Secondly, doctor Emmett always and I mean always calls my wife and I back when we leave a message regarding medical attention for our son. Dr. Emmett gets right to the point and does have a unique way explaining things to you. Kind of like Dr. House, but for kids. I'm not saying he's better than the pediatrician you may have, but he is one that I trust and fully recommend to others.

Back in November of 2012, my daughter's pediatrician, Dr. Steven Emmett, refused to allow me to…read moremake an appointment because I had an outstanding balance of $16.40 for repeat lab work done in his office in February 2012. The doctor also decided to charge me a fine for not paying the $16.40 in a timely fashion so the balance had grew to $20 by November of 2012. Since my daughter's pediatrician had instructed his staff not to make an appointment for my daughter until I paid the outstanding balance, I asked to speak to her doctor regarding this matter. I explained to Dr. Emmett that I would pay the outstanding balance when I came in for the next appointment that I was trying to make. Dr. Emmett refused my request to pay the balance at the next visit and he said he would not see my daughter until I cleared my debt. At that point, I told the doctor I would be looking for a new pediatrician. I then wrote a letter to the physician's about his behavior and sent him a check for $40 which was twice the amount that I owed him and the doctor cashed the check. The doctor then sent me a letter in support of his behavior and issued a $20 check in December which I did not cash. On February 25, I contacted the doctor's office to fax my daughter's chart to her new pediatrician. On the consent form, the zip code of the new doctor's office was not noted. Two weeks later (March 14, 2013), I found out that the new pediatrician had not received my daughter's chart. Upon investigation, Dr. Emmett's office made an error when they mailed my daughter's complete medical records to the new pediatrician instead of faxing the chart as I had instructed them to do. The office used the wrong zip code which had not been listed on the release form and now my daughter's chart can not be found. Dr. Emmett's office said they got the wrong zip code from the new pediatrician's office. The chart has not been returned to the doctor's office (Dr. Emmett's office) although two weeks has past. Instead of taking responsibility for his office's mistake, the doctor has decided to charge me $20 for making a second copy of my daughter's chart. The office did not ask me to pay for the first copy but they think that I should pay for the second copy. When I called on Saturday to pick up my daughter's chart, the staff told me that the doctor said that I can not get my daughter's chart unless a return the un-cashed check for $20 which the doctor had issued to me in December 2012. In essence, by me returning the un-cashed check, the doctor would see this as payment for his office making a second copy of my daughter's misplaced medical records. Needless to say, I did not go to the doctor's office to get my daughter's chart. Not to mention, that the doctor did not apologize for losing my daughter's private medical records and he is now holding me financially responsible for his office's mistake. What kind of doctor would not see a patient for an outstanding balance of $16.40 after 14 years of providing pediatric services... a doctor who does not care about his patients? What kind of doctor would charge a patient for losing his/her medical records... a doctor who does not care about his patients or the privacy of his patients? The doctor does not seem to care that my daughter's medical records can not be found. One thing I know for sure is Dr. Emmett cares about his pocket!! When did medicine move from being about the patients and caring for sick people and people in need? God bless doctors who still care about patients and their well-being.

I had been in past treatment for what had been diagnosed as asthma since 2019 when I was a patient at the Lenox Hill Northwell Medicine Clinic at 178 East 85Th Street, 2nd floor. There I saw various internal medicine RESIDENTS who report to their attending physician supervisors, who put me on Albuterol, and Flovent. I decided to make an appointment with a pulmonologist at my wonderful hospital health care system, namely Lenox Hill Hospital of Northwell Health. Dr. David Posner MD was highly suggested to me and then I did my own research on his qualifications, reviews on multiple sites, Yelp, Healthgrades, Vitals, Google Reviews, etc. Hence, upon meeting Dr. Posner I was amazed at his kindness, bedside manner, and listening skills! I explained all, and he set me up for a lung challenge test among a few other tests, and low and behold, I NEVER HAD ASTHMA NOR COPD!!! Dr. Posner explained all in detail, took his time with me, and is one of the best medical doctors at Lenox Hill Hospital of Northwell Health and their pulmonary clinic on the 3rd floor of 178 East 85Th Street, New York, NY 10028. I was further treated with professionalism by the front desk staff, which is extremely important, and the clinic is beautiful. Dr. Posner will always continue to be my go to pulmonologist at Lenox Hill Hospital of Northwell Health in any future issues regarding any pulmonary issues or questions. He instructs you on your illness and if you follow direction you will get better. His staff is friendly, efficient and helpful. Whenever you enter the office you are greeted with a warm smile and courteous service. The bathroom and waiting room is always clean and clutter free. Plenty of magazines that are current and ready to be read. Appointments are needed but they do take walk-ins. His office is equipped to do many services. After I moved to the island I didn't want to change doctors because we have a great repore. So, I'm willing to take the trip to Brooklyn. I recommend him highly! If you have any internal issues he's the man. He accepts insurance plans and if course cash & personal checks.

No. Will I ever hear them play? Probably not. But I still consider it bad ass. He's so bad ass that he's known as the "Rock Doc." But, I digress... Dr. Wexelman's office is located in a house on gorgeous Ocean Parkway in Brooklyn, and his office staff is hilarious, helpful and friendly. Dr. Wexelman is thorough and most importantly, professional. Dr. Wexelman specializes in cardiology, but has been a fantastic primary physician. Any time that I've needed a prescription filled or basic medical advice, he has been more than happy to simply talk over the phone, as opposed to making me schlep all the way from SoHo to Ocean Parkway. I've heard plenty of physician horror stories in New York, but I've only had positive experiences with Dr. Wexelman. I first came to him in college after I had just been diagnosed with Endometriosis two years prior. He is compassionate and, unlike other doctors, he never questioned my pain or ailments. He always sought to get to the bottom of it and find ways to bring me long term comfort. He has preformed multiple of my laparoscopic surgeries and always makes sure I understand what is going on with my body. He is always furthering his education on Endo and women's health. Almost 6 years later (and 6 surgeries later) I won't see any other doctor. Are the office waits a little long: yes. Does that matter in the grand scheme of things? Absolutely not!
