I would have given 5 stars but one thing. When you have a number of elderly people waiting, you should look at the situation, and determine if they should board first. They typically need seating close to the boarding location. We went this past Sunday, everything was wonderful except for the battle axe woman at the podium at the boat. She tried to stop us from putting our 90 year old mother in a chair in the shade to wait till boarding. She pointed out the line formed down the dock and we would be in the way of people getting off the boat. We were under a tiki hut in a chair........no one was going to use that for an exit. We waited till everyone was boarded, she made sure no one was walking from Marco Island, then told us to "get her on board". The rest of the team were great. As a builder in the Port Royal area, I find it funny how BAD your information is on who lives where and such, but that is fine....tourists have no idea. read more

Meh. The tour focused less on nature, beaches, and dolphins than I hoped. As in, it was about 5% of the tour. This was a tour of rich people's 2nd or 3rd homes and their yachts. I learned a little about mangroves and saw a dolphin jump, so 2 stars. read more

Had a Groupon deal to take either the sunset cruise or a dolphin-watching cruise with Pure Naples on a recent visit to southwest Florida. We four opted to take the sunset cruise as that fit better into our schedule, and overall it was a pleasant and interesting trip. As a background, you are taken out into Naples bay, then pass by the *huge* mansions of Port Royal, and finally spend a few minutes out in the Gulf of Mexico before turning around and heading back to port. The weather was mediocre (mostly cloudy and breezy), and unfortunately we could not see the sunset which I am sure would have looked spectacular from the point where they stop the boat to view it. Still, it was very scenic to be out on the Gulf, see the gigantic homes, candidly check out the wildlife (we spotted at least a few manatees and dolphins). The crew was friendly but kind of bland with the narration. There are food and drinks for sale onboard, which is convenient, but no bathrooms (go before you set sail!) Overall, I think taking the cruise was worth it and made for some really great photo opportunities, and the ride was enjoyable. I will have to come back another time to see the amazing sunset on a day that the weather cooperates. read more

Pure Naples came recommended from another water sports rental company who was a fantastic experience. We called ahead to make a reservation, and it seemed like an easy process. When I (22 yo) and my father (50 yo) walked up to the desk, I was immediately asked if I was born before 1988, which I was not. When I said no to that, I was given an extremely demeaning look, which continued after she asked if I had my boating license, which I did not. For some background, I have jet skiied in 3 different cities in Florida, with ease, and never had any trouble regarding my age. I was then told that I had to take a 25-multiple choice question boating test in order to ride a single-person jet ski, which was an extra charge. I took it, and failed by 2 questions (My fault, not theirs). My dad and I then agreed to share one jet ski, and when asked for a credit, they said there was a 48-hour cancellation fee and they gave us a gift card for the jet ski instead. The woman at the desk was completely unapologetic for spending 20 minutes having us go through this process that we didn't know was coming our way. I would have been perfectly fine taking the test had I known going in (none of this was mentioned when we made the reservation) or if she had even shown slight remorse. There was a young boy helping out who was very nice. The jet ski ride was a blast, but I wish that I hadn't been treated demeaningly for being confused at a process that I didn't know about. read more

