The hot satay chicken toast here is pretty good. It has chicken, super grains, slaw and coriander with peanut dressing in a toasted wheat bran wrap. It's a good combination of vegetables and meat and the flavor is good. read more

I ordered a regular peanut butter protein smoothie, which is pretty delicious I have to admit and been a long time favourite of mine, but even I had to admit for the size, £4 was pretty steep. All in all, if you're expecting a bargain this place isn't it, but if you need some healthy food and are prepared to pay a bit more than usually Central London prices, go for it.

Perhaps they have lost all motivation after being made to wear t shirts saying something along the lines of 'ferocious tossing in progress' Nightmare
I think I'm addicted to salad from The Willow. I end up going there for lunch at least once week…read more I'm not sure I've ever seen salad as comfort food, but here it definitely is. They normally have 5 salads on the go and you get to choose which ones you want in a box. I normally go for all five! It's much more interesting stuff than just lettuce, tomato, onion, cucumber - the salads often contain roast squash, gnocchi, seeds, lentils, broccoli and lots of other nutritious ingredients. I normally go for the large box (£5.95) but the medium (£3.95) should be enough for most people. They also do freshly made soup for £2.50, and a soup+medium salad combo for (£5.95). The people who run it are very friendly too. The only down side is that the salad is so good, by peak lunch time (1pm) the queue can be 10-15 mins long. I try to beat it by getting there at 12:15, but even this tactic doesn't always work.

But enough about Whole Foods, I'm writing a review for Chop'd! I love salad bars...Why? Well I'll be honest with you, I'm lazy and hate buying and chopping everything up to make my own salads at home to bring to work - also I always forget to bring dressing and putting it on in the when you're making it makes it soggy by the time you're eating it. Thank god for Chop'd and it being 5 minutes from work. Long lines but they go quick - the staff are great. Prices are decent (under £6), portions are HUGE, bonus - skip getting a carry bag and get an extra veg for your salad!

You can pick as many garnishes as you wish herbs and nuts and croutons and tortilla chips. There are about ten dressings to pick from the yogurt and mint is yum and so is the balsamic. The Refreshment Room at the Deli Downstairs provided the answer. Amazing Croque Madame (only quibble would be the fried egg was a leeetle bit underdone), a bacon sandwich on really good bread with nice thick bacon and two yummy flat whites. We sat outside on recycled tables, drinking from re-purposed yoghurt pots (the posh terracotta French kind- not plastic pots!) and admired the selection of tea towels they had for sale. Service was fast and friendly, the food tasty and filling and the whole thing cost less than £15. Two happy campers!

My partner and I ate dinner there on Wednesday night and we were not impressed. To start, they seated us at a two-top directly next to another couple when the rest of the place was empty except for a lone customer completely on the other side of the room. When we moved ourselves to a table facing the window (a four-top), we were told we could not sit there because it was "booked." As I said, the place was almost empty. During our entire meal only a few more people came in and we certainly could have sat where we desired without preventing people from being seated. Then, we were treated to the surly manners and weak customer service skills of the waiter. I did not catch his name. When I asked if one of their nightly specials was made with any butter or cheese and explained that I'm lactose intolerant, he gave me the stink eye and barely understood. Another server had to come over and asked me to repeat myself and then kindly asked the kitchen staff, who confirmed I was safe to order. The same waiter was unfriendly throughout, and had to be asked for the bill three times. I went ahead and got the special, a supposedly home-made tagliatelle with salmon, courgette, and cherry tomato. My partner got the calzone rustica. Thankfully my dinner did not contain any lactose. But it was bland, and the pasta did not taste the way I'm used to fresh-made pasta tasting. I needed to add salt and pepper to the dish, and it still lacked much flavor. On the bright side, I was able to take half home and make another meal out of it the next day, spicing it up with some garlic, herbs, and a fried egg. My partner's calzone had a nice, yeasty bread and was huge, but the ingredients were low quality-tasting. Cheap ham like Sainsbury's basics and not enough tomato sauce. Overall the food and service were not worth £12.95 (mine) and £9.95 (my partner's). The raw wooden benches aren't comfortable, and the music didn't help. We won't be back.

We'd walked by this place on our way to our date-confused appointment thinking it looked interesting. And rarely have I been more ok to have steak-related plans fall through on me! Such a lovely little place - it feels really local and friendly, the staff were so so nice, and the pizza was fantastic! Huge as well - I was tempted to take the hour's walk home just to work some of it off, but my own fault, it was too good to leave any pizza behind. The house white complimented the meal perfectly and felt like a real steal at the price. I may not often have a reason to be in the neighbourhood, but I could definitely be convinced to make the trip again!

I went to Chop'd for the first time today and I really enjoyed my meal…read more Chop'd is a salad place and they do it well. While thy have ready made stuff like wrap soup etc for me their USP is that you can make your own salad from the tons of fresh ingredients. Start with a base - deli leaves, couscous or pasta, add upto 3 toppings or house items (4 if you don't need a bag), one main deli item like mozzarella or chorizos or roast chicken, could even double up and then add sundries and garnishing and finish it off with a choice of dressing. They have a wide variety of ingredients so the number of permutations and combination that you could try out is probably a million different. I would like to mix different things up and try out, I feel that it will never be boring unlike the other traditional pre-made salad places. The staff were helpful and guided me through the process and the meal is reasonably priced (under six quid for a standard salad). My salad has a deli leaves base with eggs, chopped onions, mixes peppers and Jalapeños. For the deli side I chose Chorizo and Roast chicken and garnished with some corriander and finished it with classic cease dressing. The salad was super tasty and all ingredients were of top notch quality and I for one is going to be a regular. 4 stars only because of the long wait time today but it will not deter me! PS: found out just now that they have an app and you can order your food online and it will be kept ready for you when you get there!
