I took a class with Maddy V- she was amazing!! The other staff were very welcoming and helped me get aquatinted with the studio. This was my first workout in awhile and it was a wonderful experience. From the playlist, to Maddy's upbeat & encouraging energy, and helping me correct my movements when they were a bit off... Definitely recommend Pure Barre, and for beginners Maddy is a great instructor!

I started coming to this studio off and on since Aug 2020. They certainly make it difficult for you to cancel your membership. This last Jan 2023, I made it clear that I only wanted a 3-month commitment. By the second month, I notified Ally via email that I'll need to pause and she said there is a $25 charge to freeze my account. Fine. I finished my 3 month commitment. I haven't gone back since Feb 2023. Auto payment continued to be taken out of my bank account and the last charge was July 12th. I sent an email July 15th to cancel my auto-payment, got a response from Ally July 17th stating I need to sign a cancellation notification electronically. Then proceeded to tell me that my account will be charged again for one more month since they require a full 30-day cancellation. I am not on contract, I am on a month-to-month basis. Be warned. This studio is all about $$$ rather than preserving a good relationship with you.

I love love love Pure Barre. I typically visit the Redmond location because it's near my work, but I decided to venture out and visit the Bellevue location. Pure Barre Bellevue is located in the Elements building off of 112th. It's in the building right next to Lunchbox Laboratory. It's a little smaller than the Redmond location. There's only one dressing room, and the restroom is shared with the other vendors, so you'll have to exit Pure Barre, go downstairs, and enter in the bathroom code to access it (but it's a lovely restroom). There's lots of merchandise for sale, water bottles, a bench, and lockers where you create your own passcode. The class has the same setup as the other Barre locations and props. I actually like the bar itself in the room better than the Redmond one. Next time I go to the Redmond location, I'll have to compare the feel, but the Bellevue bar felt a lot smoother. The room seems a little smaller, which could be because there isn't natural light--except through the front door. I'll probably visit this location again if I find myself closer to it than Redmond. Sami is the owner, and she's great. If you're thinking about trying a class, I'd highly recommend signing up for your first one with her. All the other instructors are great too, though!

Barre barre! Barre is the word!!! How fun is pure barre?!! Pretty darn fun!! I've done barre3, bar method, daily bar, fly barre and pure barre! I still do them all. But pure barre is my absolutely favorite. And mainly for one teacher: Hannah!! Pros: this building is cool with parking and all!! They also have water bottles here for you. But it's on a smaller side. No bathrooms in the barre itself but you can walk to the building and go downstairs. They do have a changing room though. Class: I love Hannah's classes. I usually come for lunch time aka the nooners class and it is almost always full. And fun! Not to mention challenging! Just when you think you got it all, you don't! She add new stuffs! Ab days are crazy fun! I love it! You come, you move to the crazy hip hop beats, you shake, you sweat, you die! And you leave happy!! The energy in the class can lift you up even on an 18 degrees day filled with snow and rain!! Afterwards: head next door to French bakery for some pastries! Cause why not!!! :))

My friend and I decided to give it a shot at Club Pilates as they have a studio in Bellevue. For starters, we signed up for a free trial class ahead of time online. We were told that we need to bring grip socks, which is required, otherwise we'd have to pay for grip socks at the studio. In addition to grip socks, they also sell a lot of different apparel and accessories at the studio. The free trial class is not a full class. It's a preview of different movements that a class may conduct. You do get to use the reformer machine, which was interesting as this was a first for me. The class was half an hour and the instructor walks around and teaches you how to use the machine and goes over the different movements. My friend and I felt like since this wasn't a full class, we didn't get much of an experience of what to expect at a pilates class. Therefore, we mentioned this to the staff when they tried to sell us a membership after our free trial. So then they offered us to take a full class for free, which we scheduled a week later. The full class was not much different of an experience though. The instructor yelled out the different movements to do, but didn't demonstrate what they were, so we had to watch what others in the class were doing. Then when the class ended, we were surprised, as we didn't get much of a workout. This is the first time I participated in a fitness class and didn't sweat or needed to take off my outer layer. It was very low energy. Depending on what you're looking for, pilates may be for you. But it isn't for me, especially given how expensive it is. I found it to be boring and not challenging. I can see why this kind of workout may be good for those with injuries or who may want more of a stretch - and in that case, Club Pilates in Bellevue has a nice studio for just that. The studio is clean and has a parking lot outside of the building. Just note that there only a certain number of reformer machines, so classes do fill up quickly.

