My partner and I came here for brunch. They tend to get a bit busy so I find it's best to go online to be waitlisted if needed. The service was relatively quick. We ordered the Simon Says with a side of Breakfast Poutine, Chicken & Waffle, Double Americano and Caramel Cappuccino. (a) Simon Says - Bacon, ham and sausage mix omelette with 3 cheese blend, lettuce, tomatoes, red onions and fine herb mayonnaise. It was served on a soft brioche bun. The fine herb mayonnaise created a creamy balance with the 3 cheese blend which complemented the bacon, ham and sausage mix omelette very well. The breakfast poutine is a must try. (b) Chicken & Waffle - Crispy Chicken Breast with BBQ sauce served with waffles and pur & simple potatoes. The chicken was crispy and seasoned well. The waffles were buttery and soft. Their pur & simple potatoes had a crispy crust which was great. I was quite disappointed with the portion as there was only one piece of chicken breast in this dish. The chicken was definitely not enough as I only got to eat with barely 1/2 of the serving of the waffles. It was 80% carbohydrates and 20% protein. Overall, the dishes were delicious. I've eaten here three times now and had the same thing (Raystavaganza skillet or whatever) each time with each of them being a different experience. The first time the poached eggs were cooked solid on the inside, the second time I was given three eggs because two were cooked solid, and the third time the eggs were PERFECT but they chef forgot to cook the vegetables..... It's close to being a really really good spot, because it is tasty... but these sort of constant errors are a huge problem. read more

We booked in advance for brunch and when we got there, we were received by one of the friendly waiting staff. Their menu has many options: benedicts, pancakes, crepes, French toasts, waffles, skillets, breakfast sandwiches, omelets, breakfast poutines, avocado toasts and kids menu. At the first glance, menu items seem a bit pricey, but they offer big portions. We ordered "Angus Benedict" and "Smooth Like Butter Waffle". We were in town for a family wedding and were coming here for a morning after breakfast so figured we would try it out the day before too as we aren't familiar with the area. We are so glad we did! The decor matches the name of the establishment, minimalist but felt clean and fresh while still warm and welcoming. Plenty of seating too, which is nice. The staff was extremely nice, accommodating, and attentive too (Shoutout to our waitress Rachel!). We had two kids in tow and this was a great place for families- high chairs are available and an awesome family bathroom with a changing table. We had a hard time deciding what to order as everything sounded so good. Sometimes places have TOO extensive of a menu and are all over the place that not everything is good, but the menu here is just large enough and we found that everything was delicious. The first time we visited my husband ordered a french toast option, I had a waffle and my daughter got the rainbow pancakes. The waffle was crisp and fluffy and was LOADED with strawberries and bananas and chocolate hazelnut sauce, and same with my husbands. They were so so good. My daughter is a picky eater but thought her pancakes were so fun and loved that there were chocolate chips in them. My husband had coffee and I ordered their seasonal cinnamon bun latte and a fresh squeezed orange juice. I was worried the latte would be too sweet, but it was very mild which was great. They have milk alternatives so I ordered oat milk in my latte, and it was so creamy. The second day my husband and I both ordered the garden skillet and we both really enjoyed that as well- crisp potatoes, delicious hollandaise sauce and perfectly cooked eggs and veggies. Not sure which meal we liked better, they were equally delicious! The prices were very reasonable, and the location was easy to get to with ample parking. We enjoyed it so much that my husband and I agreed that if we ever decide to move to Canada this would be our breakfast spot (and honestly when we visit our family it will probably still be our breakfast spot too lol). I had breskfast with a large group of 13 people at this restaurant. The last time I visited the Hamilton location, but this time the Burlington. Clean very efficient and polite staff. They were awesome. I had the French toast with raspberries and blue berries and some Divine cream topping. I didn't even need syrup. When I say this was the most divine French toast I have ever had ...,I have eaten a lot of French toast because I'm not 30 if you know what I mean. Loved it!!! read more

First brunch eaten in the new year, and was not disappointed. The atmosphere and ambient was what topped the charts for me. Simple, clean lines and warm colours added with the big windows as if we were bathing in sunlight (in a good way) was my favourite part of this restaurant. It's like a modern diner, but elevated. My boyfriend ordered the "Canadian" (two eggs, sausage, bacon, some fruit, toast, potatoes and he asked for the pancake) and I ordered the "Popular" (everything the same as the Canadian, just without a pancake). Our server was very kind and helped me switch my bacon to ham after my order was already sent to the kitchen. The food was good. It's what you'd expect with your classic brunch spot. There was no wait on New Year's Day. They had all the safety measures in place to make me feel safe dining out during the pandemic, and the staff was friendly. Service was excellent. The hostess greeted us with a big smile and our server was super nice and attentive. We were asked if we wanted coffee or water refills throughout the meal. The smoothie was delicious. The food was good. I ordered the avocado bacon toast with fresh fruit. The portions were large and the fruit bowl wasn't just melon! There was a mix of many different kinds (see my photo). When we received our bill, we got a mini packet of tic tacs which I thought was a great touch to end the meal. We dined in on a Sunday morning around 11am. Despite the restaurant being busy, we only waited for about 10 minutes for a socially distanced table. We ordered coffees, the Rizo skillet, and the Strawberry Shortcake plate. Both dishes arrived promptly and were pretty tasty -- but nothing particularly unique about the flavours. Portion sizes were reasonable. Prices were on the more expensive side. If you're looking for variety, consistent quality, and standard breakfast fare options, this would be a great place to visit! read more

