and beans in two orders looked like they turned them sideways and they all slid to the side. For over $80 I expect better. I can buy fajita meat at the local Mexican market and make fajitas that are 100x better than this for so much less including all the fixins. read more

I've heard about Ted's for decades and I don't know why I just now got a chance to check it out. The food was pretty good - your basic, standard Tex-Mex. They provide chips, salsa and queso and house made tortillas and relish. I liked that there were some salad options and "healthier" items. It's pretty kid friendly too now that they even promoted a new pizza menu. Service was excellent. Our waitress checked on us often without hovering. read more

6/11/26 the lady at the pick up window for my order online was was aggressive and unprofessional. She slammed the door on me very hard even the hostest looked up. All I said to her I've been waiting on my order, even the lady making the tortillas walked away from me when I asked about my order. I was walking out to my car and the lady followed me, when I put my food in the car she was at the door, like what was she going to do? I went back inside and told the hostess I didn't appreciate the way I was treated, why did she follow me? Went here for some appetizers and drinks. Our server Alicia was amazing and made our experience great. The hot honey mango margarita was awesome and the chips/queso/salsa as "the setup" was so good. Came in with a party of 11. Was told it would be a 20 to 25 min wait. Came in with only 2 other parties of 2 each waiting and then several other parties came in after and they sat a 12 party and a 6 party before us. After 65 mins we called another place and they got us right in so we left. Also note to anyone they don't spray the hats for the birthday so if someone has lice or something you will get it more than likely. They actually took the hat and put it on two different people without disinfecting it. read more

After reading the reviews I had expected a higher end experience after reviewing the menu the fajitas seemed to be a house specialty so I ordered the beef fajitas. The fajitas were sieved in cast iron skillet were over cooked and had little taste. I did enjoy the fresh tortillas, chips and salsa were average. read more

Came in for dinner after an OU football game, so it was busy. But they offer online check-in before you arrive so our wait time was minimal. The service was quick and excellent, getting us the food right away. Ted's meals cost a bit more than you might expect for a Mexican restaurant but they include so many things in the cost that the value remains high (tortillas, sopapillas, salsa, queso, chips). Their fresh-made flour tortillas alone are worth a visit! I'll often buy some to take home to Florida with me at the end of a business trip. It's a favorite spot I keep coming back to! read more

We were seated quickly, with no wait, even though it was busy. The manager came to our table upon hearing that it was our first visit and brought us a complementary street corn and potatoes dish, which was great! We ordered the atomic salsa which came with chips and tortillas. The tortillas are made in house and were pillowy and soft. The atomic salsa had giant chunks of avocado in it. Very spicy! We were served regular salsa and queso in individual ramekins which was great! I ordered a michelada which came with a lime pulp rim on the glass. That was different and great. We ordered double combo steak and chicken fajitas which came with rice, beans, pico, sour cream and guacamole. These were all good. The waitress was patient with us as we were tired and distracted from a hard day. She brought our drinks and food very quickly. She came back to check on us quite a bit. We checked in for 3 people with the hostess. I gave her my number. I was told it would be a 30 minute wait. After waiting an hour, and watching several parties being seating before us I asked the hostess where we were on the wait line. She said she didn't know. Asked my name again and still didn't find it. She apologized and said she could seat us. When we came to the dining area there were several seats available to us. The dining area was completely empty. We could have been seated way before the hour we waited. The food was horrible. My husband got the steak fajitas and you could barely bite through the "steak". They also didn't provide the tortillas for the fajitas. My Husband ended up eating the toughest steak and onions the West of the Mississippi with no tortillas. I ordered the tamales which tasted like mint. I used to enjoy this establishment. Now I am completely disappointed. Chelinos is a better option for Mexican in OK. read more

I'd be a liar if I said I didn't care for the Ted's foods. They are above average Tex-Mex. Good, fresh, busy. They are always busy. That is good for them bad sometimes for those who want good Mex fast. Ted's is fast, no mistaking that. However, the wait may be more than you want. Not that long. Time goes quickly, but for the wait time and money. There are other great Mexican food restaurants around. read more

A great restaurant to add to our "regulars" list. More often than not these days you get stale chips when you sit down for Mexican or it costs extra for additional chips and dips. Not here! The chips were crispy and we highly enjoyed the extras you can say yes to. The atomic salsa was tasty and had a kick. The tortillas... loved them! (super soft) Our food came quick, it was delicious, not too much portion wise. I still took half for later, so it made for the perfect dinner time snack! They also give sopapillas at the end. Our server was wonderful, and we were seated right away. The salsa brought to the table looked like someone spit in it honestly. There was white bubbly stuff on one side of each cup of it that legit looked like spit. I wish I would have snapped a pic of it. So I didn't eat any salsa. I ordered the sheet pan nachos and they were massive, but the chicken was pretty dry, and there were a lot of chips without any toppings. And one tiny thing of sour cream and guac for that massive pan was a bit disappointing. I've definitely had better nachos elsewhere. Hubby enjoyed his taco salad, and they were willing to split the kids meal into two plates and I added a side so that was nice. Overall price isn't bad. Their complimentary tortillas are for sure the best part of the restaurant. Nice and thick, and warm. Very yummy. Not sure if I'll return, the salsa was really off putting and I was disappointed with the amount of chips missing toppings. read more

The setup is EVERYTHING. A meal by itself. There's usually bar seating available. It's a separate room off of the waiting area. The fresh tortillas and salsa are the best I've had in a restaurant.
