I have a whole new appreciation for ballerinas. Seriously! I had taken a few barre classes here and there last year but just recently started going on a regular basis since I purchased an unlimited monthly package. I am a true to form cardio gal and am used to more fast paced, dance fitness classes (ahem, Jazzercise!) but this workout seriously has kicked my butt!!! I am intrigued by the whole Lift, Tuck, Burn phenomenon! First of all, I recommend downloading the Pure Barre app to your phone. It makes things soo easy. You can check out the schedule and sign up for classes (a requirement) . They don't allow you to show up without signing up beforehand. You can also cancel but be forewarned that this can only be done up to 2 hrs before class. If you wait any closer, you have to pay a cancellation fee of $15! Crazy!! Another must- Pure Barre grippy socks are required for class. You don't have to buy the PB ones - just make sure you have socks that cover your entire feet and have the little sticky grips on the bottom. They make a world of difference . I would also bring a bottle of water to class because you WILL be working up a sweat. Upon arrival, check in at the desk and then store your personal items in the little cubbies that are provided to you. You will need a ball, set of weights and a hand tube. If the class is full, the employees usually set up the studio prior to clients arriving . In a nutshell, the class is 55 minutes of intense muscle burn! Oh, and some leg shakes too. Can't forget about those shakes! The mental focus and discipline to perfect the techniques are mind boggling. I'm totally not there yet but noticed others who are. I do like that the instructors walk around and will correct your form . I never take offense and actually welcome it. There is no point in doing the class if your form is wrong and ineffective. I would say the classes really help to lengthen and tone your limbs and have been told you can see results in 10 classes. Just prepare for intense soreness well after class. A good sore! There is also a small boutique of high end workout clothing in the lobby of the studio...make sure to follow them on social media. From time to time they will offer specialty classes focused on certain techniques used in class. The intro to Barre class is one I highly recommend since going to Barre for the first time is a little overwhelming. The intro class will help explain and ease you in slow.

Lift- tone- burn!!! Regardless if you are a fan of the barre technique, the facilities and instructors get a 5 star rating. This location has a super cute entrance area with a small selection of high end barre clothing including shirts, leggings, socks and exclusive pure barre brand water bottles, bumper stickers, etc. They also have a small curtained dressing room up front. The front desk is always manned by a super friendly secretary or the owner herself, Jordan, and they are ready to answer any and all questions you have! Through a set of french doors is the small prep area where they have benches, cubby holes for your purses, shoes and the class equipment neatly stacked and ready to go. The studio is small compared to giant chain gym classes but reminds me of a traditional ballet studio that's carpeted. They cap the classes at 18 but I have had as little as 4 and as many as 10 in my classes so far and there is always plenty of room. One wall is completely mirrored and a ballet barre lines each long wall. It is amazingly air conditioned (but you'll still work up a sweat) and they have a great sound system and wireless headphone for the instructor. Behind the studio is the bathroom area which is cute, clean and stocked with complimentary perfume and various feminine items. They also have a state of the art water fountain that is designed to fill water bottles. The actual classes last 55 minutes and start and end on the dot. You can register on their website or their handy dandy app and they offer classes at a variety of times, every day. One class is $23 or you can buy monthly packages for a discount. Make sure and call to find out if they are offering any new client specials or even if they will let you try a complimentary class. If you want to know more about the class itself I suggest checking out this helpful video from their website- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wlLQfM65A6A.

    The essentials

It's been almost a year since I set foot in this studio for the first time, and the only thing I wish I could change is that I did it sooner. Since I started coming to Pure Barre I've been amazed at the things I can do that I had previously thought were out of my reach. I was strictly a runner until I broke my foot. Once I got the OK to workout again I knew I had to make strength training part of my routine, but nothing I tried kept my attention until I came to the barre. I'm never bored by these classes, because even though I know the general structure of the class, I never know what to expect until the instructor cues up the next exercise. Every class is something new. The instructors are amazing and really want to help you get the most out of each class. Once you start to lift. tone. burn. you will never turn back!

Patricia taught my class and let me tell you, these small incremental moves really do pack a punch. Days later my legs were still jello. She was so kind and was great a cueing. I love when an instructor isnt judgemental but is helpful and inspirational and she was all of those things. The women in class were nice. It seems like many of them have been going there snd are familiar with one another. After class a few women made it a point to talk to me and made me feel welcome. It gives off a very community driven location which is something we should all be looking for in a fitness studio.

