I love that they have enough therapists that you can get in almost at a moment's notice and get help right when it's needed. Bronwen was great! I had a pounding headache from so much neck and shoulder tension and she was able to make a significant difference within an hour. I also saw Lucas there for months. Fabulous therapist. After being stuck on my recovery progress post surgery, I did some much needed research and found this place as they do Gua Sha, IASTM (Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization), and cupping! This place is truly a GEM! Yes, you can come here and do a zero gravity float session. Yes, you can come here for a relaxing massage. However, the main reason why I was so drawn to this place and jumped at the opportunity to get on the schedule was/is because they offer Gua Sha, IASTM (Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization), and cupping. The front desk fella, Jase, is super friendly and personable! He made sure I got on the schedule w/who I was looking to see as he felt my desperation into getting some relief. I am pretty paranoid when it comes to someone handling my body post surgery (due to skin sensitivity, previous surgeries on the same area, and just trauma from previous injuries). I just had my fifth surgery on the same knee, and needed to seek out a HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY trained professional, who would be attentive to my paranoia, who has extensive background experience in aiding patients post surgeries with their long, often SLOW recovery. Enter Paul O. When I met him, I knew he was the right massage therapist for me. Upon my very first visit with him, he wanted to know my extensive/detailed past injuries and surgeries so he can comprehend where I am at with this fifth surgery and create a plan that will aid me in my recovery journey. It was so nice to be able to connect with someone who can understand where I have been and where I am now, in regards of physical injuries, past surgeries, affecting the mental as well as emotional aspect of my life. From there, with every visit, he has been very determined and patient with me, using Gua Sha, IASTM, and cupping to aid me in my path towards a once-again-normal life. I tried this business for the first time by finding it through Yelp and I was happy to find it! Firstly I was greeted by such a friendly and helpful receptionist, Nicole! She answered all my questions, even offered to charge my phone and she smiled everytime she spoke it was really great to chat with her! Then Paul (the owner) was my therapist and he was amazing! Super great listener so I felt like he heard what I needed and he definitely met my needs and gave me a wonderful deep massage. I needed so much work he really gave me his all! I went in for stress and pain relief and Jared was my massage therapist and did a great job!! He asked where I carry the most pain and stress and really worked on those areas! I was greeted by such a sweet receptionist and the place was very clean and calm. The only thing I would change was how loud the music was while getting my massage but other than that everything was amazing I'll for sure be back!! read more

I booked a 60 minute prenatal massage and 60 minute float and will not be returning. Emily was late to come get me for my 60 minute massage so by the time she talked to me and I got settled on the all-too-narrow table for a 9 month pregnant person, it was already 10 minutes in. She was rather condescending in asking me to move and adjust throughout the whole session and I felt like I was holding on for dear life to not fall off the table. Needless to say I was tense and all she did was rub my back, neck and half of each leg. It also ended 10 minutes to the hour so my massage was only 40 minutes total. When I asked at checkout if that was normal, brownyn said "oh yeah sorry we've been having issues with that, it should be 50 minutes of hands-on time"; sounding like she acknowledged I wasn't the first to bring this up to them. 2 stars because She was nice and apologized and Nicole, the manager, later called and refunded me for the $10 membership. but if you're going to book a 60 minute massage just keep in mind it'll be a lot less. The float was underwhelming and not comfortable but I'm sure some people love it. I ended up leaving early since I already had a not-great experience with the massage, so I'm mostly speaking that since that's the one thing I wanted to do this pregnancy and was so disappointed. Also if you're going to book the 2 together I'd recommend floating before the massage since they tell you to scrub off any oils lotions etc before getting in the float tank, which I'd expect them to suggest when booking. Overall I'm sure this is a great place for some people and I feel bad saying anything but I did a lot of research for prenatal massage and they had good reviews here so it's a bummer. read more

Body Balance Massage and Float is a hidden gem in the massage industry here in Utah. I have been members of numerous Massages Franchised in Utah and other states. I have had over 20 years of consistent massages and have experience with 100 different therapists. I am not exaggerating when I say they truly have amazing talented massage therapist. Not to mention, some great unique items such as their Floats and Warm Bamboos. They are in Utah County but its well worth the drive from Salt Lake County. Paul, Denise, Tasha are amazing. But even their newest addition Lucas was great. They have a variety of massage therapists to meet people's preferences. I recommend 30 min float before massage and warm Bamboo for those that like a deep therapeutic massage. Their prices are just as competitive as a membership of a franchise, but the best is there is no contract or rules on prepaids etc. You pay 10 dollars a month to cancel at any time and you get 40-50% off their full rates. I have been a member for over a year and not once have they canceled on me as a client. Each massage is customized to my needs. read more

I've been a customer of the owners for over six years. I was hugely excited to see them open this business and achieve their worthy dream of using their talents to help people. They are innovative and caring in their treatments in massage (bamboo and cupping among others if you desire). The float experience is also amazing. I've been to another float place that left me confused, but BB has it well thought out for the maximum experience. The open float tanks are incredible--other places have closed pods which wasn't bad, but I like this a lot better. They've thought through all possible ways to make you feel comfortable and walk you through everything. Floating itself makes a huge difference for me in my health, particularly in my sleep. I struggle in turning off my mind and it kicks me awake at night. Something about floating helps me sleep soundly. I would highly recommend trying it, and trying it here, if you're curious.
