The issues I've had here are with the staff. After coming in for my first appointment I was told that Dan would call to schedule my next appointments. I didn't hear from him. I finally called and was told that he was waiting for a script from my doctor and authorization from my insurance. I told him I had a script and we went round and round on the next step. I finally called my doctor and had them fax it over to them. Then I waited some more. It turns out my insurance now required authorization to continue. I called them and found out they had authorized it so I called back again to let them know. I finally was able to schedule my next appointment but 2 weeks had gone by. They also had a staff shortage going on so even though I was authorized there were no appointments available all week. My insurance only authorized it a limited time frame. Then I went on a planned vacation so I lost another week. My next appointment was with a young woman who did not seem to understand my issue - she had me do exercises that were really painful and did not help. The next few days I was in so much pain I could hardly move and had to add a knee brace which wasn't even an area that hurt before. I finally went back in and saw Dr. Janu and told him what had happened. He did a great job with appropriate stretching and exercises. The bad news? MY TIME WAS NOW UP with my insurance approval. LOL So they have to re-request additional time to continue. I don't really trust their front office staff to do it in a timely manner - so I doubt I'll get back in before the end of the year.

Whoever ran its account followed me and remained active as far as liking my posts and commenting. I really appreciated it and because of it, I've paid a visit and signed up. The first day, the employees were helpful and seemed very welcoming. I've signed up and the fee at the time was $35 a month. It was something that I could get with. I started going to the gym at least every other day around 6 a.m. because it's usually empty and I would get enough exercise in without worrying about being around others. It was cool for a minute. Then one day, due to the fact that I had be elsewhere earlier in the day, I've decided to go around noon where I know plenty of people were going to be around. When I walked in, I flashed my membership card so that no one can stop me and try to ask a million questions. The employees all had this weird look on their face. It was a look of "Who is he?" and "Does he even belong here?" You could cut the tension like a knife. It felt as if the record stopped once I walked in. Anyway, I walked straight to the locker room to get into my workout gear. No more than 2 minutes later, one of the employees, or who I believe is the owner, came in behind me. He walked around the locker room for at least 30 seconds. Then he pretended to use the bathroom because the urinals are right there as soon as you walk in. I didn't hear anything nor did he wash his hands, so my b.s. detector went off immediately. I've proceeded to go upstairs to begin my workout. However, 10 minutes later, I packed it all up because it was fresh in my mind. The next day, I called to cancel my membership. I had to pay an extra $35 for the next month, but I couldn't get down with what I felt, in which I believed that I was a target of discrimination. And even if it wasn't direct, I'm sure if I've stayed longer, it would've happened. Several times prior to going to this gym, I've called and the owner, I assume uses his private phone, answered. Each conversation felt very dry and he didn't even show no enthusiasm towards a new gym member. I had to get out of it quick because other than getting myself together, I would like to feel welcomed. Gyms are usually places where bonds are formed through the shared love of fitness. Here, it felt like I was a ghost...one who was visible, but unwanted.

Dr Swift preformed surgery on me with in the week. After surgery I met with Dr. Swift again and he spent time with me to help me understand my recovery. Assuming that it was just rotator cuff (pre-MRI), their staff was great and I regained most of my range of motion. When it didn`t continue to improve, an MRI was ordered and I had a fairly major surgery, disconnecting the biceps tendon and repairing the rotator cuff. Though my surgeon worked out of Henry Ford, I chose to return to Beaumont PT and they did not disappoint; in fact, I couldn`t be happier with the results! Recovery was projected to be six months. I started PT approximately a month post-op, and two months of PT later, I have regained FULL range of motion. I can do MANY things that I was unable to before the surgery! I still have home work on a daily basis, and there`s some (slight but expected) discomfort at times, but I never thought that I`d have healed this much, this soon. My surgeon was also very impressed with the progress I made, thanks for my care at Beaumont Physical Therapy. A heartfelt thanks to Gillian and Sean who provided my care. They are not only great therapists; they are genuinely concerned with the patient`s well being. As an added bonus, they are both wonderful people, who make the process fun! A year after being rear ended in an automobile accident, I still had chronic pain. The pain…read moreradiated from my neck to the tip of my fingers, along my shoulder blade and even into my elbow. I had completed 2 courses of physical therapy, been given pain medicine, had an MRI and nothing was taking away the pain. My doctor's solution was pain medicine. I prefer a drug-free approach to pain relief, so I requested to see a chiropractor. Hesitantly my doctor agreed. Dr. Kendall worked with my insurance company to get a global referral, after my physician's office said he was not covered. He made an immediate appointment for me and started cold laser therapy. The relief started quickly. I continued seeing him for several months as he continued working to realign my spine and relieve the pain. Throughout this time he managed the paperwork with the insurance company, keeping me out of it as much as possible. Even when the insurance company was not paying the bills Dr. Kendall continued my treatment and treated me with complete professionalism and respect. The insurance paid a portion of what was billed. Dr. Kendall considered that payment in full. Dr. Kendall is a gem. He has a personal attachment to his patients and cares about each one. He understands chiropractic medicine and believes he can help others with his 30+ years experience. He does not ask you to become a weekly patient for realignments. Simply to work with him to create a healthy schedule that will work for you. Every time I came into Dr. Kendall's office I was greeted immediately. No matter what. On more than one occasion, I arrived ahead of my appointment by at least 30 minutes. I still received attention without any wait. He is extremely conscientious of being considerate of other's time.
