I walked into a surprisingly large space with hanging chairs to lounge in as you waited for your order. The staff member was working on my order, so I was able to give live feedback. She let me know they were out of cashew butter, so I had her sub peanut butter instead which was not preferable but I was glad I had the option. She also gave me a large amount of granola on the side in a smoothie cup. The bowl itself was ok but I would have preferred more bananas. I have been going to this location at Boerum place in Brooklyn and was always satisfied with the service and staff, until May 17, 2026 at 10:49Am. I stopped in to get a smoothie. when I walked in he was sitting down on his phone which was okay, but he got up and his attitude was horrible, he was so cold and I was so nice and cordial to him. ridiculously slow service every time I go. I always order on Uber eats 10-15 min before picking up because I'm usually heading somewhere immediately after. While yes I understand I shouldn't order if I'm in a rush, it boggles my mind that I can walk in 10 min later where there are no other customers in store and my smoothie has yet to be made. Then I stand there for 5 more min after I order avocado toast at the counter (not on Uber eats) and watch the two people working do everything but make smoothies. (Prep etc as well as watching one guy grab his phone with gloves on then proceed to touch fruits and vegetables that go into the avocado spread, smoothies etc.) Idk I'm just frustrated as someone who has worked in service. I've passed this place so many times and never thought to go in. I thought it was just another "green juice spot". Until one day, i really craved an açaí bowl and got on Google and this spot popped up in the searches. I decided to give it a try. I ordered the Pure Green smoothie. Generally speaking, I will order an eatery's namesake more often than not, but the Pure Green smoothie is also (happily) remarkably similar to the green smoothie I make at home most days. It's healthy, and it's tasty, and I recommend having one every day. You should also add spirulina to make it even better for you. The Upsides of Getting It Here (as opposed to making it at home): 1. I don't have to make it. 2. I don't have to clean the blender. 3. They have a sweet hanging chair thing to sit in. The Downsides of Getting It Here (as opposed to making it at home): 1. I have to put on pants.* 2. It costs $10.80** for one, as opposed to the same price for like 7. 3. They use too much ice. Some might be annoyed because ice is a filler, but I mostly don't like it because then I can't chug the entire thing immediately (brain freeze). Although the to-go cups are quite nice, this means I've got to walk around with a green smoothie for a while. This isn't a real issue, but I prefer to keep any sort of healthful decisions I make close to the vest. They need more employees. I have been a customer here for the past two years. I come at least once or twice a week to get an açaí bowl and the smoothies and bowls taste really good and the staff is really friendly. But I'm here right now on a Saturday at noon, and there are 10 customers in the shop right now, and only 2 employees who are running around, busting their butts to take orders and fulfill all the in-person AND online orders. I come here multiple times a week and they are always understaffed. It's always only one or two employees, which is hardly enough for all the orders they have to fulfill. And depending on how busy they are, they aren't able to fulfill the orders as well as they could under less chaotic circumstances, so then the quality of the products suffer because they're swamped. And they are doing the best they can -- I see them working incredibly hard. The people that work here are so incredibly hardworking, but the owner absolutely needs to provide them with enough support, especially on the weekends. It's not fair to these minimum wage employees who work here. Pay them more and staff them well. To understaff them like this all the time is unprofessional and unfair. read more

They have smoothies, oatmeal, acai bowls, avocado toast and pre-made cold press juice/shots. I ordered the "Tropical Breeze" (Pineapple, mango, pure coconut, agave, almond milk and orange juice) smoothie. While you wait you can sit on either stools, a couch or swinging latch chairs. They make the smoothies to order and call out the name of the smoothie. However, it would be better to call out the name of the person ordering it as you run the risk of skipping someone that ordered first. 4.5/5 stars I'm surprised this place doesn't have better reviews! Pure Green is a new clean and open-spaced health spot that does smoothies, juices and most importantly, acai bowls. I come here at least once a week during the weekend for an acai bowl after my workout next door. The staff here is relatively friendly, and while service isn't fast, I haven't had to wait long for my food. I usually get the Pure Health acai bowl with added protein and almond butter on top. It's delicious and definitely enough for two people as a snack. There's another spot that does acai bowls a few blocks down on Bergen but I recommend coming to Pure Green if you're looking for a sweeter version, while the one on Bergen tastes good, it definitely has a "earthy" and "healthy" taste to it. At around $12 -13 for an acai bowl with all my fixings, it's not exactly cheap, but as a once-a-week-treat, I think it's well-worth it! (They also play good music!) read more
