We picked up a couple of pints of Yoberri at a farmers market for our girls' weekend. We opted to try the bourbon vanilla ice cream as well as lemon basil and champagne peach sorbets. The lady working the stand was very friendly and positive. Pints were $10 each. All of the varieties sounded really yummy. The flavors we got were okay overall. I think the lemon basil was my favorite - the basil flavor was really forward, but I liked that! My friends liked it less than me though. The peach sorbet was too icy and I didn't taste much champagne. The bourbon vanilla was just alright - the bourbon flavor came on late in the bite and was subtle, which was nice. Personally, though, I like a stronger vanilla flavor in my vanilla ice cream, more like a vanilla bean, which was what I was hoping for. All in all, I'd be down to try another flavor some other time if the opportunity arose. We poured Prosecco over the lemon basil sorbet and it was really yummy, so I'd recommend that too. read more

There's only a few flavors, and while the fro yo itself tastes good, it's a pay-by-cup + pay-by-topping system which leaves you with a full cup of expensive fro yo with like no room for toppings. Also, there's not THAT many toppings, the mochi was stale, and the place is empty and depressing with nowhere to sit. I don't mind the tartness of fro-yo in plan/vanilla, but never really like the taste of the flavored choices; since most places have a plethora of toppings, I don't feel like this is muck of a sacrifice, if at all. As I strolled home with my small vanilla and fresh strawberries, I couldn't help think Yoberri's fro-yo was delicious, almost too good to be true. It didn't taste the least bit tart (a good thing) or the least bit fat free (a really good thing). I was sad to see Treats close its doors, but Yoberri is a welcomed addition to the neighborhood. My only gripe is that it's pricey; my small one topping ran me $3.85 with tax. Flavor-wise, Yoberri has Red Mango and Starfruit beat, but I'd like to see them be a little more generous in the toppings department. I was really craving the standard plain/tart (with coconut/almond and honey). I went in and asked the young girl working if the plain was tart. She said yes, but never offered for me to try it. I went ahead and ordered---feeling rushed. The toppings were $1.75 even though I only got a small (2.95) and it ended up being over $6 for a tiny fro-yo. Price=meh. I also did not like that I couldn't put my own toppings on. Anyway, the taste was pretty bad. It has a super-weird after-taste. I'm not that big of a fan of frozen yogurt to begin with, it's an acquired taste (translation it's got fewer calories so it doesn't taste as good as say gelato), but as far as frozen yogurt goes, Yoberri isn't bad. They have standard toppings plus fresh fruit, etc. The space is clean and small with very few tables. Both whip out iPhones and touch the Yelp app. Oddly enough both stumble upon Yoberri. Sweet, open until 10pm! Driving there we realized that my Yoberri location and Julie R.'s location were completely different and we had been getting ourselves lost. With her natural sense of direction and the scent of frozen yogurt, we were lucky enough to walk through the doors of Yoberri exactly 4 minutes to close with their doors wide open. No heavy sigh or eye rolls from these fro yo servers. Happy to hand out samples and patient has we made our selection. Me: "What's plain taste like? How tarty is it?" Yogurt dude: "It tastes like Dannon yogurt." Thought: If I wanted Dannon yogurt, I'd buy it for 99 cents at Jewel. This was a silent thought. So I was surprised when I tasted my first spoonful of strawberry with lychee & mochi. Great balance of sweet and tart flavors. Mochi was a bit too mushy for my liking but I loved loved the fact that they offer lychee as a topping. My fro yo run cost me $4.83 for a small with 2 topings (75 cents each). How is it I'm the 2nd reviewer? Anyway. I love Yoberri. I'm pretty much addicted now. Natural frozen yogurt with fresh fruit? I am so there! The froyo is delicious. I love that I can get plain (which they explained to me is literally yogurt that's frozen) with fresh raspberries. They also offer vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry (I've had all flavors-what can I say, I'm a froyo junkie) with a huge amount of toppings. For me, those 4 flavors are plenty. When I'm feeling like being good, I have the plain yogurt with raspberries, and when I'm feeling like being slightly bad, I get chocolate with crushed andies mints (I find chocolate w/fresh raspberries to be delicious also). I'm definitely going to have to be careful with this place, or I'll balloon up! read more
