Terminex Review…read more Where do I start? First, for those unaware, Terminex is no longer an American company. It was purchased by Rentokil in Great Britain. Secondly, the North American Region CEO, Brad Paulson, is such a poor manager, he won't publish the company's corporate address, corporate email, or corporate phone number. This says a lot about the company you are dealing with. Regarding our personal experience, Terminex sold us termite protection that we did not need (State of Alabama won a lawsuit regarding this), sold us rodent protection then failed to provide covered services on said contract, and billed us monthly for services they refused to do. Then add on to these legal fraudulent issues, they refused to show up for appointments with no explanation why, refused to return phone calls, and copped an attitude when we had the audacity to complain. Do your homework and checkout the exterminator completely before you contract with them. Terminex does not stand behind their product and the CEO does not stand behind the company he manages. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and I'm talking to an attorney about a class action lawsuit against them. With Terminex, buyer beware.

Well the tent doesn't go on until Friday at 4:00 p.m. but then oddly they show up Saturday morning promptly first thing and take it back off so when I was supposed to get tented for over 24 hours now I've only had my house tented for 16 hours. Then they want to start walking everything back "oh you only need 13 hours" even though the Vikane spec sheets say 18 hours minimum. They did not seem to care that they breach their contract they had nothing they were going to do as far as customer service and hand-waved everything. this would be Bob the saleman and his manager also Bob with terminix. Completely indifferent to the botched job and they we're happy to point out the waivers that were signed for all the damage to my property, instead of at least pretending like they care and trying to make it right. I was told that there were several dead bats in my attic, along with some other critters. He informed me that the dead bats had to be removed and the whole attic disinfected because of the health hazard that bat droppings pose to humans. I ended up doing the exclusion and sealing work myself but I wanted the areas that bats touched to be sanitized. Rats to Bats told me that there were no dead bats in my attic and that the soffit area cleanup was not necessary. It was not a health hazard because the guano would dry up and blow away on its own. That kind of honesty is truly refreshing and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for pest removal.

It started when we had a raccoon issue on our new property. A chubby little bandit decided to help himself to our freshly laid duck eggs--all six of them. Total gorge-fest. Needless to say, this did NOT go over well. So, I called Animal Rangers. This was on Thursday morning. The initial experience was great. The tech was lovely, arrived promptly, and set up a series of traps with a clear plan for the week: he'd check them on Friday, close them for the weekend, and then open them back up on Monday. However, things soon took a turn. Due to what I assume was a scheduling snafu, the traps weren't checked/closed on Friday as planned. I discovered on Saturday that a raccoon was in one of the traps, in the heat, with no access to water. As an animal lover, I was seeing red. I called the company and was NOT subtle about how upset I was. (I have no chill.) At that moment, I was certain this was going to be a one-star review situation. But this is where we enter Act 3. The owner of the company--whose name I don't remember because I was so frazzled--took this failure incredibly seriously. He didn't send an apologetic email or make excuses. He personally rushed over here on a Saturday to clear the trap, resolve the situation, and ensure the animal was handled properly. He was clearly moved by the mistake, prioritized the welfare of the animal, and even insisted on a full refund. I didn't care about the money. I cared about the raccoon (maybe a little too much!). Seeing the owner take that level of personal responsibility told me everything I need to know about the integrity of this business. Mistakes happen in any industry. It's not about never making them. It's about how you handle them when they happen. A leader this committed to his principles who shows up personally to make things right is very rare.
