My husband and I were able to book within the same day for a 90-min experience. We had a private room with an infrared dry sauna, steam room/shower, and a small space with a bench to place our belongings. It looked like there was only one other room for a couple but I'm not sure if they had more that I didn't see? It was nice that we were able to connect our own music to the Bluetooth speakers. We paid $115 for the both of us since we upgraded $5 to include Halotherapy which is a salt capsule released in the infrared sauna. The salt capsule lasted for maybe about 20 minutes but it felt nice breathing it in. Outside on the patio, there were 2 cold plunge tubs. The colder one is a one-person pod while the less cold (which was still soooo cold) could fit 2 people but it'd be better to just do one at a time. There's also a 2-person jacuzzi outside. There's also a set of outdoor furniture that looks inviting to hang out in on a warmer day. Rosa checked us in and thoroughly explained the process since it was our first time here. She was welcoming, helpful, and patient with all of our questions. The experience itself was so rejuvenating. We stayed in the infrared sauna for about 25 minutes (they also provide sunglasses to block out the light), then the steam sauna for about 10 minutes then we hurried outside to cold plunge. We came here in the winter time and so it was already so cold out in the patio. The cold plunge felt so good after being the heat for a while but I could only last for 30-60 seconds before my body gave up. It was nice getting to scurry on over to the hot tub afterwards. Overall, we had a wonderful experience here! I wish we had something like this where I'm from. Next time we're in town for snowboarding, I'll definitely come back here again!

The space is cute and comfortable with chairs you can sit or lay back in. The instructor guided the first half; and then, the second half we were allowed space to just be with our thoughts and emotions. Staff at check-in were friendly and helpful. There's plenty of parking in the lot. Definitely a nice place to reset, so it'll be part of my frequent routine.

I wanted to do something fun for date night and remembered I saw on Groupon a floating experience. (Side note, the business will match your Groupon price so you don't have to buy it through Groupon if you prefer to just purchase it at the shop.) my boyfriend was also experiencing some issues with his hip and says that this would really help! We decided on the "date float" where 2 people are inside a pod. The lid available to us was about the side of a full mattress. When you enter the room, you see the pod, a bench, a couple of changing areas and a shower stall. There's a lock on the door so you can keep your personal belongings safe. You're allowed 10 mins to rinse off and then get into the pod. We saw something floating in the water and I'm not sure what it was it it grossed me out. Maybe it was lint, but it's not comfortable to see when you're about to get naked and go inside. As soon as the capsule closed, I felt very trapped and suddenly claustrophobic. It also didn't help that the "full mattress" area didn't seem like enough room for the two of us to float comfortably without touching each other or slashing one another. I've never done this before, but I thought the keys would come on while I'm floating. So it also scared me thinking it was going to blast at me any minute. I lasted maybe 3 minutes before getting out and rinsing off. It also didn't help that I saw another couple pay for their services before we entered probably the same room and the same pod. I understand their run the jets to clean it, but just the thought of another couple being in the same pod in the same water made me feel icky. My boyfriend enjoyed it and it helped his hip. He also enjoyed that he had the big space to himself lol. Definitely not something I can do again, but If you're comfortable being in a closed space, and recycled water, your experience will be much better.

Wow! What a cool experience! I learned about SOHO Saunas from my friend, Lisa, who came on a dreary…read moreday in February or March. Her stories on IG looked so serene, so I wanted to try it out as well. So I gifted her a sauna day for her birthday in just a few days. I got there a little earlier, so I chatted with Shane, the owner about all things Japan/Japanese, the etiquette and ritual behind the saunas, and even the area where they filmed the first scene and duet of High School Musical (and yes, I totally love HS Musical )! As my friend arrived, Shane explained more about what to expect and the items needed and what they were for (a hat to protect the head and help you stay in the heat longer, and a mat to try and keep the sauna as clean as possible). Then we headed outside to the saunas and onsens tucked behind the trees on the deck. There is a shower to cleanse before entering the saunas and onsens (to maintain cleanliness for yourself and others as well as the whole space). Shampoo and body wash was provided, although I was prepared with my own. Towels and a wet bag were provided for the experience as well. A water filtration system was also in place to help you stay hydrated throughout the experience. There are two saunas currently, set at 160 and 190 degrees respectively. There are also two onsens on deck, set at 104-106 for the hot tub, and 59-65 degrees for the cold plunge experience (I'm so glad there was no ice, and there have been studies showing that women benefit more from the 60 degree plunge than colder plunges, but to each their own ). The water for the onsens is pumped in and constantly refilling to keep the water clean. The water used is the mineral water found in Midway, which has great health benefits. We tried all of it in our 2 hour session. We felt a little spoiled since we were the only two who signed up for this session, so it was like a private session (although they do offer those at a different package price). I wish I lived closer, as I would definitely take advantage of the memberships available. Thank you Shane, for bringing SOHO Saunas to Midway, and allowing us to experience and delve into Japanese culture. I loved ever second getting to relax, detox, be with my friend, and pamper myself with self-care. Arrigato! I'll definitely be back!!!!! (Once in the cold plunge was enough for me). Emphasis is on relaxation and cleanliness. We brought our own towels, even tho Soho supplies place cloth sitting maps for inside the saunas. Another location is planned for Sundance Resort and the owner is working on opening a Japanese restaurant inside the building as well (the old x-cross country skiing building).
