Theres also a recovery area and a cycling studio. The weights and boxing area are upstairs. Great set up with plenty of machines that cover every body part as well the squat racks and dumbbells. Cardio machines as well. The gym is nicely set up.

I am very sorry GymBox, London but this review may not be as positive as I would have liked. I…read morewanted to give the company a chance to rectify the situation offline, so that I did not have to share this publicly. I have been a loyal customer of Gym Box, Westfield for some years, as I like how it is a bit more upmarket than other gyms and I am happy to pay the higher Membership.  I have found the gym to be friendly by both staff and members, motivational atmosphere, great equipment and shower/ sauna facilities. I have never had a bad experience I have been paying £20 monthly for locker hire for 1 year, which may I add is the cost of a Pure Gym Membership. In this locker, I had £600 worth of items inside - brand new Adidas clothing with tags, trainers, toiletries, underwear, , weightlifting belt, weightlifting gloves, Cobra grips, supplements, etc some of which were items that I had just bought from Westfield. One day I went to the gym as normal and when I got to my locker, my padlock was cut open and all contents inside were missing. It turns out that the staff mistakenly cut open my locker. I was never notified about this until I found this myself. When I contacted the staff, I was told that it was an admin error, which meant they didn't add my locker to the list of permanent lockers. When I asked where my belongings were, they confirmed that they had given the items to charity. I'm not sure if this is entirely accurate, as there were a lot of sporting apparel inside my locker, but I can only go on what I am told by the staff members... I have asked to be compensated (in either a cash swap or additional free 12 months Membership) for my belongings, which totalled over £600 but they have refused and offered me three months membership. I find this utterly cheeky and does not reflect the value of the stolen items, whatsoever. This is less than half the value of my missing belongings. I am really upset that I am being treated like this and I do not feel like a valued member, considering I have been a loyal customer for some years. I have been completely understanding that a mistake was made, and I am only asking for them to rectify their own mistake. This back and forth has been ongoing since August, and it is now November with nothing more offered as compensation than a few months free membership which costs them nothing as it has no outlay or impact on overheads. I would love to have this resolved to my satisfaction as soon as possible as it has been ongoing for 3 months. I want to be able to train at the gym I love with no animosity and knowing that I am a valued member by the company.

They have all the top brands of sports wear, trainers, training tops, jackets etc and it is a complete jumble sale.... I guess it is a very competitive market place these days and by the looks of things these guy's are the cheapest. It is complete madness in the store as it gets loads of people clambering to pick up a bargain but for 10 minutes of hell it might just be worth it.

I went there a few days ago to buy a pair of football boots for my son's birthday. I walked in and saw a complete mass of clothes all squeezed on rails, looked like a stock room. Could just about push my small pram through there, how on earth could a person in a wheelchair get in there?!. Took 10 minutes to find a member of staff to tell me where the boots were(basement), another 10 minutes to find the lift (was misdirected and ended up having to circle around the whole ground floor again!)and another 10 minutes to find anyone in the basement to help me. I'm not an expert on football boots, i knew what type of pitch he played on and trusted that i would get the best advice. Got home, showed my husband and dad first and they came up with the same answer - they're the wrong ones!. Next day, went back for a refund and told that they now only offer exchanges or gift vouchers. First time i was told this! The manager came and finger pointed at the company's latest new policy on returns and exchanges (which now only applies in store not online), printed on a small scrappy piece of paper and sellotaped on the desk! She looked confused as to why i had not seen it before? maybe it was because it was so small even a pair of socks would have covered it, never mind a shoe box! or maybe the lady didn't explain or finger point at it before i handed over my card?! A simple clear sign up on the wall behind the desk, like most shops, would have got my attention and made me fully aware of the company's new policy before i bought the boots. Will never go there again, it was a complete joke.

There is a great push to sell membership and during that initial conversation they conveniently forget to give details that will effect your ability to cancel. They hide behind the terms and conditions (which you cannot view at that stage) yet they detail them all when you request cancellation. I wrote to explain why I thought that I should play only a month's notice rather than the 7 weeks that they want to charge me and received an email from one staff member to another saying 'Hi Pete, This woman is eating me alive! Any ideas?' Would you want to be a member of a club that treats members like that? I'd advise going elsewhere.
