Going to Align is like going on a great relaxing mini vacation. If you need an adjustment, Barara is your woman, she know exactly what shes doing . I first went there for a vertigo cure which she amazing fixed in short order. Now I go to her for maintance on my neck which is where I hold my stress and she can always get it! Generally, a single visit has resolved what ever issue I've dealt with, and she offers stretches and exercises that have totally worked for me to help avoid my issues in the future. About 9 months ago I threw out my back for the first time and have since had near-constant pain of varying levels in my right lower back and hip. I kept stretching my back and hips everyday, changed my sleeping position, and once went in for a massage (somewhere else, not here), but nothing really helped. I'd never had a chiropractic adjustment before, but my mom bought me a gift card for a first-time visit and massage to this place so I figured I might as well give it a try. After finally going in this morning, I am delighted to report that my constant back/hip pain is gone! I'm genuinely surprised - I'd expected some relief, but not this much! I started my appointment with a massage from Jamie, who was attentive and communicative and helped get my hips and low back to loosen up. Then I saw Dr. Reitz for a consultation and adjustment. She did a great job of addressing my health history and explaining what she would be doing. After some quick adjustments to my pelvis, spine, ribs, and neck, I was on my way, increasingly amazed that I could move around without any pain. I had experimented with a different type of therapy until my symptoms worsened and the chiropractor made a serious mistake she was unable to correct. After my body was warmed up by Dr. Reitz, and then seduced into compliance by an excellent massage, she went to work. Barbara saw visually what needed adjustment. She corrected that and other issues. I always feel better after an adjustment at Align Chiropractic. The heat and massage prior to adjustment are factors in how well the adjustment takes and when I can, I'll get the extended massages as well. The place is so clean. I've been going to Dr. Reitz for adjustments for roughly two years after an issue with my neck following a surf accident. She is extremely warm and friendly, but also not pushy or salesperson-ish. We fixed the original issue and now I only go in if I feel the need, not stuck with a mandated program, which is great. I also get massage here with Vince who is very knowledgeable and works the areas that need work. He has my trust that he can address areas without making them worse (as has happened at other massage locations). I highly recommend them both. read more

Dr. Barb is the best chiropractor I've ever had and I've had quite a few. Once she aligns you, she is not the type of chiropractor that insists on seeing you more than once a week. Unless it's needed, she aligns you and you're set for a while and it's up to you to determine how often you'd care to be adjusted. Not only is she effective, but she's also always on schedule, highly efficient, and for those in Southern Marin---nearby! An added bonus for me is that she takes my insurance. Barb has helped me and my husband through painful neck and back issues. She's caring, knowledgeable, gentle, compassionate, personable. AND, she doesn't try to persuade you to get additional, unecessary adjustments, which many chiropractors do to increase their revenue. I was a confirmed chiro skeptic! Until I met Barbara... I was referred to Barbara by a family member last summer after throwing out my lower back out 2 weeks before leaving for a 2-week trip to Europe. Given the pain I was in I was so sure my family would have to go without me. With just a few visits she got my muscles calmed down enough that I was able to walk through London, Paris and part of Belgium. What a savior! Just this week I hurt the same area of my lower back (although not as intensely) and hobbled into her office for an adjustment. While I was a bit sore immediately after the visit, within a few hours I able to walk normally and 15 hours later was able to do my morning 30 min swim! Dr. Reitz is not only an amazing chiropractor, but a genuinely nice and personable human! She listens very intently and really tries to pin point the problems and problem areas within the body. She takes a whole body and mind approach and gives some great advice.
