My friends and I tried barre3 last Friday at 6am with instructor Ava. Ava was very helpful and gave us an overview of class and which pieces of equipment we would need for class. The class was a great workout. Nothing like I've ever done before. Ava walked around to help us out with our form and any modifications and ensured everyone was comfortable and feeling the workout in the right targeted areas. I went to a Signature class here with a friend through a trial with ClassPass. It was my first barre class. Our instructor was Simone and she was amazing. She had a lot of modifications that I felt comfortable with, having a total hip replacement and lost 370lbs. There was some times I couldn't get on the floor but the modifications she had still worked the right muscles an had my heart pumping. The studio was very cute and modern too. read more

Full disclosure, I'm a ClassPass girly and I have only been once to a Cardio Barre class. It was super challenging but was not traditional barre. I would love to return for a classic barre class! The front area seems a little crammed, but there are cubbies to put your stuff in and the barre room itself is spacious. Parking was a stressful situation but there is plenty of street parking as well as a lot across the street. I LOVED the format of the Cardio Barre class as a HIIT-style workout. It definitely gets your heart beating and the playlist the instructor had on had some BANGERS. I will definitely have to come back and try a traditional class! read more

ClassPass introduced me to barre3 and what a warm welcome it was! I'm actually going to call it a burning welcome because the workout lite my muscles up! It was an excellent workout that expertly combined cardio, strength, and balance. The movements were small but the results felt big! I'd definitely do it again. Just not tomorrow because I'm still recovering lol. The studio itself is very small and I actually missed it when driving by initially. They don't seem to have their own parking lot or structure but I was able to park on the street with ease. Once inside you'll be kindly greeted by Lauren working the front desk. She pointed out everything that I needed to know and was extremely helpful. The small boutique type studio is stocked with all the essentials and necessities. You can come to class sans equipment or towels because they are stocked. They also sell active wear and gear. Super expensive stuff but not surprising. Overall, this was a great experience and I'd recommend trying a class! read more

I walked into the studio about years ago and knew something was special about this place. It was one of the hardest workouts I had experienced yet I didn't experience any joint pain because it is low impact and because of all the modifications offered (actually, they are encouraged). Since then I've seen incredible results not just in my body but in my overall health, the way I view myself and my choices both inside barre3 and throughout the week. I had the pleasure of being invited by a friend who had won a private class session to this studio. I've been uber curious about these barre classes that are all the rage but since I'm loyal to Jazzercise , I never really ventured out. I'm so glad I had the opportunity to check this place out. One of the big pros for me is that it is about 1 minute from where I live. I could walk here. There's a huge parking lot at the corner of New York and Morse that you can park in or , if you're lucky, you can park off street in front of the studio which is what I did. When you walk in, you're greeted by the girl at the front desk/check in area and to your left is a play area for the kiddos. I filled out a liability agreement and then was directed to the locker area for my belongings. I left my shoes (you workout barefoot) and personal stuff locked up but brought my water and a towel so I'd have easy access to during class. Our instructor, Kelsey, was awesome. She was very friendly and down to earth. She was very patient and accommodating for those of us who had never tried a barre class before. There are weights, medicine balls and yoga mats provided for you. The workout begins with a "warmup" on the ballet barre and slowly the moves become more challenging and intense. It really is amazing how effective small movements can be and it surely tests your flexibility and balance. Some of the moves are reminiscent of pilates and yoga classes I have taken in the past. And I am sure the more you attend classes, the better you get! Another thing I liked is that the classes are set to top 40 music you hear on the radio so I get a burst of energy ...definitely not sleepy music here! I know most people who are skeptics but you really do sweat in this class! The funny thing is that it sneaks up on you and before you know it, you're drenched! Bring a towel! I actually looked up pricing when I got home because I was curious. It is quite high and not for everyone's budget even with the different packages they offer. I would probably only sign up if I got a great deal. Also, if you do ever sign up, make sure to check out the schedule to make sure it works with you. They only have one studio so times seem to be limited. I did see that they offer a free class on the first Saturdays of the month at the Winter Park Farmers Market so that's a great way to check out if it is for you and your fitness level. I had received and e-mail about a free 1 yr anniversary class they were having and decided to sign up since I had enjoyed the elite event we had had here back in May. The owner Ashley was instructing the class for the day and she was very kind and attentive. She gave me a quick tour as I had pretty much forgotten the layout from the last visit; I felt very welcomed. The workout itself was as intense as I remembered it to be, but very effective. There was no pressure to follow her exact routine move for move, she reiterated several times that one should listen to your own body and do what feels effective but not painful. My poor legs were shaking up a storm and I remember thinking "Dang!!!! Why am I shaking so bad? It's not like I don't exercise, just the day before I had done a 5k in just under 30 minutes!!" When class was done however, she mentioned that it's not uncommon for runners to shake more during these types of workouts - phew! Here I thought it might have been because I had overdone it on the Starbucks coffee that day! So that is a useful fyi tip to know if you're a runner, do not be embarrassed or concerned if you start shaking during the work out. Best workout, ever. I've been doing barre3 for close to four years and can't believe I'm only writing a review now... it is the one sustainable workout that continues to challenge me in new ways. The workout combines cardio, strength, balance, and meditation. It pays special attention to muscles that are often neglected, and you will be sore in places you never thought possible. One of the BEST barre workouts ever. Will kick your butt and you will eventually get a six pack. I got a four pack the day after my first class, and I don't even workout that often. It's clear that everyone who regularly goes there is super fit, the instructor was really nice and paid attention to everyone in the class, and it's well priced. I have been going to this studio for over 2 years now and have had a positive experience every time I walk through the doors! The staff are friendly and kind, always welcoming to newcomers and returning clients. The classes focus on YOU--your hour of movement, what works best for your body, your breath, and how to stay positive. But they aren't just fluff! If you've read my Barre 54 reviews, you know I'm becoming increasingly obsessed with barre classes. Since my subscription at 54 ended, I thought I would hop over to Barre3. Barre3 while just as challenging has a 54 but has more relaxed style. I went to the Saturday 9:45am class. There were not too many people there so we got individual attention from Kaila (the instructor). She was a lot of fun. I was shaking up a storm as usual. Just standing at the reception desk after class, my bum was still twitchy. If you aren't familiar with barre, it's where ballet meets yoga and pilates. It's designed to streghtening and lengthen your muscles, I would say. It's a great workout. Especially for those with back issues like me. First timers suggestions: Let them know it's your first time, bring water and be prepared to feel like you're going to die. read more

