My wife has been encouraging me to get the "guy" facial, and today I finally did so. Boy, when she's right, she's right! She booked a spa day for the two of us. Mine included a massage, facial, and pedicure while hers consisted of a facial and manny/peddy. Nicole was my masseuse and her almost 20 years of experience were evident. I was so relaxed afterward that I could hardly get off the massage table. Then, Anna gave me a facial that left my old rough face thoroughly refreshed and the cherry on the top was my pedicure. Can't say enough about the fine folks at Pure Spa. And, despite all the bitchin' and moanin' about the up front tip, I found it good to not have to worry about who to tip, when and how much. And, for those who can't accept a good thing, the web site clearly informs everyone about their policy. So quit whining, y'all! read more

Horrible service. Owner is a scammer. I asked for a refund & she lied to groupon saying the services were complete, so I couldn't get a refund. As soon as I walked into the salon, I was not greeted. I had to walk to find someone to check in & waited 20min for a set appt before requesting a refund. The owner is a trashy liar. ALSO, they charge $25 for tip before the services are done. Quite a few bad reviews from this Tami lady. We have contacted law enforcement so if you think you will keep our money for our spa day without having to do any services your wrong. We have contacted Groupon and we have started the refund process. We also have two witnesses that were there aka the cops. That know there was no services going on at the time frame that was supposed to be. I have read your other reviews so I know you will have some mean and smart to say so let me help you cover the basics. You can't charge a tip before services are done . It not legal or ethical secondly if the tip was due up front 20 percent of 220 is 44not 88 as you stated. We will take this to court if Groupon does not refund money back for the services we did not use. On the Groupon you need to list your prices for the spa for the tip if you expect customers to pay for the Groupon then pay full price for the full services packages this should be listed on the Groupon and it was not unless you go to the website. But even then 20 percent would not be 88 dollars. The law has been called so since you locked the doors when I came back to talk to you we could not go through how the refund would be issued since you marked the groupon as used. read more

I have gotten a few facials from other places and this was by far the worst experience and it has made me never want a facial again. My skin looks and feels horrible. When I went to discuss how unhappy I was with the results, I was told to pay for another facial. I'm disappointed because I had let her know I had an event I was traveling to and was hoping for a fresh face and ended up looking HORRIBLE. I have never had this kind of reaction and would have never gotten the facial if I knew this was part of the healing process. I was told I'd look great after a few days and new fresh skin within a week. That is not the case and I am now anxious about ever getting another facial again! I can only hope my skin isn't permanently damaged and will be seeking out a dermatologist's opinion on how my skin was treated. read more

Such an amazing experience! I am in Florida from out of town and needed my lashes done BADLY! It had been a month since I saw my lash lady. I was able to schedule an appointment ASAP and the appt was so quick! I've never had any lashes done that fast and have them look so good! I'm sad I'm leaving Florida and will never see her again because this was an amazing deal and amazing experience! Highly recommend her for your lashes!!! It took her about 30 minutes to make my lashes beautiful! Update, as fast as my lashes were done they came out almost just as fast. Everyone at the spa was so nice and Tammi even fixed them for free the first time. I was unable to brush my eyelashes without them all falling out rapidly though. Wow! Wow! Wow! Small little family owned spa with outstanding service. Steve on the phone worked me in last minute: facial, mani/pedi and eyelashes. Tammy is phenomenal with the facials and lashes. She's to the point too with skin and lashes--I love her! Katy on my nails is meticulous and soft and did a beautiful job. My friend had a "man" facial and massage as well. He was beyond impressed and totally relaxed. One stop spa with people who treat you like family in a relaxed, quaint atmosphere! They are up front with excellent pricing and rock at their jobs! Doesn't even deserve a one star! Never go here! Tammy, the "owner," completely botched my Brazilian wax. I've had waxings from all over the world, and have never had as bad of an experience as I had at Pure Spa. She somehow burned places or taken skin off where hair doesn't even grow. My friend that has worked in a spa for years said she must have double waxed that area, which she said any professional knows not to do that! I was in pain, and bled days afterwards When I called to voice my frustration, she didn't seem concerned at all. I was on vacation, and because of the pain from the botched wax job, I wasn't able to go in the water. She made no effort to offer a refund or compensation. When I finally asked for a refund, she accused me of lying. I told her I'd come down and show her what she did, because it was obvious what she'd done wrong. She finally agreed to give me a refund, but I haven't seen it yet. That was two weeks ago. Since then, I've called her multiple times, asking about my refund. At first, she said she wasn't the owner, but she'd told me previously she was. She said she sent in the refund to her "partners" and they had to issue it. I tried to get the number to speak with them but she said no. She then HUNG UP ON ME! That's not how refunds work; a manager can authorize a refund. I'm currently disputing the charge with my bank. In short: Tammy is the most incompetent business owner and rude person I've ever met. Again, DO NOT go here! read more