They had an intro offer (at that time was 2 weeks unlimited for $49) with an additional $10 off if purchased that day, which is activated on the first day of use (whatever date you choose). Plus raffles! As of May 2025, their current promo is 1 month unlimited for $78. Officially became a member on July 2024. The Bar Method is the first and (so far) only place that has motivated me enough to stay consistent with a workout routine. Before choosing The Bar Method, my workout buddy and I had tried other Barre/Pilates places. What made me choose The Bar Method over the others to start: -the amazing promos and affordable pricing; have to be mindful with budgeting in this economy y'all (send me a message if you want a comparison chart LOL fr) -honest; transparency with pricing and information, unlike some others -flexibility; there is NO membership sign up fee, there is NO membership cancellation fee, there is NO minimum commitment, they allow membership freezing for up to 3 months (just let them know the month before) WITHOUT a freeze fee for 2 times a year, there is no penalty for class cancellation 2 HOURS before class starts (there IS a fee if you cancel after this window and/or if you no-show, but you can call before class to explain if there is an emergency and they are understanding in these cases), and you can come to class 10 minutes late max (DO NOT make a habit of this tho!! I only mention this because other places lock their doors as soon as class starts) -variety of class start times; 6am-5:45/7pm M-Th, 6am-12:15pm Fri, 8:15-10:30am Sat, 9:30-11:30am Sun as of May 2025 What made me stay: -"low impact, high reward"; this is in their website and it is true, you feel the burn/shakes/soreness without doing exaggerated movements and you WILL get a WHOLE BODY work out while they guide/direct you on proper form as well as emphasize strategies to ensure your joints/back are protected at all times -improved overall strength, balance, posture, and mental health; the Bar Method has truly become my happy place, plus my knees no longer crackle-pop while climbing up the stairs! -variety of classes; bar method, cardio, strength, bar flow (like yoga), then some include restore (stretching) and some combos (30/30) -ALL of the instructors, which includes the owner; they know your name by your first class and onwards, are genuinely nice, will challenge you in the best way possible, and celebrate YOU (such as class milestones/your birthday) -the community; you truly feel like a part of the Bar Method Family Fun bonuses: -happy hours -special member classes every so often; sometimes themed -monthly challenges and raffles; I love me sum free socks and goodies heehee TL;DR, I love the Bar Method and you will too. Give it a try!

So I've been trying out different fitness locations and this one was close to home so I decided to…read moretry it out. I signed up for the hot yoga class at around 10am a couple Sundays ago. The location is right off the street so it's really easy to park near the parking garage and walk around to the front. When I walked in I noticed a clean lobby area with merchandise to sell. It was clean and tidy and well lit. I always love to walk into a clean lobby area especially before a fitness class. I met the person at the desk who happened to be the teacher and she had me fill out a waiver since it was my first time and she also introduced me to the studio space. She explained a little about what the various supplies were for and where the bathroom was. Now, there were only 4 other students in the class which was so great to get that personalized experience and she was a great yoga instructor. The only reason im giving it 4 stars is because when I saw "hot yoga" I thought I would be dripping with sweat. Instead, there were three space heaters along the wall that really didn't translate to hot yoga at all. But I want to give credit to the teacher who was a great instructor and I would be more than willing to come do their barre classes or other courses available! I would recommend for sure! But if you're looking for that sweaty hot yoga session, this wouldn't be the place.

I tried out my first class which was free, and there were only a few other ladies at the 6am class,…read moreso I got a lot of personal attention and guidance from the instructor, Elizabeth. The class started with a 10 minute warm up followed by 3 15-minute "blocks" of activities that focused on arms, legs, and core strength. We then finished with some light stretching and yoga poses. I was expecting more exercises using the bar given the studio name, but we only used it for the 15 minutes working on the thigh exercises. As a first time visitor with no experience in ballet, I was still able to keep up and perform the exercises. I especially appreciated how Elizabeth gave many tips on good form and which muscles to focus on, but I would've liked if she had provided modified versions of the activities (she only offered more difficult variations). Overall, the class had very balanced, holistic exercises that would be great for runners, climbers, and anyone looking for hip-opening exercises or ways to develop more well-rounded strength. Membership is $139/month ($125/month for students), and after the free first class, there is also a $49 2-week trial option. Those options include unlimited classes, but you can also get 6-class and 8-class packs for about $100-125.

Firstly, I'd like to say, the instructors here were very kind and seemed knowledgeable. The very few classes I attended did provide a decent workout. However, there are a few things that they fail to inform you when signing up. One class I signed up for was not included in the unlimited membership I had. I wasn't informed about this until roughly 40 minutes before my class (past the cancellation time) even though there was almost 24 for them to inform me about it. The class that was not included in the highest membership they offered me was $35. I called and informed them that I was not aware of this when I booked the class, no one ever informed me, and I won't be able to attend that day. I was told that I will be charged the $15 no show fee still, which was later refunded to me as credit to their shop. I then informed the receptionist that I would like to cancel my membership. What they don't tell you when you sign up is that they require a 30 day cancellation notice. I was not offered the opportunity to read the contract at sign up, and was told it would be emailed to me. But, I never received the email. Due to their 30 day cancellation notice, even though I never stepped foot on their property again, they still charged me for another month. $149 - the highest membership they offered me at the time of sign up. When I called to pay it the receptionist failed to take my card information completely, forgetting to ask me for the expiration date which I realized a few moments after the call. She called me back stating my card was declined and asked for me another card instead of admitting to her fault. She was very rude and as someone who works in customer service, this was a very unprofessional way to speak to someone about their money. So overall, I would not recommend this location to anyone because of the major lack of communication, hidden fees, and lack of professionalism that I experienced.
