Nice and clean interior, with two egg/nest seats (the ones that hang from the ceiling, not sure how to describe). My smoothie was good and well blended (didn't feel too watery or clunky). It was perfect. I can't believe I paid over 10.00 for a 16 oz. smoothie (PURE BERRY), but at least it had the perfect consistency, not too sweet, and higher quality ingredients (I think). I enjoyed my smoothie and not sure what kind of health benefits there really is from this drink (they say there was whey protein in it but there's only like 11g). It was my first time at Pure Green and the male employee was attentive and assisted me with my online order. Today I opted for the Cauli-Power smoothie with cashew butter instead of almond. I was a bit hesitant paying $15.08 for one smoothie, the size wasn't even large at all it's equivalent to a small sized cup. I think it's extremely and ridiculously pricey just like everything in Lincoln Park, but it tasted good. I just wish for $15.08 I'd actually get a large sized cup lol. Was my cauli-power smoothie worth $15.08? Absolutely not! There was nothing significant about the smoothie other than the fact it had cauliflower in it. I'll just make it at home or stick to the smoothie spots I frequently go to in Edgewater. I can get three smoothies for $15.08 around my area. I go to the Fulton Market location in Chicago. Sometimes the bowl is full and other times it is not . The açaí bowl with hemp appears to be premade . In theory I love this menu . Love the options for açaí and oatmeal bowls and smoothies. Unfortunately the execution is just fair especially given the price you pay. My açaí bowl today was OK- I'v have better. What was disappointing is the banana on top was mushy and bordering on rotten- the fruit should have been fresher. I have been to at the location in Fulton Market a few times, but I visited the location in Lincoln Park for the first time a few days ago. To be clear, this review is only for the location in Lincoln Park. First, I enjoyed the smoothies and the acai bowls. I ordered the coconut chia acai bowl, the tropical breeze smoothie, the Pure Green Smoothie and the rockin beat cold pressed juice. I loved the acai bowl and think that it was good alternative to ones with strawberries that I usually order. The cold press juice was good, but, I'll be honest, it's an acquired taste. I happen to like beats and I don't mind the strong ginger taste. However, if this is not your jam, I would not order. I also liked the smoothies. Of particular note, I typically don't like green juice or green smoothies, but I enjoyed the pure green smoothie. It doesn't have that horrible grass like flavor that a lot of green smoothies have. Second, the ambience was super cool. The smoothie bar was well lit and clean. Plus they had plugs (including USB ports) at each of the tables for your phone. I also recommend taking a swing on their cage chairs, I might have looked a silly, but it was super fun. Third, the service was fast and friendly. My smoothies and açaí bowl came out super fast and the staff were very nice. In sum, this is a must visit spot. read more

I recently purchased a $100 gift certificate from their website and when the recipient tried to redeem it at the Broadway store they were told that there was an issue and they would not honor it. Before spring hits I like to do a juice cleanse. I did a 3 day juice cleanse (added some juice shots as well) and I was happy with the results. The juices had great flavor (even the green one). The cleanse actually left me feeling full and rejuvenated. It's something about doing these cleanses that help me sleep through the night which I love as well. Today there were two white workers who actively ignored one of my friends who is a person of color. This blatant racism should not be tolerated at all. First, they did not acknowledge her, gave her rude customer service, put other people before her (who were white). Put in mind most of the people who are in the area that go there are students who attend DePaul University, a place where racism is NOT tolerated and is taken VERY seriously. They are selling them as 20 ounce smoothies, but it was a 16 ounce smoothie for $10. There was very little flavor to the smoothie but it was made quickly and professionally. I would probably not go back, considering it's not a 20 ounce smoothie and the flavor was lackluster. Most of their smoothies have very few ingredients and they are expensive. Ellwood Thompson's is nearby which makes a much better smoothie at about the same cost. read more