10/10 would not recommend. I received a massage here a couple of months ago and I cannot get one ever again because of the experience I had here with one of their male massage therapists. He did not ask if he could massage my glutes, and he continued to do it for five minute with one hand- me not knowing what he was doing with his other hand. The owner, Tammy, did a horrible job on my eye lash extensions, they were so pain full and ugly I took them off the next day. I called to tell her about the pain, she told me " eyelashes are painful". I have had mine done before and never had any pain. She claimed doing them for 20 years well obviously you didn't keep up with the methods. She refused to give a refund, she gave me so much attitude and hung up on me. She is the owner and could have been understanding and given me a refund. What happened to good business ethics and client service in that place? Cheese and crackers came with the coupon but that was a few ritz crackers, cut up cheese (not cubed) thrown in a little bowl. Opted for water instead of wine, which was served in a paper cup. This is a small, family owned business . I Had a wonderful experience for my first visit here! I got the spa package of off of Groupon so I wasn't sure what to expect but it included a massage, facial , eyebrow wax and pedicure. Tabitha, the massage therapist did a wonderful job targeting the areas that I explained needed the most attention. Wonderful and thorough... Tammy was wonderful and provided a great, relaxing facial. Groupon spa package is very affordable. Massage therapist was nice and friendly, nothing fancy with aroma therapy or music but she was skilled for basic massage. Facial was extremely disappointing the esthetician seemed to take most of the time washing materials and literally sitting on a chair waiting for mask opposed to anything hands on. I purchased the 1 hour hot stone massage from Groupon. I ended up having to change my original appointment and the gentleman on the phone was very nice and worked around my schedule. My appointment was with Caleb. He was nothing but professional. Before starting he asked about what areas I wanted to focus on, asked/let me know what he was doing before he did it. We chatted about family and hobbies. The I my thing I don't like it having to pay too prior to the appointment. But the massage was great and I left feeling refreshed and relaxed. I purchased a spa package for a girls weekend through Groupon. At first I was told by Tammy that the only time to book was 5 weeks out and I should have called sooner. When I said who books a massage for a vacation over a month in advance I was offered a different package for one date and one time. When we got there I was relieved to find out by Tammy we could have the spa packages we had originally purchased. Both the massage therapist and the girl who did our facials were so friendly and very good. So relaxing! It was amazing. What a great way to start our vacation. The ladies who did our pedicures were very sweet and did a nice job. The cheese and crackers were sliced cheese with triskets in a small bowl which was kind of odd with white wine. The gentleman who checked us out was very friendly and helpful. The only thing that was not as great is we did not feel very welcomed by Tammy as her attitude was fake nice. It seemed to be a struggle for her to be there. Also there was no other customers in the establishment while we were there for the entire 3 hours. I'm unsure why we were told originally we had to wait 5 weeks to schedule if they are obviously not busy. Maybe Tammy does not like her Groupon patrons. read more

