Joey is our technician and always does a great job. He's very thorough and knowledgeable not to mention very professional and considerate. Their price is very reasonable for quarterly treatments and we love that they will come in between those quarterly visits to treat anything you may see included in that quarterly price. However, we do feel that because they do not work on the weekends that should be reflected on their website and Google. We also love to support local businesses like GPS and enjoy the local honey samples Joey brings us from their local partner BeeMade Honey out of Palm City. The website says they're open on weekends, but that's a lie. Had an emergency on a Saturday so I called and texted the service tech, and when he didn't respond, I called the office. No response there, either. Monday morning the owner called and berated me for calling and texting them over the weekend. Make sure you tell your pests to come during regular work hours - otherwise, you're on your own. read more

We ended up with carpenter ants coming into our home from various areas and we were unable to handle it ourselves. We reached out Green Pest Services and left a message, and I was pretty surprised to get a call back soon after from the owner Shane. He was super nice, understood all our concerns, went over pricing and coverage, and had us on the schedule within a day or so. Working with Joey the technician has been really wonderful. He did our initial treatment inside and out, making sure to cover all of our areas of concern. He also walked the property with me to make sure we had our fire ant / carpenter ant areas covered, as the treatment covers a quarter acre and being a bit over, he wanted to same sure the treatment covered the areas where we see the most activity. He constructed a map and noted the areas to make sure we were covered in the event he wasn't the technician who would service the lawn the following year. We were a bit skeptical (being on our 5th pest control company) that the indoor / perimeter treatment would last 90 days and that the carpenter ants that had randomly infiltrated our home would full resolve - But it did, and we've been pest free since! A few months after the initial treatment, as I made note on my calendar to reach out at the 90 day mark, Joey beat me to it and had me on the schedule the next day! This has now happened for all of our service appointments! I made a note to reach out, and Joey beats me to it. This time we had to reschedule and he said he would let the office know. And as I made note a week later to followup, the next day I heard from Joey. It's pretty remarkable to find anyone these days that actually follows up. And Joey is just about the nicest guy who goes above and beyond to make sure he does a thorough job. We also have an accumulation of Trashline Orbweaver spiderwebs all over the inside of our screened in patio and Joey really takes his time to make sure he sweeps every inch of the screen - Including using the insecticidal dust to keep the spiders away. Truly impressed with Joey's work and thoroughness, as well as his kind demeanor and respect of our home and property, which is so rare these days! We met Greens Pest at our rental unit and were quite clear as to the severe infestation. He accepted the job w/guarantee that he would treat until the bugs were gone. I texted him during his posted hours and he responded with the rudest comment. If he doesn't want to be disturbed on the weekend, he shouldn't post on the internet, that his hours of operation as being "open." I understand that having to go back to a customer repeatedly can be frustrating, but if you guarantee the job and it becomes a daunting task, being rude to the customer is not the way to go. I have attached photo's of his hours from the internet and his response after texting him Sunday, at 11:14 am, during his "open" hours. And my text wasn't to ask for service that day, just a request to fit me in sometime the following week. Just in case the photo's don't load properly: My text to him: "You're probably cringing the same as I am sending this but we were at the condo yesterday, still killing live ones..not babies but larger ones. Although there were many dead ones, we're afraid to put appliances and new carpeting for fear the few that are left will multiply. Any day next week you could come by and try again? His RUDE response: "Text me this again during something resembling normal business hours and I'll be happy to put you on the schedule. I'll get back to enjoying my Sunday with my family now. Thanks." His posted hours of operation: Sunday : 9AM - 4PM Monday through Saturday : 7AM - 6PM I will add that he did come and treat the unit, but will NEVER use this company again when they think it's acceptable to speak to a customer like that. He needs an answering service if he doesn't want to be bothered by customers. read more

I am not a review writer unless the service calls for it and since I found Shane and GPS (Green Pest Services) on Yelp then I wanted to share my experience. First if you want to give back to the community it is always nice to do this with a local business which GPS is. He is personally doing my yard and has found an assistant who is very very thorough as well. Secondly if you are a dog lover or pet owner then Shane with GPS is the answer as he also has a dog and so would never put anything down that would harm our furry friends. Thirdly he is very reasonable and never asks for a contract but if you know your schedule you might want to get him to come over on a tri-weekly or monthly basis. I usually have him come over after the grass is cut if I can and he is always quick to answer my inquiries. In addition to this he is not only professional & friendly but also very knowledgeable in his field. What I find the most impressive is that he is a young man with a skill who is putting it to good use and becoming an entrepreneur with great marketing skills, a quality product along with a professional service to back this up. It was something my generation did so it is nice to see some people in the following generation doing the same thing. I would highly recommend him for any lawn/pest problems you might have. I have 2 schnauzers so I am very happy that Shane uses "Pet Friendly" products and finally that he is not ever trying to sell you something if you don't need it. I appreciate that he takes the time to make sure you understand exactly where the source of the problem is, how he is taking action and what to expect in the coming days. Although I am a new customer, I cannot say enough good things about Green Pest Services. My husband and I have been fighting a never-ending battle with ants and despite trying to control them with home pest products (liquid baits, chemical sprays, etc) and several commercial companies without success, it was an ongoing problem that seemed to triple with the rainy weather over this last year. I was at wits end, after having a very negative and costly experience with a large, well known pest and termite control corporation, as well as previously receiving substandard service from two local companies who treated my premises me on a monthly basis (and did not solve my ant infestation, etc.).