I just returned from taking the hour and a half tour And was very happy I went on the wonderful cruise. Smooth sailing , plenty to see!! We sat up top and has great views. Also a highlight of the cruise was the great man that gave all kinds of great information in a fun and story like telling, wish I could remember his name. I do remember he has 3 daughters and bought all of them cars. If you take the cruise you will understand why that has importance There were four or five dolphins playing alongside the boat and it was amazing to watch All in all I highly recommend this as something fun for all ages! I mean there beautiful, but after a while u just wanna head into the gulf to spend time at sea. We booked our fishing trip months before hand, and when the day came, it was canceled due to "bad weather." But a private fishing tour went out. On top of that, we never got a phone call. And the lady that I spoke to was the rudest person I have ever met. We had so many works walk past us while we were waitong and not one person said anything. I cannot believe that we waited an hour and not one person said anything. We will not be returning. What an awesome trip! We took the eco-tour with Capt Bill and Capt Teddy. They knew where to look and pointed out a ton of birds. We saw an Osprey dive, catch a fish, bring it to the nest and then the momma fed it to the babies! Incredible! They also spotted a wild boar for us! Tried out the Double Sunshine last night for my first time cruising around the Naples Bay. My mother (who we were visiting) somehow found coupons for $10 off which I recommend trying to find. The boat was comfortable with a bottom and top deck. It was a cold night, but the company supplied blankets which appeared to be clean and were definitely needed late into the boat ride. We had a great tour guide who described all of the areas we were passing and was able to point out many different types of wildlife. We kept referring to him as Bob Barker (as he sounded very similar), but he really did a good job narrating the tour. The houses were gorgeous and were only exceeded in beauty by the dolphins, osprey, deer, and 4 bald eagles we were fortunate enough to see. We tried to go out into the golf, but the captain decided it was too choppy and for safety reasons, brought us back into the bay for the sunset. Being someone who doesn't get seasick, I was slightly disappointed, but happy to know that they are worried about people's safety. The sunset was gorgeous and our captain made sure to sit in a suitable viewing spot until it was completed (we almost missed the final seconds as another boat was trying to move in the way of our view). Overall, it was a great tour on a decent boat and a beautiful way to watch the spectacular Naples sunset. read more

As a child taking family vacations to SW Florida, I always looked forward to fishing outings with the family. As an adult, however, fishing has somewhat fallen off the "to do" list as I've grown (or perhaps regressed) to become more impatient, restless and plagued by a short attention span. After spending a half day with good friends on a backwater light tackle outing with Captain Pat, I think it's time that I made a renewed commitment to revisit those past trips as a kid and place a fishing trip on my "must do" list for Florida trips. Capt. Pat has an uncanny knack for knowing how to put together a great experience for anglers of all experiences and levels. Pat really impressed me with his local knowledge. He knows all the right spots and understands both the temperaments of the fish and his guests. And that's probably the most important skill--recognizing the guests' sensibilities and creating a great shared experience for his party. Pat kept our party busy fishing throughout the trip. He took us to several spots in the backwaters between Hamilton Harbor and Marco and was careful to share his keen tricks and techniques about how to catch fish in different conditions. Pat also did a tremendous job of working around the inclement weather conditions (rain, choppy gulf waters) along with our varying interests to make a great trip. So if you're planning to head to Naples, make sure to include an outing with Capt. Pat in your itinerary. We did the Jet Thrill ride and it was so much more than expected! You do get soaked so wear something you'd be comfortable beimg wet in. The speed and the spins are perfect for anyone that loves the thrill. Captain Nick was hilarious, charismatic, and knowledgeable about the area. Definitely request to be on his boat!! Horrible, horrible experience! Captain Josh started demanding us to go a the end of the line when we were there first when the boat wasn't even there. Have no idea what his problem was with us. I wasn't at first sure he is talking to us because we were there waiting for 30 min but than I realized it was us. He was rude, obnoxious and had no manners. Blamed on us we were not there and we need to go back in the line. People behind us were like common they were here first what are you doing. Guy that came after us but went in front of us had 5 people later coming that were not in the line at all but this so called Captain Josh didn't say one word to them. Had to leave before my husband does something he shouldn't but i had no longer desire to even be there let alone to have him boat me around. His frustration should be fixed somewhere else and not on the customers. We live in Naples and have a boat but since we are waiting on the new one I asked my husband to go with me. Jet Boat experience started out exciting and then became quite boring! Headed out of Naples bay at Tin City, thought we make it out to the Gulf of Mexico through Gordon's Pass. Did a lot of spins in Dollar Bay which was fun at the beginning because it was very hot out. However, we stopped for a speech on Manatees, Osprey, and Dolphins. Excuse me...I didn't go on the Jet Boat to sight see...I wanted to go fast, and have a fun time splashing in the waves! Instead of going in the Gulf Of Mexico and maybe cruising fast past the Naples Pier...we ended up going back to Dollar bay for more spins. Back at the dock before 1pm. Hum, maybe should extend to 90 mins or stop talking about sea life and drive! read more

