Treated myself to a massage but this was not just any massage. It went deep along my back and spine and full body. The therapist was responsive to my needs. Very disappointing experience. The room was cold and despite keeping my socks on, I was really cold the entire massage which makes it hard to relax. I told the massage therapist several times and she did nothing about it . I also made it clear at the start that I was having issues with hip and lower back and wanted to focus on some very tight leg muscles. She did not do that at all. And I asked for more pressure several times as she wasn't really getting into the muscle but she did not really change the pressure for long. To top it off, she was sniffling the entire time which is pretty disgusting. I feel I completely wasted 90 Minutes and $90. First off, let me just say that although I am working through them, I have had health problems for a while. My experience could be a bit different than most. So there's that disclaimer. I walked in and they have these big chairs rather than massage tables that are folded out so they are almost flat. The girl was very quiet, sweet, not really like the majority of masseuses I am used to. I told her when it was too much pressure and she told me to just make sure to tell her if I want to change the pressure. There were times it hurt, but mostly it was pretty relaxing. I have Invisiline (think barely visible braces) and the rubber bands have been making my jaw really hurt, so she massaged my jaw for like 10 or 15 minutes, which ended up making my 60 min appt go into 75 minutes. I could barely drive home I got so tired after the massage. After being in traffic and finally making it home, I passed out for an hour. I could barely stay awake, so I went back to sleep at like 8pm on a Friday night. I woke up the next morning with literally no pain in my back or neck or in my jaw. I cough a lot and my upper body gets really sore, and I had no knots, no pain, nothing. I felt like a new woman!!! I highly recommend this place. I felt like I wanted to die when it was over, but that probably doesn't happen to regular people. But the next day, I felt amazing.. Seriously...they rock!!! read more

They really take their time with you and listen to what you need focused on during your massage. I've been used to the typical Chinese foot massage spots which do a satisfactory job, but Pure Thai was another experience. I feel relieved and reset physically. I usually get deep tissue massages, but was always curious about Thai massage. I am so glad I tried it and with the perfect masseuse at that. I had the one hour Thai massage with Pio and it was the best massage I've ever had. I have huge knots on my shoulders and my hips were bugging me after a 10 mile hike the day before. Pio's hands are really magic, I came out of the session super relaxed and loose. Muscles that were tight even after deep tissue massages felt for the first time in years nice and loose. There was some pain involved but Pio did constantly Check to make the pressure was comfortable. I just happen to like the deeper pressure. I plan to to star getting a massage with her twice a month now. If you never tried Thai massage, try it with Pio!! The waiting room isn't the best but the massage room is clean and comfortable and the music very soothing. Enjoy! read more

Had a gnarly knot on my upper back and just moved to the area. Gave this place a chance and it did not disappoint! Booked the 60 min half-half via online booking tool, and got a quick response around confirming the booking. Arrived and they were quick to get me into one of their massage rooms. Told the masseur, Ai (sp?), and he was able to tailor the massage for my problem spot. Price is about right for this service and Ai was diligent on tending to the knot I came in for. I know the knot spot will be sore for a few days, but Ai put the hard pressure I requested on the spot. Will be using them from now on, especially, Ai! Wow wow wow!! I've had Thai massages many times and love the method of stretch and pressure point release. Honestly never had a bad experience anywhere in Mill Valley but Pio stood out so much that it compelled me to write a review. Without specific direction she zoned in on tight stuck areas of my body (and there are many) and released so much tightness and tension that I don't recognize this pain free body. I hope it lasts!! wow. This place lives up to its 5-star reputation. I called and they could take me for my 1-hour foot acupressure massage in 45-minutes. Perfect - arrived, and was greeted by my masseuse - a very lovely younger man (so I don't think the husband cited in the other reviews). I was given a pair of Thai-style pants and shirt to change into, and relaxed onto the lounge chair behind some curtains. Very quiet, calm, dimly lit. And wow - for $45 for a full 60 minutes I got my money's worth! Started with some aromatherapy and pressure on my head, shoulders, neck, then arms, while my feet soaked in hot water. Then probably 45 minutes? on my feet. Ahh...that could have gone on forever. He used a wooden stick for some of the acupressure - I literally felt like I was floating when he hit some points on my feet! Then a few minute on my legs, including a lovely IT band stretch, then he had me sit up and did some (really!) deep tissue on my shoulders/back for a bit. And done. Wow. If I had the $, I'd go every week - as it is, I'll probably treat myself monthly. I've never walked out of a massage feeling so grounded, calm, and relaxed. read more

This new Thai massage spot is wonderful! It recently opened above Jamba Juice in the Safeway Plaza in Mill Valley. It's locally owned by a very sweet couple originally from Thailand. You can tell that they have put their all into their business. It's incredibly clean, comfortably appointed and very relaxing. I went in for my free ten minute massage and was actually worked on for about 30 minutes- lucky me! I made an appointment to go back a few days later for a foot massage. I just had the most amazing Thai Massage from Pio. When I walked through the door I was visually amazed by the absolute beauty and detail they put into their massage studio. I felt liked I had stepped into a Temple somewhere in Thailand. I had the 60 min Thai Massage and the deep pressure was just what I needed. Pio was so strong and so conscious of how I was feeling. A is a miracle-worker! I had had a nagging problem for several months with my hamstring, or pulled glut muscle, or pinched nerve, or SOMETHING that made me unable to run and made me hobble around like an old lady. A soccer teammate recommended him to me. I went in, described the problem to him, and he nodded and said, "I can fix that..." And in a single session, he DID! I could suddenly touch my toes again without searing pain and 3 days later, sprinted for my entire soccer game and scored 2 goals! I had never had this type of body work done before and didn't know quite what to expect. It's not the soothing, relaxing strokes and kneading of Swedish massage, but MAN has it made a difference for me.
