I was very impressed on my first visit to JuiceRx in Lakeview. While sitting there finishing my smoothie I had wished they opened a Juice Rx in my neighborhood, but perhaps it is a good thing because these smoothies are not cheap! I could easily see myself going to JuiceRx a couple of times a week, which would not be good for my pocketbook. Nevertheless, the next time I am in Lakeview I will be sure to stop by. I ordered the Maca Protein smoothie, which came to about $13.00. Yes, around $13.00 for a 20 oz. smoothie but the smoothie itself was delicious. The curated recipe allowed for the ingredients to complement one another, providing a blended smoothie that was almost harmonious. All of the ingredients blended so well so the tone and tempo was perfect. I don't think I have had a smoothie that was actually creamy in texture but this one was in its own way, and still easy to sip. There was not a trace of the smoothie left at the bottom of the cup when finished. For snacks with my smoothie I wanted something light and airy but with some density and discovered their Unbaked Cookies. I picked up the last container (4 qty) of the Unbaked Sugar Cookies. Made with all natural ingredients, the cookies were chewy and sweet, yet so healthy it made the experience all the better. Plus I like a list of ingredients that I can easily pronounce, see pictures in this review. The bite sized cookies were so tiny and I could easily see people popping one cookie in their mouth at a time, but don't be tempted. These bite sized cookies are worth taking a bite first to savor the goodness that each bite provides from this list of healthy ingredients. In terms of the store, it had a fresh and modern appeal to it compared to some of the other restaurants and shops on Broadway in Lakeview so it was nice to settle in to JuiceRx. They have also done a good job with making intentional use of the space, even in the restroom where there is a small counter to put your belongings. There are also few tables for seating as well as a small bar-like countertop area near the front window to stand or sit. read more

Amazing amazing açaí. When I tell you this was the most satisfying açaí bowl of my life I mean it!! I thought this price was overpriced (I mean, it kind of is) but it is definitely worth the price. I got the fruit alchemist & it was very big. This is the first açaí bowl I've consumed that has actually felt like I was eating a meal. I'm sure this goes for their other açaí bowls as well. The staff was amazing and very helpful. However, this place is a faux health front. Not even going to touch on the juices, as juice from anywhere is just straight up sugar. I'm more interested in smoothies, which even at big name places - like Smoothie King or PureGreen - are consciously filled with diverse sets of berries, greens, and fruits. The smoothies at JuiceRx are essentially healthier frapuccinos. The green smoothie, for example, tastes like birthday cake and doesn't have an enticing lineup of fibrous greens (instead opting for almond butter and avocado). Waste of time. This place used to be great when run by more professional staff/management. Get ready to wait 20-30 minutes for a smoothie or one slice of toast, (even when you're the only one waiting). For the past year or so, this location has turned into more of hang out spot for employees who are completely clueless. I avoid going in primarily because of the unpleasant staff. Love love love their Açaí bowls. I'm not a huge smoothie or juice person so I won't/can't speak on that, but they truly have some of the best bowls. I come probably once a week, and grab one because they're so good. It is around $14 which is a little much, however most açaí bowls are that price anywhere you go and are usually half the size. The only reason I really wanted to write the review was to emphasize how massive the bowls are and how much they put on top. I actually asked for a second cup cuz i could tell some would fall off once I dig my spoon in. I started going with my friend and just splitting one because they're fairly large. I love how they use all natural ingredients so you don't feel guilty after. I was really excited after visiting the first time. While I would consider it expensive for a smoothie, it was delicious and the size was great. However, after the second visit I am not as impressed. I ordered the same smoothie and it tasted nothing like the first one. Also, it was a smaller sized cup than the first one I ordered. It was a different staff so they probably are not all trained properly. I will not be back unless they can figure out their kinks. $12 is too much to gamble on whether your drink will be good. The first size was worth the $12. The second one, not so much, it was too small for what you pay. Also they charge a COVID fee. Disappointed. My response to owner since Yelp doesn't show it. Both drinks were filled with the drink until the lid since the employees put the lid on and then do the whip cream (which this particular drink comes with). Totally understand supply chain problems.
