This place was sent to my home through my home warranty and I will NEVER use them again. Bonnie was HORRIBLE. They showed up to our home took our equipment on June 30th said they would have our pool pump back and diagnosed by July 3rds. They took the pump completely from our home never gave and information to contact them back, I had to reach out to our home warranty to find the number to reach them. Our pool service lady said NEVER TO USE THEM!! My husband called the number we were given they said they would come back on Sunday July 5th between 3-7. That Sunday I got a text from a random number at 12:30 that my backyard needed to be unlocked and the tech was on the way. When I called , I was trying to explain that I wasn't home and since I had no information about what they were fixing I wasn't comfortable with them showing up until I was home. Bonnie kept interrupting me and said "so who's gonna talk " then when telling her that he needed to stick to the time they scheduled she said she would reschedule for the next day then hung up on me. I called back and she then refused to pick up called my husband and continued to text me that I can deal with my husband. She will not pick up when I call she said they did me a favor. If I could give them negative stats I would . Do not use them . I'm not sure how they are still in business or how Bonnie still has a job there. read more

Terrible customer service. I purchased a salt cell and installation from them. I spoke with Bonnie who told me the part had a 5 years warranty. I have that on text. The salt cell stopped working months after. I contacted them and they told me to deal with the manufacturer, the salt pool store. The manufacturer asked for a proof of purchase which I did not have and had to go back and forth and request from Bonnie. Then the manufacturer said they need to have the purchaser fill out a claim form. Bonnie told me I had to deal with them. I filled out the claim form on her behalf so I can get my salt cell. The manufacturer stopped responding. Never sent a new salt cell and Bonnie said she contacted them and they weren't responding to her either. So she told me to deal with them directly. Manufacturer will not respond and Bonnie is saying it's not on them. I will never use them again. read more

Pure Pools came to us through AHS. They replaced our pool pump motor. However, unbeknownst to us, Pure Pool also replaced some pipes around the pool equipment which was water tight before they started the work. The pipes they replaced, which was not apart of the work order and done are leaking terribly. read more

This is the worst company anyone could choose. I made the mistake of utilizing my home warranty and they chose to send this vendor out to provide me warranty work. They steal your money and break your pool equipment and then try to charge you for it. Home Warranty backs them up. I called about a leak, they took 3 hours to fix a handle on the pool equipment that was NOT the cause of the leak and left. They then harassed my pregnant wife with phone calls and texts. I came home to find my wife in tears, my pool equipment had no power and the pool was still leaking. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, they should be in JAIL for fraud. I doubt they even have a license. Like many other reviewers, this company was sent out by the home warranty company to repair my pool heater. They never fixed my pool heater, and instead, tried to charge me for an unnecessary part that did not fix the heater. When I complained that they hadn't fixed the problem, they claimed that they were coming out to install a new power element in the heater, but instead they came and uninstalled the unnecessary part and ruined my heater in the process. Now my heater does not even come on. Do not under any circumstances use this company, and if AHS tries to send them out, ask for another contractor. Notice the pattern of complaints from other reviewers - they make unnecessary repairs, do not fix problems, claim that things are not covered, break equipment to charge you to fix it - it's a pattern. read more

They were quick to respond to my quote and to schedule install. They quoted me a few heaters and said they got the $400 gas rebate. I asked to upgrade to the Cupronickel Nickel version for durability. They said they would send my invoice so I could submit for the rebate. Turns out it does not qualify for the rebate since it is slightly less efficient. When I brought this to their attention I figured they would apologize and maybe offer to split the difference. Clearly they were not aware. instead they blamed me for upgrading... super disappointed with their response, certainly not customer service oriented. I guess Buyer Beware, I should have verified the rebates, even though they work in the industry and should know.... If they just said they did not know I probably would have been OK, instead they made excuses. to make things worse, they heater was not installed to code. They did not not ground, they did not paint the PVC black as required so I painted it. All in all poor installation. When I asked them to come back to install the ground, they did not keep their appointment, and make an excuse about ordering parts. Obviously any installer is going to have basic wiring, if not there is a Home Depot around the corner. I called them out on the BS excuse, and they admitted they took a different job that was more important. Had they just said, we needed to prioritize a different job, we can come another day that would have been OK. Making up excuses, not OK. I for sure would not recommend this company. You will get sub-par service, and will face excuses if you ask to make them right. Very disappointed. read more

