Dallas has no shortage of gyms, but when you're choosing the one -- the one you'll see more than…read moreyour own reflection -- it has to feel right. I'd been hearing whispers (the good kind) about working out in infrared light, so naturally I had to investigate. This studio offers a free first class, which is honestly the chicest way to commit-curious a new gym. Low risk, high glow potential. Here's what you should know: the concept is interesting -- but not super clear online. They have around eight private infrared rooms, and classes rotate every 15-30 minutes depending on the format (most run about 30-45 minutes). On weekends especially, sessions are consistently cycling through. You can book a specific class, but there's also flexibility built in. If you're there and space allows, you can jump into a different session or pivot your workout. It's structured... but with options. Very choose-your-own-fitness-adventure. Confession: I arrived early (as one does for a first class), and the doors weren't open yet because we were technically late for that session. Slightly confusing at first -- but once inside, it made more sense how the rotations work. A clearer explanation online would've saved a little guesswork. The workout itself? A solid, full-body intensity without being punishing. I hadn't worked out consistently in a while, so I wanted something effective but not soul-crushing. This delivered. You definitely feel it, but in a "see you again tomorrow" way. What I loved: * 24-hour access (major bonus for unpredictable schedules) * Super clean, modern space * Easy parking (underrated luxury in Dallas) * Friendly, welcoming staff * Great value for the price They also offer branded workout apparel (think training capris, etc.), which is cute but not required. My only hesitation? Motivation and in-person energy. Because of the semi-private infrared room setup, it's less of that high-five-the-room group vibe and more self-directed. If you thrive on heavy social interaction, that's something to consider. If you like autonomy with structure, you'll love it. Overall, it's a really strong option -- especially if infrared training has been on your radar. Clean, flexible, effective, and open 24/7? That's a compelling Dallas fitness situation. Would I go back? Very possibly. My muscles are still deciding.

After grabbing some weights and equipment for the class, I got started. I liked the blend of yoga, bar and aerobic exercises, and more tension-based exercises with the core. Keeps things more interesting with the variety of movements. I had a substitute instructor who was overall great and very encouraging. She really pushed us because she would often count down for some exercises which would make me think we would be done after that, but then she would lead us right into another exercise using the same muscles so you wouldn't get a break! Overall a great opportunity to be challenged with a full body workout! I would definitely go back if price wasn't a barrier for me personally. Membership prices range from $90/month for 4 classes a month to $160/month (unlimited classes.

I've made so many new friendships and let's be honest.. it's hard to make new friends as an adult. It's my place of choice to go to relieve stress, to focus on getting stronger and to just breathe. I would say the biggest impact it's had on my life is I was able to work out during and after my two pregnancies. I simply modified each move to make it possible for my body. I'm still learning to listen to my body but I've made so much progress thanks to the Barre code Plano! -Debbie Wei

Your first free class will cost you money whether it ends up with you contracting a STAPH INFECTION AND OR TOENAIL FUNGUS AND dealing with the worst managing partner EVER Danae Skiba. You'll be fighting to get your autopay back when she won't refund your money. They wouldn't return my phone calls and then when Danae left a VM, she told me to never return to the studio that I made her staff uncomfortable. LAUGHABLE. And please don't put yourself in a situation where major HEALTH CODE VIOLATIONS are lingering waiting to disrupt your health in the way a STAPH INFECTION does. All the phenomenal instructors left the studio because they are being treated with the utmost disrespect. I decided to try something new and saw this location has a bootcamp class, so Registered for it. The location is BEAUTIFUL! very upscale, modern, cool, clean! Top notch for sure. The class was packed! We were instructed to get different equipment. The instructor was excited, energetic, and motivating! The music was good, and loud. My issue with everything was that it was a "sweat" Class so the temperature was at 92, cool, I'm ok with that, i take plenty of bikram/hot yoga classes. But what i found myself doing was using my smaller weights to do the exercise to prevent me from passing out. Lol. I wanted to use heavy weights but couldn't. There were a few times where i was like " Yeah, you are about to pass out". The other issue i had was, because it was so hot, i was sweating hardcore, that it made it hard to even lift the weights because it became slippery. I was trying really hard to keep them in my hands but they slipped out many times. I understand that the heat is for cardiovascular health, which was fine. Overall, i don't think i got a good workout for me personally. I decreased my weight usage and felt like I was sweating from the heat not from the actual exercise. I will stick to running at white rock lake and lifting weights at my home gym.
