We bought a Groupon offer for the dolphin cruise, and it was definitely worth it. When we were on the tour boat, I forgot our tour included shelling time, so I was glad that was part of it. Otherwise, 3 hours out on the water might be too long. There was only one other couple on the boat with us, so we got our choice of where to sit and stand throughout the trip. They have a bathroom on board, but I prefer not to have to use anything like that again because it's hand pumped. I thought "drinks" like soda were provided on this tour because it says that on my Groupon offer, but they only had bottled water. We saw dolphins throughout the trip especially at the beginning and end. The tour guide was glad to follow and get close to any we spotted. At some point, he tried to make waves to have the dolphins play with us, but a larger boat came and disrupted that. We saw plenty of birds on the trip - mainly osprey and pelicans. The shelling part was surprising to me because we pulled up onto a mangrove covered shore and followed a path to the other side, which turned out to be a secluded beach on the Gulf of Mexico. I didn't realize we were so close to the other side after navigating through the bay covered in lots of greenery. I was glad that they provided us with bags for shelling. If you're looking for sand dollars, Keewaydin Island is one place to go for them. I had been searching for sand dollars all over in Sanibel and Ft. Myers and hadn't found a single one. We found one at Keewaydin, but it crumbled in my fingers. The other couple on our tour found more than one. read more

I had a fantastic experience with Pure Florida on July 4th -- they blew me out of the water, pun intended. My boyfriend's dad set up a charter boat experience with our captain Sam so that we could all take a cruise around Naples and watch the sunset and fireworks. Our experience was incredible. Sam was very knowledgeable and fun to be around and he shared very interesting anecdotes about the wildlife and the areas we traveled around. He was also extremely cautious and made sure to set the anchor in a spot that wasn't crowded with other boaters (he said on a day like July 4th it was best to avoid any potential issues with drunk boaters and I'm grateful that he was thinking about our safety). Sam took us around the marina where we got to see some beautiful, albeit opulent, homes. Then we cruised around a shallow beach, where we saw THREE dolphins and we also saw a large stingray jump out of the water on two separate occasions. The entire experience was overwhelmingly positive and I would highly recommend both Sam and Pure Florida if you'd like to have a great time in Naples. read more

On Thursday, 3 of us booked the Saturday sunset sail aboard the Double Sunshine. At that point we could see about 15 seats still open. Immediately I received the email confirmation with instruction to arrive at 4:45 for the 5:15 sailing. A couple of hours before our departure time, I got a text reminding me of our time and a few instructions. We arrived at Tin City around 4:40 and there were were already at least 2 dozen people in line to board before us. It was a beautiful evening and the many pelicans kept us entertained until they began boarding. Boarding was efficient. By the time 5pm rolled around almost everyone was on board. We sat on the top deck, left side, in the last row of benches and it was a perfect spot, although pretty much anywhere were great seats. The restrooms and bar are on the first level. A glass of wine and 2 beers totaled around $27 after tip. It would be nice if they could add a cupholder solution to the benches as it is challenging holding a cup or bottle while trying to take photos. Captain Chris was a wonderful captain and guide. The speaker system was clear and we learned a lot about whose family owns which mansion and also the costs of not just real estate, but owning a yacht. Going down one of the canals the PA had to be turned off so the neighbors were not bothered by the noise. At that point on each deck we had a guide who took over and just used their voice. Our guide was John and he was a riot. He had all of us chuckling and was very knowledgeable of who's who. The sunset was beautiful. Captain Chris moved and turned the boat so that everyone had a view of the sun regardless of what side of the boat you were on. The highlight was on the return trip back, we saw dolphins! As you depart, there is a place for cash tips. I'd recommend this trip, and in the SW Florida Map there is a $5 off coupon. I believe booking through Yelp may also give you the discount if it is still being offered. read more