My sister and I did the Escape package this weekend. When I called a man named Steve helped me figure out the best package to do and found us a time slot (booked about a week ahead of time, I think)--he was very kind and helpful and was also the one to greet us when we arrived. We got to be in a nice room together and Caleb did our massages while Amanda did our facials. Both were very kind and professional. The massage was excellent--Caleb communicated well and made sure to spend time on areas that were most needing attention for each of us. Amanda did awesome facials as well and took the time to learn about our skin types and perform the facial accordingly. A woman checked us out and they added on gratuity to the total cost. Not sure what the percentage was but it was fair--honestly probably less than what I would have tipped of my own accord, but I'm fine with gratuity being added--they definitely deserved it! Seems from the reviews they treat their Groupon customers completely differently. Bought this for my mom - almost $300. Would definitely not go back for the money. They ask you to pay a 20% tip up front before starting the service which is a huge turn off. The advertised wine and cheese is a glass of white wine (no choice between red/white or kind - have no idea what I drank) and a plate with a couple of crackers and a few slices of cheese (felt a bit cheap - definitely not a "platter of wine and cheese" as advertised that I would expect from a spa). They did not ask me if I preferred the massage or the body scrub - but took me directly to the massage. When I told her I preferred medium-firm pressure she told she couldn't unless I paid extra. WHAT? WHO CHARGES EXTRA FOR MASSAGE FIRMNESS? They were professional, but the whole thing felt a bit awkward and underwhelming and I couldn't help but feel they were extra stingy with their services since I was a Groupon customer. read more

Pure spa has groupons. The woman who answered the phone lied to me when I asked if I my boyfriend and I could do a couples massage together using the two hot stone groupons, in which she said yes. After purchasing, they said they could only do one massage at a time and not at the same time. Extremely poor scheduling system. When I called to see their availability, they only provided one specific day and time for an appointment. They only verbally offer the appointment they prefer to give you and you have to pry to see when their FULL availability is. I went here for a gel manicure and eye lash extension prior to my wedding. The gel manicure peeled off within DAYS and my eye lashes started to fall off within a WEEK. I had to get both done again elsewhere prior to my big day. The manicurist that redid my nails showed me the proper way Pure Spa should have done my gel manicure and, as it turns out, Pure Spa was using improper equipment. The eyelash extensions I had to have redone stayed on for a while month! It was a HUGE disappointment, not to mention I felt totally ripped off. I looked and felt beautiful on my wedding day though! Pure Spa was a fantastic spa and I'll be sure to go back whenever I'm in town. I am currently in Ft Walton Beach for work and needed a quick Brazilian wax before my husband comes into town. Tammy hooked me up big time, I called only a few hours before she scheduled me. Once I arrived she brought me right in to get started on the wax, which took 10mins!!! It was the fastest wax I've ever had, and it was perfect. Tammy is very friendly and professional, plus she's been doing spa services for years! I purchased two Groupons for my husband and I to have massages. The ladies were kind enough to let us use them as a couples massage. We were thoroughly happy with our massage. The mood in the room was very relaxing. The music and water sounds they were playing was just right. Megan did my husband massage and he said she did a great job. She focused on the places he requested and he said she did an excellent job. I had Christina do mine and she also did a great job. She focused on the areas I requested and she even noted without my saying where I carry most of my tension. She applied just the right amount of pressure without hurting me. My boyfriend and I were clients of this establishment. The owner, Tami, sent my boyfriend a sex joke at 9 PM on a Wednesday night, while he and I were getting ready for bed. My boyfriend was shocked, so was I, she is a married woman, he said she had never approached him sexually, but we both thought this was highly inappropriate. We asked her about it, she did not think it was inappropriate, she said she sent the same joke to 60 other men. As a business owner myself, I was surprised that she thought this was acceptable. Bottom line, we are no longer clients there, and are reporting this to the Better Business Bureau and the Chamber of Commerce. read more