I attended a class a barre3 since my subscription to Barre54 expired like a previous reviewer. I was a bit worried that I wouldn't be able to handle the workout because I was on a two month barre hiatus. I went to a mid-day class on a day off of work. It was perfect because the class was challenging but I could work at my comfort level. I received personal attention from the instructor to help correct my form. I regularly do yoga and run, but a good barre class always manages to find the muscles that hide from those workouts and will exhaust them into oblivion - and Barre3 excels at this. It's a particularly good workout for core muscles, back and booty, but will work your whole body and you'll be shaking all over when you're done :) No pretention, no socks, just an intense workout in a beautiful studio! there are times you give a wife a gift and she puts it on the shelf other times you give her a gift and it revitalized not only your relationship but her spirit. i am fortunate to have a wife that enjoys here freedom to do what she wants. for her it is barre3 that evokes a daily routine of visiting the studio in winter parrk, a husband can give many things that adorns ones wife but he will find it hard to give anything that has greater rewards then the spirit and health that revolves around her ritual of working out in an environment with staff and patrons that all have a kindle spirit. when i get home not only is she a great deal happier from her time at the studio from the benefits that is rewarded from the energy spent, but with that comes an appreciation for all i do to provide this outlet. if someone ask is barre3 costly i would respond by saying it is one of the best investment you can give for what is greater then health. thank you barre3 from a husband that might not be in the studio but does see the rewards everyday from the workout. read more

I went there just for one class cause I'm a tourist and the teacher Simone was awesome. It was a little less balletessque than I expected. The barre doesn't really do much. Is more of like Pilates work out. Definitely expected more ballet technique (combined with regular exercises of course). But overall is a wry strong good workout. read more

After moving from NY to FL, I was in a rush to find a 'barre' workout in the Winter Park area that met my fitness needs, as well as complemented my other workouts (i.e. running). Barre3 definitely hits the mark. I have tried other barre studios in the area, but nothing else compares to the actual workout, music selection, studio and instructors at Barre3. The class is a perfect blend of barre, yoga and pilates, and the instruction is helpful because you are given individual attention without being 'called' out vocally as in some of the other barre branded studios I have attended. I have so many great things to say about Barre 3 studio! I went to a class here as part of ClassPass. It was kind of against my will because I haven't really cared for the barre experience I had at the other local barre studios. Barre 3 totally got me hooked and changed my mine quickly! Their class is a combo of cardio, strength training with the barre, and yoga stretching. I loved everything about it because it was just the right amount of all the stuff I love. The instructors are really encouraging and don't intimidate you. Even the members were super nice and friendly. The studio provides the props needed for class as well as plenty of toiletries in the 2 spacious bathrooms. They even have child care! I will say it's a bit pricey but I love the class that much it may be worth it. My only suggestion to management is to offer a class after 6pm. It's next to impossible to get there after work during the week with all the traffic in Winter Park. read more

Barre3 Winter Park has changed my life in so many ways! The classes are a great mix, instructors check with everyone on adaptations that a person may need, instructors are all so knowledgeable regarding fitness and physiology. The MindBody connection has really helped connecting to breathing and I have achieved better results with Barre3 than I every did with the gym, personal trainers, etc. Andi Prather, owner, and her staff are so friendly and welcoming, everything is clean, and amenities are provided (ponytail holders, water cups, etc.). The community feeling is wonderful, I have met so many other clients who have become friends! Barre3 Winter Park is truly more than an exercise class. This place is clean and very nice. The owner is very friendly and welcoming. The woman are in groups talking often and not the most welcoming. Most of the woman who come are moms or expecting moms wanting a light and safe workout. They offer day care as well when you are working out. I attend the early class four days per week and love it. The monthly special is a great value and the workout is terrific. This is my first barre experience and I love it! It's a great combination of stretching and strength training for long lean muscles. Ashley is an excellent instructor. She articulates instructions very well and is positive/motivating without being overly so. The studio is clean, light filled, and conveniently located with easy parking. Love love love! I can't say enough about this place. I have done barre workouts in different places around the country and this is by far my favorite. Not only do you get a great work out in a great location but, they have child care! That pushes them over the line to being better than any other place I've been to. My daughter is 3 and she LOVES going to class with me. It only costs $5 per class for her to come or 10 for $45. Parking is easy in the lot across the street. If you are trying to choose a barre studio you should try this one first. You won't need to go anywhere else. read more