Took the sunset cruise in March. Was very informative with the staff talking about the history of the houses, canals, and boats in the area. The waves in the Gulf of Mexico were choppy so we stopped just at the entrance and had great views of the sun setting. It was much cooler when the sun sets so a light jacket is a good idea. Real good 8 hr fishing trip. The problem was getting our filets. The captain spent (we left after 1.5 hours!!) cleaning the fish from one party. They had some special type of cleaning or something. Terrible experience trying to go on sunset cruise. Arrived 1/2 early as requested and the boat was full. There were 4 people in my group and we weren't able to sit. Went to the office to get a refund and was told they don't do refunds. The rude "lady" insisted there were seats for us but we would have to sit separately. Sit alone with strangers? Again she insisted no refunds. Then I cussed and another woman stepped in and told me not to swear . Turns out the first woman lied about the refund. I finally got it but they took money for a restocking fee, That was just out of spite because that's how they roll. They insisted it our fault because we didn't want to sit alone with strangers. Great experience! At the recommendation of our hotel concierge my boyfriend booked this as a surprise for my birthday weekend and it was so enjoyable! Upon first arrival the "Tin City" area seems a bit old/gimmicky but the boat is docked nice and close and we boarded pretty fast. With everyone wanting to be in the sunshine the top deck filled up fast, but we were able to get seats and since there is plenty to see on both sides of the river, there isn't really a bad seat in the house. We each got a drink to toast "take off", they had decent options (we had a mini prosecco bottle and a Stella). The captain/main narrator was funny and did most of the talking, they mostly focused on the real estate along the river (particularly on the north side), it seemed a bit money focused for my taste, but the others seemed to enjoy it. I prefer a little more on the history/facts side than how much a home costs, but the mate that spoke during our inner tour of port Royal (I think they can't have microphones inside the neighborhood canals) was funny and she told some more personal stories and less on the $$ transactions. The boat tour took us down the river and through the neighborhood canals and then out to the gulf (we were lucky and had a good weather night) and then we positioned for sunset. They did a full 360 so that everyone had a chance for a good photo! Then we headed back down the river to dock. Beautiful views of the Naples coast, we could see all the way down to Marco island and it truly was a lovely sunset experience. We would definitely suggest it to others and really enjoyed ourselves. We found this company through yelp and among all of the area competitors, it had the most reasonable price for time and activities on and off board. The Marina is located in Tin City of Naples with little restaurants and shops with which we were able to occupy our morning until boarding the boat. Our tour was led by Captain Josh and First Mate Katie, who were equal parts entertaining, knowledgeable, and hospitable. We were among passengers of all ages who were all friendly, which added the experience. On our three-hour tour we saw over 10 dolphin pairings, dozens of bird and plant species local to southwest Florida, and lots of costal real estate to admire. Midway though the tour Captain Josh let us off in Keewayden Island where we shell searched, enjoyed a self-packed picnic lunch, and soaked up the sun while laying in the white sandy beach. This was a great way to spend an afternoon with a family, couple, friends, and it felt safe enough to go alone if that's your thing. It scratches the itch for any boat-lover who might not be a captain at heart. We will come back for another tour, possibly the sight seeing one. read more

6 hour deep-sea fishing trip was very good. The captain and crew worked hard to help fishermen. When there were few bites we quickly moved on to a new spot, we all caught a lot of fish, not all keepers, but plenty of action. Giant porgys and red groupers were a treat. Then go to Riverwalk restaurant where they will prepare your fish, preferably blackened. I am hoping to get on an 8 hour trip. It would be nice to see those more than Saturdays. We arrived at the dock for a sunset cruise around 6:30pm and a monsoon rain pour came down with lightning. At least 80 people sat outside on the dock. Not one crew acknowledged us while being rained on. Everyone was wondering and confused that we had not even one person give any direction. Finally at 7pm the Captain comes out and let everyone know he was going to wait until the last minute to make a decision. He also added if we wanted we could call the main number posted on the building to have our trip rescheduled, AND if there was lightning he would immediately turn around. My wife and I felt uncomfortable about the situation so we did call the number. After speaking to a younger gentleman and explaining the situation I asked if we could instead get a refund because we didn't want to risk the lightning and especially if we were going to turn around shortly after not getting what we paid for. He then asked me to hold and it rang to to lady named Paula. I tried to explain I must have been transferred. That took a couple minutes to explain while she at the same time seemed rude about it. I explained to her what the Captain said and told her we don't have the flexibility to reschedule and wanted to just get a refund. She rudely argued and simply refused. I told her about the Captain saying about turning around if there was lightning, but she said he didn't say that. I was like really? There were a lot of people that just heard that, and asked if she wanted a second opinion from one of the several customers that also heard it. I just want to say think twice before paying a cruise. You are stuck and end up dealing with extreme rude service. read more

We were in town (Naples) visiting our friends who live there. We decided to take an eco-tour on this trip down! Let me tell you, this tour is an absolute MUST-DO!!! We booked a 9am tour and went out on 15 Dec. No one else booked, so our group was able to have the entire boat to ourselves! We brought snacks and drinks to enjoy on the boat. The boat was clean and seemed to be in good working order. It even has a small bathroom on-board, just in case! Sam and Tyler from Pure Florida, our captain and guides were amazing! Request them if you can! Very knowledgeable and entertaining! They even tried to steel the boat to make the wakes from other boats less intrusive on us. It's really the little things, haha. They truly made this an unforgettable experience! We saw many birds (pink spoonbills, crane, osprey (and HUGE nests), storks, pelican), dolphins and other wildlife (raccoons, lol)! The dolphins even started to tail the boat and ride our wave when we got out into the water where you could go a little faster!!! We had 3 of them at one point riding the boats wave and jumping in and out of the water. It was MAGICAL. Just spectacular! Keewaydin Island was also very beautiful. Something out of a magazine or travel brochure. Serine, secluded and very private. There were not many people out that morning. Maybe 2 other boats docked at the beach when we arrived. The boat docked on the beach and you get to hop out and take a path through the island/mangroves to the Gulf of Mexico side! Not knowing what to expect, it was really cool to hear the waves crashing on the beach as you walk through the mangrove forest. We had an entire beach pretty much to ourselves. MILLIONS of amazing sea shells and sea finds! It was exciting to walk down the beach and get excited about finding new and different shells I had never seen before! On the way back to the dock, we were able to witness dolphins hunting in the shallows. Completely amazing!! I will NEVER forget this experience and will recommend highly to anyone! read more

