I have had AMAZING massages here and that led to my impulsively purchasing lash extensions. What I got instead were individual, hard plastic lashes glued directly to my eyelid with large clumps of glue. These were not actually lash extensions, nor how lash extensions are to be applied. They looked awful and HURT. When I called the owner Tami (she had done the application) she was dismissive, told me she was booked solid so she couldn't/wouldn't remove them and if I didn't like them to simply rub coconut oil on them to remove. She stated she had no remover, that she also used oil. This didn't even come close to working. Luckily, I was able to contact an actual professional elsewhere who was horrified on my behalf and spent a painstaking hour using remover and warm heat to remove the lashes. Nope...just nope! I've been getting Brazilian's for over a decade and this has been the worse by far. Tammi made me hold my own "junk" while she waxed me. I've never had an esthetician not touch me during a waxing. As a result, there were several spots that were missed. I dread getting tweezed during the process but I know it's a necessity, she didn't do that. I've also never had a esthetician not wax all the way back (if you know what I mean). In addition to the Brazilian, I also got my full legs and underarms waxed....all of them very badly done. I had a pedicure done at another location and the technician was in shock that I just had my legs waxed because they were still extremely hairy. She uses crap wax, she rushes through the job, she has a horrible tableside manner and she lets her dog run around the shop which I find completely disgusting. The only positives were that she was able to accommodate my schedule and she was relatively inexpensive; now I know why! read more

My friend and I bought the head-to-toe package on Groupon. We were extremely satisfied! The facial and hot stones were so relaxing. I also loved the mani/pedi. Anna is such a sweetheart and does a great job. All of the staff had great suggestions for things to do while in the area. We also enjoyed getting to meet Blue the dog. If I could give a 0 I would! I am not one to complain or even write reviews but my experience at Pure Spa in Ft Walton was beyond awful! The owner, Tammy, did a horrible job on my eye lash extensions and half of them fell out the next day. When I came in to ask for a refund she gave me so much attitude and said no one complains about her lash extensions. Well, Mine were clearly half gone and she said I must have picked at them. Why would I do that after paying 100 dollars the day before!? She is the owner and could have been understanding and given me a refund but instead she argued at me saying I was wrong . She is the owner! What happened to good business ethics and client service in that place. I will never go there again and recommend you to never visit that spa. I made an appointment based off of reviews on the Spa's website that praised the waxer. I moved to the area around 5 months ago from a larger city where I was regularly waxed at The European Wax Center & Loved all of the ladies I went to. The product the used were formulated specifically for the company and was great! I went into this place expecting professionalism, fast hands and a good attitude. What I got was a far cry from that. I am a woman of color and was months past due, so I did a little grooming prior to arrival to make it a little easier & the desired length of hair was told to me by the lady who answered the phone. Once I was there & ready for my Brazilian waxing I was horrified at the way the lady was speaking to me and acting. She was very negative and complained the entire time about my curly hair and direction of hair and she did not stop the entire time! Once all was said and done, she was not as thorough as other waxers have been in the past, i was in pain and days after my skin began to react to ingrown hairs although I use great follow up products from my past waxwings and I exfoliate. I usually go here with my busy schedule and they always find the time to fit me in for just eye brows idk if it's because usually I'm a walk in, first few times she did a awesome job and now ever time I go..she just doesn't do a great job, I paid 125$ for eyelashes and eyebrow wax and tint the tint was uneven and my eye brows weren't even shaped. I'm super disappointed with the eye lashes, especially since there suppose to last 3-6 weeks it hasn't even been a week 75% of them have fallen off, plus they are synthetic lashes..just wasn't worth the money. I got my nails done here while ago, and requested half of a refund because within 3-4 days half of them broke because they were too thin, I believe ever since then...I've been giving the business the benefit of the doubt because Chris customer service and willingness to schedule me to accommodate my availability was superior. Just didn't appreciate being chewed out as if i was a child my last walk in for scheduling an appt prior not showing, although it was inconsiderate on my behalf worked 24hr and over slept I sincerely apologized..she just kept on.///it just wasn't a great walk in../now I'm here close to Valentine's Day I look complete mess and I'm out of town. only reason I'm giving 5 stars is for the customer service from the other Staff. read more

I would like to start with the fact that this is my very first time writing a review about a business, but there is just too much wrong with Pure Spa. I worked at this spa for only a couple of months because I was appalled by the treatment of clients and employees alike. I am not writing this review because I'm bitter, I am really warning anyone and everyone; DONT DO IT! The reason the prices are so low is because the owner, Tami, cannot keep clients coming back. She never gives the amount of time she advertises for, cutting facials by over half sometimes. And the massage therapists get in trouble if they give the full hour massage. Her manicures, especially gel polishes, do not last for even a week. And I wont even describe the quality of her acrylic nails... its laughable. The spa is not sound proof at all and you can hear Tami cackle anywhere in the building. Relaxing huh? To add insult to injury she talks badly about almost every client that walks through the door. If you think your tip makes it to all the techs that work on you, think again. One time in specific 2 clients left $90 to be split between 4 people. Tami kept $60 of it and split the other $30 between the other 3 people. The spa is under investigation by the Florida State Board because she had a gentleman working as a massage therapist who was not licensed, anywhere. Not even not in Florida (which would still be illegal) but did not hold any form of a valid license. Tami is cheap, a bad technician and an even worse business owner. read more

Absolute worst customer service I've ever experienced in my life. The owners are straight up liars. I would never recommend giving them any money. I was a loyal customer for awhile and had booked an appointment a few months out because I am in the military and was going to be away at training. Unfortunately, they booked the appointment for while I was gone. This was obviously a miscommunication on their part, I would not book an appointment while I was away at military training. I was out away from communication so when I returned I called to explain there had obviously been a miscommunication, I had booked the appointment for my return but that was not their understanding. We agreed it was a misunderstanding and we rebooked the appointment for a later date. When I showed up for that massage, I was told that I did not have a massage booked at all and that I had to pay for the missed appointment. These people do not supper the military, they apparently can not make any mistakes, and they straight up tricked me into coming into the office to pay. If I owe someone money, I will pay it. But you need to straight up tell me. Don't lie to me. It's absolutely shady, pathetic and dishonest. These people do not deserve to be in business! read more

Have been here only once and most likely will not return. The lady working there (I don't know her name) seemed very confident as she said she has been doing waxing for 12 years. I was very confident that she would do an amazing job. My friend got a bikini wax and it only took 5 minutes. I was shocked on how fast it took! At that point I was happy, until I got my wax. I came in just to get my upper lip waxed and as soon as a laid down she asked "do you want your eyebrows waxed too?" She said it in a rude way. I said not today and she moved onto my lip. She did it in a minute and I was shocked. Usually my waxer will make sure she got every little hair even if it means plucking the stubborn ones. She didn't give me a mirror to look into and I walked out with wax still leftover on my lip. When I got into the car I looked at my lip and there were two huge patches of hair left!! I don't understand how she could've missed that. I was very disappointed on how careless she was. You could tell she just wanted us out of there as soon as possible since she had another client waiting behind us. read more