Super fun and informational eco tour/ dolphin watch cruise! I took my mom as a Christmas gift and we had a great time! Our captain was very knowledgeable and had us laughing from the minute we got on the boat, to the very end. Our first mate was also awesome... he was offering us soda or water and gave us blankets on the way back. We saw 7 dolphins!!!!!! 3 were babies learning how to fish. It was a fantastic sight. When they brought us to the island with the shells, we all got off and they gave us bags to keep our shells in. The beach was full of shells that were all intact. We saw huge houses, boats, fish, shells and dolphins. The trip was spectacular and would highly recommend it to anyone who is in the Naples area!! Great Job! read more

Do not recommend. This company scammed me out of $500 dollars. I booked a boat rental for 6 hours and when I got back, they told me I only booked it for 4 and charged me the extra $500. The woman was putting words in my mouth telling me what I was told on the phone when I booked it a month before- she didn't even know who I spoke to. How are you going to tell me what was said and booked when you weren't even dealing with me? You will not see a DIME of this extra charge because I will dispute it and get my money back. Don't ever put words in a customers mouth. I did not sign ONE paper saying I booked a four hour trip. I originally paid 550 dollars for this rental. Make sure you have everything in writing because when you return your boat, they will SCAM you and say you're late and charge you extra money. They told me that they said to have it back at 1 o'clock (when they didn't) when the woman on the phone told me 3. Why would I come back 2 hours late if I knew I would be paying a total cost of ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS for a 6 hour boat rental??? Shame on you. You'll be hearing from visa. What a treat for Halloween! We took the speedboat adventure on Halloween.! This ride lasted about an hour well worth the price. Check for Groupon before you go. Went on the 4 hour deep sea Gulf fishing trip with Capt Joe on Sunday, February 28. He started by telling us it will take an hour from the dock to get to our fishing spot, well we left the dock at 7:55 and didn't stop until 9:15. When we did finally get to fish the captain never put is over fish! Every 10-15 mins he would start the engines and move around for the same amount of time until we were able to fish again. This went on until 10:50 when we were told we are heading back to the dock. This was a waste of a morning and expensive "boat ride". I would suggest the bay fishing trip instead since you get to spend more time fishing than riding in the boat. read more

Such a great evening seeing what the other half live like and ending it with an amazing sunset. We were able to grab a groupon as it wasn't peak season and opted for the 90 minute susnset cruise. Unfortunately one of their boats was affected by Irma but we still had a blast on the one level boat. Both hosts were friendly, funny, and accommodating. We had the only two kiddos on the boat and they were able to find a place for us to sit together and to stash our stroller. Drinks come from a cooler and aren't anything fancy, but felt great on a hot day. The timing was just about right but I could have spent forever looking at those houses! read more

MISLEADING AND NOT TRUTHFUL LEADS TO IRRESPONSIBLE! Rented jet ski for 3 hours, was told wife's LV sport bag would be water protected in upper compartment. To our shock, when we got back and went to retrieve it, the compartment was partially filled with water because the a plug at the bottom had rattled loose said the employee who was there (the same employee) who told my wife that her property would be safe from water only in that compartment. Needless to say, her LV now has water damage. On top of this, we were told that in certain areas in the bodies of water we were traveling in on our way to Marco island, we could open up the throttle when in fact, this was not the case. In fact, about 1 third of the trip was (No Wake) while the other 2 thirds the speed limit was 30, a pretty big difference from the 45 max that we were told the watercraft would go when in fact, the governor had it stopped at 37 mph. I called and expressed my grievance and was told the owner would call me back. I never heard from them again! read more
