I came for their Friday the 13th event that they were throwing and I'm going to come here for every tattoo possible now. First, the studio is super super clean!! Honestly, one of the best studios that I've been to. There isn't super loud music playing that you have to basically yell to hear each other. Each artist cleans their station thoroughly after each session. They throw away any extra trash like the packaging that might be around. Not only does the front desk, Oliver, greet you and make conversation with you, but the artist also do too! Oliver is literally THE most patient person I have ever met at a tattoo shop. They'll ask you what tattoo you're getting so they can get an idea on how you want it to be, and ask you multiple times if it's okay. Even though I went for the event, they were still super professional even though they had worked 8+ hours. Maria is also the nicest, and she makes sue that you're comfortable and offers you water. She was so happy to see everyone coming to shop and encouraged everyone to not only follow the shop instagram page but also Oliver's artist page too!! You can definitely tell that she is proud to be part of the shop and of Oliver's work as an artist. I had met Fernando that did my boyfriends and I's tattoo. He was very professional, and despite working long hours and meeting so many people, he still made conversation with both of us throughout the session. I absolutely love my new tattoo and my boyfriend left giddy with both of his. Fernando gave us his opinion on where to place them, and showed us his work that he's done before. He specializes in realism and in black/grey tattoos, you can really tell this is his passion. We even met Chato, the owner of the shop too!! You can really tell that everyone that works there is proud to be part of it but also loved it there. The vibes overall were amazing, my boyfriend and I felt very welcomed to be there that we're thinking of going back soon for another one after our vacation next month. I forgot to mention that is latino owned and they have such amazing artwork throughout the studio made from different mediums like burned wood, acrylic on canvas, acrylic on shoes. 11/10 the experience here, I highly highly recommend people to come here!!!:) read more

I am so impressed by this tattoo studio! For starters, my friends and I were looking to get Friday The 13th flash tattoos and had intended on getting them from a tattoo shop nearby but they had turned us down because they were maxed out for the day. The shop suggested that we go to Pura Tinta instead which was across the street. Talk about divine intervention! Pura Tinta accommodated me and 5 others on one of the busiest days of the year to get tattooed & we walked out with amazing tattoos for only $60 each. They told us that we could get anything we wanted as long as it was the size of a credit card or less. What was unique about this shop is that in addition to the flash tattoos, we could give their artist, Oliver, a photo of a tattoo we wanted and he was able to sketch his own version of it to be tattooed onto us that day. The shop's vibe appeared to be very home-y, clean, and inviting. It's owned by a couple, Jose and Maria, who were so incredibly welcoming and stayed past 11 pm to finish our tattoos on once again, one of the busiest tattoo days of the year! Maria kept offering my group water and made sure we were taken care of. My friends and I are all so pleased with the service we received. If it was this amazing as a walk-in, I can't imagine what it would be like to design a tattoo with them prior. I am definitely coming back here! read more

Very toxic place, I wouldn't recommend working here. There's an expectation to be at the shop 24/7, and if you can't for valid reasons, the owners will talk behind your back. Meanwhile, they're not there full-time themselves, and items have gone missing from the shop. They also take a high percentage while expecting you to supply your own materials. Opportunities are limited, you'll rarely get walk-ins, and when there are any, the owner usually takes them. Overall, it feels misleading from the start and ends up being a waste of time. read more

A year ago I came to Chato for a re-work of a nine year old tattoo that I had never been quite satisfied with. I wanted it bigger and to better fit my body. I was an annoying opinionated customer, but he was patient and accommodating, though he wouldn't budge on a few items I wanted because he believed it wouldn't age well. Ultimately he gave me something I'm happy to have! We had two long sessions to complete it, and he wanted a 3rd small session to put in some highlights and really finesse the balance of it, but unfortunately for me circumstances beyond my control made it so I couldn't come back in. I have seen a ton of Nelly's work. I called Nelly for an appointment and she was nice enough to fit me into her schedule. Definitely make an appointment. The staff was friendly. Clean place. Very professional. Nelly herself took the time to listen to what I wanted and gave me her point of views of the piece. Thru the process she was nice enough to ask about the pain. And towards the end gave it a look over and said "something doesn't look right" Even thou I thought it was perfect. But she was right. Part of the lettering was darker in some places than in others. She mentioned she was picky about her work and I think that's great. All in all the experience was great. And I'd recommend not only the shop but this great artist.
