I came in for the free intro class to get an idea of what Pure Barre is like since I was curious about how different studios teach barre classes. I really enjoyed how this studio really focuses on form. During the intro class the instructor offers hands on correction to your posture and making sure you're feeling the work in the right places. The workout at pure barre definitely seems to be more intense than other barre studios I've been to. Based on other reviews it looks like they used to be on ClassPass but that's not the case anymore. I hope they rejoin so I can drop in for when I'm around in Redmond!

I came here for the first time with a ClassPass, and I'm glad I did! I've been to a Pure Barre in Bellevue, but since Pure Barre is franchised, they have different owners. Since I was new, I had to fill out a form and then one of the workers walked me around the studio to show me around and get my equipment set up- I felt very welcomed! I took a class with Lizelle and she was great! I took a previous barre class at a different studio last weekend and in comparison: 1. Pure Barre (PB) has a great stereo system - it was easy to hear instructions without too much noise/interference 2. The floor was easy to work on, and I like the line designs that help make sure you are aligned in poses 3. The mirrors on all the walls make it very easy to see yourself and your posture 4. The instructor at PB, Lizelle, gave better verbal and hands on instructions than the previous studio - I definitely felt more comfortable at PB! 5. I liked that PB has a worker come in mid workout who removes equipment that the class is done with - this leaves more room for movement and easier clean up at the end! 6. The workout had more stretching incorporated at PB to give rest to muscles which I liked Parking: there is a garage right next to the studio for retail, just make sure to remember your license, as you will need to give that to the PB front desk. I had a great class and would return!

My second favorite Pure Barre studio!! My favorite teacher here is... Katie Kelly! I love that her classes usually include a band that's attached to the bar when class starts. I've taken a class from maybe one other teacher who uses those extra bands. I love this location because it's really close to the Redmond Trader Joe's. Very convenient when I'm in Redmond. I also love the natural light in the studio. Windows are good! The random cool thing is sometimes they have events and little special... things. My favorite was probably the surprise Wine Wednesday treat after class one day! Studio notes: They have a couple bathrooms/changing rooms and lockers that you lock with a number (no need to bring a lock).

The instructor is clearly professional. She takes you through the movements step by step while also pumping you up with the rhythm of the pounding music. I haven't worked out in a couple of months and this place made it interesting, creative and nonjudgmental. You go at your own intensity and when I found my muscles quaking again I knew I could get back in to the swing of workouts.

I started going to Pure Barre a couple months ago and am absolutely in love with the facility. The instructors are super friendly and helpful. Noon classes are typically pretty busy, so if you want a smaller class, I would recommend week day morning classes. They also host free classes once a month to "break down the barre" and teach you the techniques in a more personal class, which is pretty neat. You first warm up with weights and a long stretchy band, and when you are finished, a staff member will come and put it away for you, which some other studios don't do. The music seems to go great with the workouts, and the owner, Sami, is super friendly and helpful. I've taken a couple classes with her. I'd highly recommend!

This is the key to success!

The Pure Barre studio in Redmond opened the end of October 2014. I joined on November 5th, 2014. I was terrified to give Pure Barre a try - I have acute lower back issues and have walked out of several other introductory classes in the past several years. The Manager of the Redmond studio was understanding, explained everything to me and happily answered all my (MANY!) questions. I had such a good experience and felt so good physically after my first class, I purchased a class package before leaving the studio the first day. Pure Barre is a workout that has no impact to joints, incorporates light weights for arm and shoulder work, is like a cross between yoga, Pilates and utilizes a ballet bar. It is a great well-rounded workout covering arms and shoulders, thighs, seat and abs. The exercises are approached differently in each class and remain challenging no matter how long you have been working out at Pure Barre. Pure Barre instructors are amazing and have helped me with modifications so that I could be successful in spite of my back issues. Pure Barre offers a welcoming, supportive environment for all with lots of positive motivating and encouragement. Classes at Pure Barre are not just filled with 'afters', there are a wide range of people working toward their own personal best. Each instructor is a professional who is there to help each person reach their goals. I think I am hooked on the feeling of accomplishment I have when I finish a class. Not only do I feel great physically, but I love the feeling of knowing that I did my very best and that I try harder each and every class. I don't compare myself to others - I just compare myself to when I started. It is a part of my day that I truly look forward to - I love the encouragement, motivation and support from all the amazing instructors at each class. Not only do I get an excellent workout, but my quality of life has increased to a level that I wondered if I could ever get back. My core is getting stronger and I am now living pain-free and healthy - that is the best reward! The Redmond studio is located where Cleveland Street branches off from Redmond Way in the Red160 building. There is free parking beneath the building as well as street parking available.

I just started going here consistently and I LOVE IT! I really don't enjoy cardio but I feel like…read morethese classes totally trick me into loving it, plus getting strength in alone the way. The class formats are really fun-lots of variety and each week builds on previous classes so you feel like you're learning and getting the hang of things after a week or two. Walking into the studio is also just FUN- so inclusive, fun music and lights, and super supportive instructors. My favorite classes are Bands with Elise and Dance with Chris! I feel like even after 2 weeks of consistency I already feel like my endurance is improving and I was able to advance to a more challenging resistance band in the Bands class. Looking forward to seeing results once I keep up the consistency!

I went to my first class a few weeks ago and this was the first fitness class that I thought about walking out before it ended. Don't get me wrong, the studio is awesome and has a nice vibe - the staff is super friendly as well. But this didn't feel like dancing...it was more like...how would I describe it... choreographed fitness steps for suburban housewives with no rhythm. Ah, there we go. Instructions were super fast and hard to follow, the music didn't match the vibe of the dance.... ie: attempting to dance hip hop style to a Jackson 5 song. (I use the term hip hop style loosely because I *think* that's what they were aiming for.) I'm glad I went though..I'd been wanting to try AKT for a while but learned it was not for me. I think this could be a great place for a specific demographic, though.

After a few classes I quickly started realizing the benefit. Having a desk job I often am bothered by back pain issues despite proper ergonomics. After a month of classes, just once a week, I started feeling a difference. Now four months later I rarely experience any back or neck pain. The focus on core muscles I didn't know even exist really helped me a lot, something I know I was missing from my normal exercise. I love how fun the classes are. I am always amazed how fast the time goes. So different than an hour on a boring treadmill. More fun than a personal training too in my opinion. The class sizes are a great size, generally around 5, which makes it more engaging and you still get enough personal help. Angelina is also an awesome trainer. She made it very easy to jump in and get results quickly. I was working hard and enjoying it from the first class. Her studio is beautiful too and has a great vibe, very positive atmosphere. I think pilates will for sure be a continuing part of my workout routine!