With an egg-stensive menu, Pur & Simple is an Eastern Canada based chain that is sure to have something for everyone. While they are only open for breakfast and lunch, they cater to all kinds of dietary preferences. Menu options vary from Carole's Caramel Crepes or the red velvet pancakes to "Healthy Delights" such as a smoothie bowl or Keto plate (2 eggs with bacon, avocado topped with crumbled goat cheese, red & green peppers, and red onions - served with a side of seasonal berries and roasted pecans). Portions are huge, and the fruit is fresh, in the dishes that come with it. I really enjoyed the California 5 Egg Omelette, served with Bacon, caramelized apples and Swiss. However, if given the option, I would suggest upgrading from the traditional toast to the delightfully chewy Montreal style bagel. Just a note though, you can also get the Montreal style bagel as a serving vessel for their breakfast sandwiches. While I won't say the coffee was anything special, refills were generous. They've also got a decent selection of smoothies with an array of fresh fruit and juice or yogurt blends. Juices, including fresh squeezed OJ, or milk are available as well. As this location happens to be in a shopping center, parking is quite easy. While I wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to come, if you're in the area or looking for a large menu to satisfy a range of palates, Pur & Simple may be just the ticket. read more

It was hospital grade, weak. I've worked as a short order cook and I know what level this place's food was at. It's pathetic for the $15 charged for my meal. Tried this restaurant just yesterday with my family and friends. The atmosphere was nice and pleasant to be in and generally one of the later breakfast joints that stay open a bit later (excluding other all day breakfast hours). Our server was very friendly (forgot her name sorry!) but we came with our baby and offered cereal for him which we haven't had that offered before! The food was good tasting and good portion, although some of our orders wasn't 100% correct but wasn't anything that couldn't be fixed immediately. It's more on the pricey side of breakfast/brunch but overall still worth it. Can't wait to give it another try! read more

Got there at 11:58am Sunday April 28. Waited 30 minutes for a table. Not sure why, there were empty tables visible and they weren't reserved. I think the kitchen can't keep up with orders so they make customers wait. It took 43 minutes to get our food. My husbands spoon was dirty and when I asked for a new one, our waitress told me to just take one from the empty spot at our table, she didn't remove the dirty spoon. My husband's eggs were supposed to be over easy but they were cooked through. When the food did arrive, my husband was disappointed with his egg skillet. Wasn't like the picture in the menu at all, really missing the vegetables. My son and I enjoyed our crepes and waffles. Thirsty though, waitress didn't come around to fill my water. Loaded with bananas and strawberries, and chocolate and vanilla icing. As a gluten sensitive person i really appreciate it, that this branch of restaurants offers gluten free. I had the steak eggs Benedict and my companions had the big breakfast. Large portions, well presented, and great staff. I saw many other orders go through that we're amply as large. We decided to go for Brunch today. We were asked for our ID and vaccination receipts. We showed them to the hostess with no issues. However the QR code was not working. We told her that we tried and it wasnt working. She proceeded to snap at me and say move your phone and dont taclke a picture of it...I still didint say anything to her. Went in on a Wednesday morning with 8 people. Sat down almost immediately which was great. I ordered a latte and the smoothie bowl. When I got the latte I noticed it had been made with drip coffee not an espresso machine and they had simply added steamed milk to make it seem like it was a latte but I tried to let it go. Then when I received my smoothie bowl it was more like soup. The usual consistency for a smoothie bowl is thicker than an actual smoothie so that you can eat it with a spoon and that was not the case here. They were kind enough to remove it from my bill since it was not great quality. Avoid these items and you'll be fine, the other food ordered was delicious. read more

There were HQ staff in the kitchen trying to fix the disaster that was unfolding in the kitchen. Our server Brooke was lovely and she was embarrassed for the length waited. My first experience with this restaurant was via Uber. I ordered the 'Rays extravaganza skillet'. In the description it states that it comes with sausage, bacon and ham included. For a hefty $19.50, I found two very small slivers of sausage, ONE piece of bacon and 3-4 small pieces of ham. Not impressed and will not be ordering from this restaurant again.
