The trainers not only push and inspire you, they actually care as well. They check in, lift you up, and still push you to do more. I love that they don't force you to lift or jump like a stronger athlete, instead they show modifications but help push you to work to be stronger, etc. I was struggling mentally and physically from menopause and I recently participated in the 6 week challenge and lost 10 pounds and have gained back my happy positive energy. I've been able to sleep better, lose weight, slowly lift more and build muscle all while surrounding myself with AMAZING people and be part the 5am crew.. Blake and his staff from day one have made me feel like I've been there for years. Glenn is top notch and gives us positive soul energy each week and makes it FUN! Jessie's leg days & encouragement are a no miss for me! AK is FAB whether she's weighing us, kicking our butts in training or checking in with positive affirmations just to name a few. Then there's Blake with his awesome warmups and words of encouragement before he makes us put in the work! The Camp Transformation Farmers Branch is INFECTIOUS in all the right ways!!! Great products as well. ** my only con is not having a front desk person during all classes and classes starting late due to scheduling ** Thank you for helping me find myself again

I am so glad that a friend introduced me to this place 7 months ago. I had originall done 2 challenges and left the gym. I was looking for something that was farther north. The drive, I realize now more than ever - is worth it. When you have the opportunity to grow, feel better, look better, and you gain a ton of friends out of the positive situation then it is worth the time and money. Health is wealth right? Big shout to the amazing staff that works I'm the facility, all the coordinators and front desk staff make this place a well-oiled machine. The coaches, Phil, Soren, O, and Ashley, all have different coaching styles. They really care about your well-being, they watch out for you, and they do not BS. If you want to make a difference in your life and lose weight along the way then this is your team. Ashley, is the head of this place - she is knowledgeable, encouraging, and steadfast. She will help you with any concerns/questions you may have and makes you feel comfortable. This camp has given me more than I expected- a fantastic Facebook community, a supportive gym friend group, and strength that goes beyond just the physical capacity! If you like structure and consistency in your yoga classes, then you'll like Gaia. I first…read morediscovered them on ClassPass, but I stopped doing CP and going to Gaia directly. My favorite class is Still Water (yin yoga) which is focused on holding single poses for a longer duration. I also like the other two beginner classes, Gentle Waves and Dessert, although I honestly can't discern between the two. Classes typically start with a warm up of some kind (core work in the normal classes) followed by a short 5 minute group discussion. I'll admit the first time I can to Gaia this part was WEIRD. But it has grown on me, I like hearing the "good news" from other people in the class - it gives a sense of community. They also do a short spiritual on the yamas & niyamas. It's nothing weird, I often do find that the instructors give me something new to consider. That's followed by another 40mins or so of practice. During the final minutes of practice, the instructor massages your shoulders and neck with an energizing lotion. I'll admit that I find it a little gross, but I still enjoy it. I mostly feel bad for the instructors. Other things I like: early morning practices, yoga mats and blocks available, room is kept warm (not hot!), and easy parking. My only gripe is that practices don't always end on time. Combine that with having to arrive early (late yogis have to shamefully tap on the glass to get the instructor to let them in!), a one hour yoga class can quickly turn into a 2 hour affair. I've been loving my at-home practice but when I need something more I'll still be coming here and nowhere else.

I attended a vision board workshop led by Destiny W. recently, and it was amazing! The workshop…read moreconsisted of a yoga series/flow, an opportunity to create a personal vision board, and then yoga nidra to complete the workshop. I will address each portion. Attendance: The workshop was well attended, but there was still space so I did not feel like I was too close to another person. I did not know other participants, but had met the woman leading the workshop (Destiny W). I felt welcomed into the space (so it was not weird if you showed up without a group of friends). Vision Board Workshop: I have never done a vision board before, and I am not a person who normally shares alot, so this was out of my comfort zone. I figured I would try it as a "new year, new focus situation." I am also not very creative/artsy. There was no pressure to share, but people could if they wanted. There were more than enough supplies (and there were cool supplies, too), so there was more than enough for the exceptionally creative and those who needed assistance in sorting their thoughts. Destiny (she led the workshop) walked around and chatted with each person but the conversations were not loud or intrusive so people could be present in the space and also focus on their own thoughts. Yoga Portion of the Workshop: I have practiced yoga before, and even at the old Samatone location (before it was purchased and relocated). I have not practiced in a session led by Destiny W. so that was new. I have also not practiced yoga in a couple of years (life got in the way), so I was not particularly flexible coming into this session. Destiny is a very thorough and calming presence in the studio. Some teachers talk too much, but she does not. There was enough direction to follow coherently, and the way that Destiny described yoga poses/steps made sense to me. It was not all explained in yoga words (some of which I do not know/understand), and there was time to actually do the pose (some teachers move quickly and I feel like I am sprinting to get from a down dog to a warrior). It was very obvious that she had given thought to which poses we were going to do, and in what order. This was not slapped together, and I appreciated that flow. Because this was a workshop, we completed certain yoga series/poses and then took a moment to respond to guided questions to help create our vision boards. There was enough time to do the pose, stop, and then write down a couple of words to help us when we got to the vision board portion. If we would not have done this part, I am not sure I would have been able to put a thought together coherently. The yoga definitely centered my thoughts to what I was supposed to be doing. The music was good. It was more animated during the vision board portion (which was good), and the background sound/music during yoga was neither too loud nor overpowering. I was still able to hear what was going on and also not hear the "extra" sounds of other people in the room. Yoga Nidra: Um, wow. I love yoga nidra. If you have not experienced this type of yoga, you are missing out. I think we might have done 5-10 minutes of yoga nidra at the end, but I also am unsure because I checked out for at least half of it. It was a very nice way to end the workshop. Studio space: The studio is very clean, bright/welcoming, and organized. It was easy to check in, sign the waiver, and find a space in the studio for my mat. There are more than enough cubbies/storage for bags, shoes, etc., and the facilities (bathrooms) are clean. The studio smells nice, or does not smell like a bunch of people sweat regularly in there or like feet. In between the workshop and the next class, the owner and Destiny were cleaning and making sure the room was ready for the next group. The studio owner (Rhonda, I think) was there and very nice/welcoming. Some studios have a clique vibe, but this place does not. There was a bit of everyone in this studio, so it is an inclusive place. That is nice. I would return for regular yoga, or for more workshops.
