We had questions and he had the answers. She definitely had top notch care in the ER. She was moved to ICU in the north building, and again she had top notch care with attentive and helpful nurses. The doctors that saw her were all very nice and explained what was going on and answered any questions we had. The north building is the newest addition to the hospital and the rooms are very nice. She then was discharged from ICU and moved to the ortho floor to await the insurance authorization for in patient therapy. The rooms are definitely older and not quite as nice. I didn't like that the couch and tray table felt sticky, probably from being cleaned so often. Her end of the bed was broken but it didn't affect anything as far as her care. She grew tired of the hospital food and at times some of it was cold. The food services department seemed to be well run and organized and everyone was pleasant and courteous. We liked that they came directly to the room on this particular floor to take her orders for lunch, dinner and breakfast. Housekeeping did a nice job of keeping her room clean. All in all, it was a decent stay for her. P.S. if you have the My Chart app on your phone, you receive the test results as soon as they're posted which is very helpful.

Nurse Practitioners Nikki and Manny have some of the worst bedside manner I've ever witnessed and experienced. These people are offended when you expect them to do their job with the utmost care and concern. They were rude and combative the entire time. My dad went an entire day without a feeding tube unbeknownst to me. They simply did not care. I'm really regretful that my father took his last breath here. Horrible staff. Only three ICU nurses provided proper care. The rest need to get into door dashing.

However, the patients are not employees. They don't get paid to provide a service. Staff should not match negative energy, not provoke up. A nurse yelling at a patient to "shut- up" should call under a zero tolerance policy. Employees should not be using profanity. Employees using profanity toward, with, or within ear shot of patients should be prohibited. Profanity is offensive and should not be the "normal" behavior within any place of business, especially where children are present, and people are ill. I've never been a part of an organization with this level of unprofessionalism.

Dr. Kenney and the nurses and respiratory techs (I can't remember all the names!) literally ran to him and six or seven people had to wrestle him to get the oxygen mask on because he was out of his mind. He was admitted (yes it takes hours, but while we waited for a room he was alive and getting treatment.) Turns out he had clots in his lungs and legs. They kept at it until they got an answer and fixed it. Four or five doctors were consulted on his case. Was it pneumonia? Was it a heart problem?, etc. While he was in the hospital he had neighbors who screamed at the staff calling them names and generally being crazy. There was another patient who attempted suicide and they got to him or her in time. There was another patient who barfed in the hall and said "F**k you'", well, you get the idea. Give them a break. It's a 12 hour shift and if you are polite they will bend over backwards to help you anywhere in that hospital. I've been there, my mom has been there my whole family, and they have always been helpful and have gotten to the bottom of things. Be polite. More flies with honey and all that. Grow up. Cut the entitlement crap. My fiancé's PCP came every single day of the ten days he was there.

My wife has a level 9 pain and we were told to rush to the ER. They promised to get her some Tylenols while we waited and it's been over an hour and they seem bothered every time I ask for an update on the Tylenol. The employee who we are dealing with is Claire T. She refuses to give us updates or a Tylenol and seems annoyed every time I ask. She suspected I took a photo of her and within minutes a PA, an RN and multiple security personal were available to address this "pressing" issue. They couldn't find anyone to get my wife a pain killer for over an hour or see us for 5 hours but had no problem providing an RN for over 20 minutes to discuss their policies relating to photos. I do not recommend this place. Other ERs in the area don't have wait times and are much more helpful. Update: it's now 6 hours and we haven't seen a doctor yet. The essence of Havenwyck altered my life in the best way possible I came there when I had nobody, my mother had passed a year before I lived with my sister who became a drug addict and I was put in foster care at 13 and a year after being there my father was murdered, and I was made aware of it. I was completely alone no family no nothing and HW became my family. I will reiterate it if it wasn't for Havenwyck, I would certainly be 6 feet under or locked away in 4 x 4 cell and everyone's experience might not be the same but for me it was life altering.

I was in Mod A and this place helped me get back on my feet on my right mind. I thank both the staff and the fellow patients for being the joy back into my life. It is very strict and regimented but it's for a reason. I would recommend this place to anyone going through a very hard time.
