A dear friend of mine brought me to this place and I loved it. So much attention to detail of the food that is served there. An opportunity to feel alive again. Great Vegan buffet and I was so surprised by the sugarless deserts. The Apple pie is just wonderful. Whenever I'm back in London I will definitely be back there. Keep up the great work!

Absolutely fantastic vegan place. After a long night at first I was dismayed at the prospect of having to put a meal together myself rather than relying on the expertise of a chef, but that changed with the first bite. Every single thing of the 10 different ones I picked was rich in flavour and, crisp where it needed be, and norishing. Easily most memorable hangover cure

The service was great, and you pay by weight, so the prices were very reasonable.

What an incredible concept! Food and drinks: I was very pleased with the bruschetta (pear and honey lavender was amazing, even workout the cheese) and the vegan cannelloni, which is a lasagna-like dish that replaced meat with lentils and managed to taste creamy and rich without dairy. I was less enthusiastic about the bread assortment (some were good, others a bit dry) and the blue algae coconut latte (which was interesting). Ambiance: The restaurant is quaint and cozy. We made reservations, which weren't necessary but no harm. Tip: You do have to take narrow stairs to go to the bathroom so careful! Service: Our waiter was attentive, patient, and helpful. He talked me through all the ways to stay dairy free. We didn't feel rushed either. This place needs to exist. Full stop. I would absolutely return!

Good, a bit sweet. Messy to eat. 3/5 Truffle fries - good but average 4/5 Polenta - very tasty, a must. 3/5 Duck and waffle - I expected this to be bigger but it was good. I normally prefer chicken but the duck wasn't bad. All the food was decent and the staff were all nice. It's unfortunate that the walk to the restaurant passes by the smelly toilets. Also there was only one lift working that day so it took a little time to get up/down.

I've been looking forward to visiting Duck & Waffle for quite some time. The views are incredible,…read morethe space itself is striking, and on paper it promises that perfect London mix of skyline, late-night energy, and elevated comfort food. Unfortunately, our experience was soured before it even had a chance to begin. My girlfriend and I walked in excited, completely amicable, simply hoping to head upstairs for a bite and drinks. We were greeted by the doorman with an immediate, dismissive "Are you good?" -- not in a welcoming or helpful tone, but in a way that felt skeptical and unnecessarily confrontational. There was no warmth, no "welcome in," no attempt at hospitality. It immediately set an uncomfortable tone. He then proceeded to call upstairs as though he were doing us some sort of favor just by allowing us to go up. The entire interaction felt transactional and judgmental rather than gracious. First impressions matter, especially at a place that positions itself as a premium dining destination. Hospitality begins at the door, not at the table. When we finally made it upstairs, the room was filled with visibly drunk, rowdy groups -- which only made the earlier attitude feel even more misplaced. If that environment is acceptable (and profitable), then two polite guests looking for drinks and food shouldn't be met with suspicion at the entrance. By that point, the damage was done. The initial interaction had already rubbed us the wrong way, and the energy upstairs didn't help. We ultimately decided to leave before even sitting at our table. That's how strongly the first impression impacted us. It's difficult to justify staying somewhere when you don't feel genuinely welcomed from the outset. Duck & Waffle has the potential to be memorable for all the right reasons. But someone representing the brand at the very front needs to understand that hospitality isn't optional -- it's foundational. A simple, respectful welcome would have changed everything. I hope management takes this seriously, because no guest should feel judged or dismissed before they even step inside.

Portion was huge, and easily shareable. Delicious!! Service: It was ok. We waited in line for a really long time (more than an hour) but we were checked on from time to time. Once we were seated and ordered, no one really checked in, but we asked if we needed something. Ambiance: Cute outdoor seating. In door seating was okay. Reservations get to go into a back room which seemed nicer. Lovely side street in a crazy busy popular area. It's a solid 4.5 stars for what it is because the food was so good. I'd return. The flavors are the closest to the authentic Latin creations I grew up eating, yet also manage to add their own unique and delicious twists to make them pop even more. The ingredients are carefully selected, paired well, and cooked to perfection to make every dish unforgettable. For my first run, I tried the Seared Braised Beef with julienned crispy potatoes, which reminds me of the Lomo Saltado we do in California. The beef is tender and succulent, salty & flavorful, and topped with sliced roasted veggies. The crispy potatoes are amazing, too, but I wish there had been more. This is also the first restaurant I've been to in London that serves fried yuca (cassava) since I moved here... and that was more than 4 years ago. If you're hungry, get this as your side. Brownie points to them for using truffle oil to give them that little extra flair. The drinks don't disappoint, either. Their cocktails are utilizing "better" versions of Latin spirits (think Fair Quinoa Vodka), which means they're slightly pricier but also offer a more varied experience. The wine list is also plentiful, so pick your poison. Given the lively nature of its environment, it's definitely a restaurant for the social experience. However, reservations in advance are strongly recommended, whether you're coming alone or in a group. The ONLY downside I could find about this place was their complete lack of alternative milks. So, if you want something other than dairy to go with your tea or coffee, you're out of luck. In my case, I ended up opting for their Espressini cocktail with Fair Trade Coffee Liqueur instead. I know. What a sacrifice.