Beware!!!!!!!!! Our home warranty company referred these people to us since we needed replacement of our pool filter. They are crooked as a three dollar bill. They wanted to charge us over $1300 extra to replace the whole filter or they would just put a few parts in the mechanism and call it done. I wish I could give zero stars. The most terrible and unprofessional service I've ever experienced in my life. The guy who came to inspect my non working pool pump was extremely rude and talked down to me like I was a child. I had my pool cleaner explain in detail what was wrong so I could relay and he clearly didn't want to hear it. He was lazy and didn't want to pull out the grids that were obviously broken and I had to tell him to replace the seal, which he didn't even look at as a problem when expecting. It clearly was one of the problems. They also refused to replace the grids until I received my warranty approval. I did such that and my warranty company asked me to reach back out directly to schedule. I have the email to prove it. The coordinator lady started yelling at me and refused to come back out and said the problem was fixed on their end. That's clearly not true because my claim is still open for repair by the warranty as I had followed up with them. She hung up on me after I told her I sent her the details from the warranty company to call back directly. How's that for professional!!?? Run Away!!! They have a 2.0 rating on yelp and facebook. They came out and told me that all grids and manifold in my pool filter had to be replaced as they were all broken and after getting their full money from my insurance company First American they informed me that everything was replaced and old parts were thrown in trash ! Upon arrival it was determined that nothing was replaced by two different pool men and there were no old parts In our trash cans . We let out insurance company know of this scam and they also sent another technician that also confirmed that no work was ever done ! Good luck if you get these people. First off the woman that you deal with on the phone is a rude eastern European woman. We were assigned them by AHS, and as you probably know, the companies who get assigned are usually ones with low ratings on Yelp and other places. Our pool pump was loud and leaking, they came out and changed the gasket in 10 minutes, as soon as he left a horrible screeching noise was coming from the pump, they refused to come back out. They claimed "noises" weren't covered. It wasn't just a noise, we couldn't use the pump at all, everything was so much worse after he left. she tried every excuse not to come out, we went back and forth with the appeals process with AHS, finally I just refused to work with these pool people, they were so bad. AHS agreed to send out a new company at no cost to us to rectify this. Beware of Pure Pools, have your ducks in a row and have your documentation ready, they will only do the minimum and not stand behind their work. Real bad company. I am sure "Svetlana" will be posting a rebuttal to this comment, but you can read between the lines, BEWARE. ADDENDUM: Our new pool repair person, found the problem, we need a new pool pump, and the previous pool people should have caught that and taken care of that problem right then and there. As mentioned by other reviewers (I feel you pain, guys!) these losers are used by the Home Warranty companies (scam business in its own right) basically to collect your "service fee" and deny the claim in all possible way - I guess that is how they earn "credibility" with shady home warranty companies. In my case, the guy briefly "inspected" pool equipment and stated it "was in poor shape". What a surprise for the units constantly exposed to blazing sun 10-12 hours a day. Even though everything is working, that "reason" was promptly used by the so-called home "warranty" provider to immediately deny the claim on the basis that the equipment was not in "good working order". These guys are horrible. Beaware .... they are assigned by the Insurance company. The guy came and fixed and replaced my filter top. #1 - mysteriously the pump right next to it stopped working. I cannot prove it but he did something to the capacitor that I had to call someone else to come and fix #2 - he fixed the leak in the back wash by putting in a new gasket and now the level is stuck and won't move. I believe the technician name was Francisco or something like that. I have been trying to get help for the technician to come and fix his mistake and all I am getting back is angry text back. I've had ups and downs with First American Home Warranty, that's for sure -- but this time, I have to give a full five stars -- I've never had a warrantied service covered so quickly and easily. Basically, our pool motor died. I put in the request, and I got a call *literally* 5 minutes later. She had me text her photos of the pump, and the next day, Francisco came out to see if he could replace it with the pump he had on the truck. My pump, though, needed to be a different/higher-end one, and so he went back, put in the order (this was a Friday), and came out today (Wednesday) and put it in. He was friendly, quick, and, given that the pool system is working well now, did it properly. The scheduling was easy, and communication was good. Can't guarantee you'll have the same results, but I was happy with Pure Pool! read more

Another horrible experience with Pure Pools. These guys have got to be the bottom feeders of the home warranty racquet. My pool heater stopped working and the service light came on as well as the pressure light. We called First American Home Warranty and put in a claim. Of course they assigned it to Pure Pools. We already had a shitty experience with Pure Pools and had braced ourselves for the mountain of bullshit. Pure Pools calls to set up and appointment and we get the appointment set and they are a no show. Then all of a sudden like three days later a guy shows up unannounced that he's here for the pool heater. Ok so he takes it apart and says that the heater isn't working because of low water pressure. Then he looks at the pressure gauge on my filter and tells me that I need my filter cleaned because the pressure is way too high. So I ask him, "Pick one, my pressure is too high or it's too low? You don't get both." So he opens up my pool heater and says that the ignition module is burnt out. Ok fine. He said he'll make a report to the home warranty and be back to us. So we're waiting and we check back in the First Am and the claim has been closed. The report is that the pool heater is "insufficient capacity" for my pool. Now some history. The previous owner of our home was a pool contractor and he spared no expense on the pool. We have owned the house for 20 years and have had zero issues with the heater until 4 years ago (see review below) and now. Surprisingly, last go around there wasn't anything said about my pool heater being insufficient. Needless to say, I'm not sure who has the biggest shovel of bullshit, either Pure Pools or First Am, but neither will be unscathed in this round. DO NOT USE! My Spa stopped working the first week of December. Called my warranty service, they sent these guys out. They diagnosed the issue as being the heater. They called once to get some info and haven't heard from them in over a week. Got an email saying my claim was denied as a pre-existing issue. I called these scammers asking how, since this is their first time servicing my spa, they knew my issue was actually there prior to October 15th. She tried to say the heater hasn't been working since then, but the spa has just retained it's heat... For close to 2 months... She then hung up on me and now won't pick up the phone. Tried to call back 5 times over the next few hours, no answer, either immediate voicemail or ring through to voicemail. Again, DO NOT USE THESE THEIVES.