I struggled with self-motivation, did not feel confident as I fumbled around a gym, and struggled with chronic pain due to several car accidents and demanding athletic activity throughout childhood. Walking through the doors of this Barre3 studio changed all of this for me. I was hooked before I'd completed my first class! Not only are the workouts challenging and dynamic, I find myself experiencing an exponential boost in confidence and competence regarding mobility, breath, and functional strength. Prior to Barre3, I was unable to successfully use my postural muscles effectively, due to long term injury. After 6 months of Barre3 workouts, my chiropractor recently shared that my posture is improving greatly! What truly sets Barre3 Kirkland apart from other fitness studios is the strong sense of community that exists within the space. Owners, Elizabeth and Hannah, along with their wonderful team, create an atmosphere that is welcoming, inclusive, and safe for people to move, grow, challenge themselves, and be vulnerable throughout the process. Their intentional efforts to authentically engage and build relationships with participants fosters an atmosphere that that feels unlike any other fitness environment. I genuinely feel like I am loved and cared for by staff and other studio members--what a gift. This place is truly special. If you're looking for a studio that feels like home, this is the place for you.

I saw this location super close to Downtown Kirkland and had to try it out! Parking was available for street, there are free two hour options or you can park at the Library. I decided to take Signature 45 with Bo, had no idea what I was getting myself into, I was just excited to get into the class. Bo was FANTASTIC, amazing instructor and so funny! He pulled out the funniest jokes and I really loved his attitude, he also would go to certain people and help their structure and position more better, I really enjoyed this just to help you learn better. The owner was kind as well. The place itself was a bit small, it was just one class, one studio at a time, bathroom is only one and there is not a shower there. Not too sure if I missed it. Overall, great class and they gave me a small "welcome" gift which was some energy mixer and about their membership.

I have gone to countless different gyms and boutique fitness businesses but this one hit a little differently. Maybe the extra light in the studio helps, maybe it is their fantastic staff - from the door to the floor - but it all made me happy and feel more content with my day once I went. Its been a little minute since I've been, but just wanted to randomly drop by this review in case anyone has been wondering whether to check it out or not. The instructors are amazing and so bada**, I wish I could have their endurance to talk and workout so hard at the same time! Having tried many other classes, no one has beaten my experience with them because they are so in tune with their clients and knowledgeable in helping you find the adjustments you need if you want them, which other places lack. It all helped me strengthen things I didn't know I needed to strengthen. Keep it up, Barre3 Issy. (And take a class with Trina if she's still there - she'll kick your booty.)

This class challenged me to work on muscle groups outside of my normal CrossFit WODS. The class started with an introduction to the equipments, and class expectations. Barre3 is a combination of ballet, yoga, Pilates, dance, and functional training. The workout is done barefoot. We completed some stretching movements as a warm up to our hour long rou. The soundtrack slowly sped up in tempo signaling the transition to more challenging movements. This was a full body workout. The moves included slight modifications depending on personal dexterity and fitness level. The entire workout centered on engaging the muscles while slightly shifting positions. What I liked about the experience was the dynamics of class. It invoked a feeling of community and a sense belonging. The instructor was encouraging and the music selection was perfect. I'll definitely look into incorporating more of Barre3 into my workout. This location was clean and organized. There is available lot and street parking. I would absolutely recommend this workout to anyone looking to change up their routine.