You have to go pretty far to reach dolphin territory and you have to turn back by the time you reach them. But it was fun and if youre on a time crunch better than nothing. read more

I've been on the 90 minute boat ride with this company 3 times now. My trips occurred yesterday, January 2015 and another visit 7-8 years ago. I purchased a Groupon for the sailing, it was $21 for 2. This is where I have to gripe, I was charged an ADDITIONAL $9 for taxes when I booked. I was a bit upset about this, as I have purchased many Groupons and never had to pay additional taxes. My mother had also purchased the same Groupon and found this extra fee to be odd. I've taken the sunset cruise twice and did a daytime tour once. Last night we went on the sunset trip, it didn't differ too much from the daytime sailing I went on two years ago. The trip during the day mostly consists of a cruise through the waterways of Naples and a tour of the lavish vacation homes of the rich and famous. The sunset sail consisted of an extra 10 minutes spent watching the sunset. We got some brief glimpses of the beach in Naples, but this is really more about seeing the homes of the one percenters. The homes are pretty much over the top, but fun to gawk at. The boat is fairly large and stable, I didn't feel like the wake from the other boats bothered me too much. There is seating upstairs and down on the boat. Some of the upstairs seating is in the shade and other parts are exposed to the sun. Our sailing was at 5 PM, but we were told to be there at 4:15pm. There was quite a long line to be on the boat, so we were glad to be up front and have a good pick of seats. There is also a parking lot on site. This is a neat one time experience for out of town tourists visiting Naples. read more

This is the third time we've used this boat line for our Naples sunset Cruise. As usual they did not disappoint. They drove around many of the beautiful homes before the sunset. Dolphins were even spotted alongside the boat and they were sure to point those out to everyone. The narrator's on the boat pointed out homes of interest. They also discussed some of the history behind the homes and about the area. a lot of the narrators also discussed how many of the canals were created. They named the different channels of water and how they were created. They do have a limited bar service on board. The restrooms on board were very clean. The boat itself was extremely clean. All of the crew members were pleasant, helpful and informative. And of course it ended with a beautiful sunset. read more

I can not speak more highly of my deep sea experience today through Cruise Naples. Great time, professional crew, attention to detail. Our trip today was fantastic... everyone on board caught multiple groupers, six of which were "keepers" (20-inch+ beasts)... minimal prior experience needed, if any... these guys make it ridiculously easy for you. Dolphins trailed us the entire trip, jumping in the boat wake and hanging around us in general all day. Yes, this isn't guaranteed to happen all the time, and it certainly does scare some of the fish away, but truly adds to ambiance and adventure. All-in, great time, fantastic value. Trust me, these guides are so attentive, they help do absolutely everything for you from casting to baiting to luring and filleting.... even if you have zero fishing experience, you'll have a good shot at bringing home some huge fish with minimal effort. Perfect short sunset cruise for visiting family and friends. The staff is friendly, dressed in uniform and very professional. The boat is clean, has restroom, snacks and a bar. It is two story with inside and outside seating. They have several tours during the day to chose from. Loved: The best addition since the last trip we took was the piles of blankets they have for you to wrap yourself in, as when the sun sets, it is surely cooler than people expect Florida to feel like. Saw lots of Dolphins. DID NOT LOVE: There is NONSTOP speaking on the overhead microphone giving you some history but mostly too much trivial information on Naples. PLEASE, can we just enjoy the cruise? He FINALLY stopped when we got to Port Royal, and then on the way home they played Jimmy Buffet music. TIP: Look for coupons, found half off on Groupon. As long as you make reservations before the expiration date they will accept it. read more

pure naples or pure Florida is a really terrible and dishonest company. i called and made a reservation for my husband and i for our 22nd wedding anniversary. I had made the reservation a few weeks in advance and the customer service person took the entertainment book redemption code over the phone. He had me pay for one ticket and assured me the certificate was not necessary for us to get the one ticket free. He even spoke to a supervisor since he was unsure. At the end of the conversation he again assured me no certificate was necessary. when we got to the boat the agent letting us on insisted we pay for the second ticket. She was extremely aggressive and said without producing the certificate we were "not getting on the boat." so on our anniversary we did not get to have this experience. It was really upsetting. Then another two employees came and ganged up on us as well. We kept asking for a manager but there was no management at all. We tried to reason with the bulldog style agents but it was futile. They even threatened to call the police if we didn't stop talking to them. this should not happen. The email we received after the phone reservation said we were paid in full. Evidently there was no management available to handle their unruly and unkind employees.
