From start to finish, my appointment felt like I was just hanging out and laughing with a girlfriend over coffee -- even through the sting of the sugaring! Tucked away in a new and small 'strip' location, it has plenty of parking, fresh exterior, and unobtrusive signage. It's next door to So Fit on US Hwy 80 East, which can be a little tricky to find. The people there are very friendly and not at all 'foo-foo' the way some salons can be. It never felt like I was intruding on a party, the way it can at times feel when you are a newcomer! The owner spoke with me on the phone, set up my appointment with someone she felt was right for the job, and welcomed me to the salon's fold. When I went for my appointment (nice little reminder by text the day before), I met a young lady named Alexis, or Lexi, as I heard her called. She was polite, quiet, and listened to what I had I n mind. She then gave me one of the best haircuts I have ever had. On my return trip 6 weeks later, Lexi remembered me and again listened to a couple of revisions I had decided to implement. She did an even better job than before!! I had sent a friend there also, who needed cut, highlights, and conditioning-she reported a great experience, too. Overall, this is just a great place to go, skilled and friendly folks to work with, and results that speak for themselves - both my friend and I have gotten several compliments after having our hair done there. I will have to take a look at the price list to see if there is a running scale on the prices advertised. I questioned the price and the stylist was polite in explaining how everything is calculated. I probably won't be back because I can't afford $75 blowouts every week. I like to have my hair blown out every week so I look for more aggressive pricing.

I've been going to Reflections for about 4 years now for eyebrow threading and usually get decent…read moreservice but recently I had an experience that caused me a to decide not to return again. I made an appointment online for with the owner (Kanisha) for my regular service. When I arrived I was called with a "come" and motioned to sit in a service chair by another technician who I'm unfamiliar with. She didn't say anything else but when I saw her setting up to service me, I informed her that I had an appointment with Kanisha. She walked off and came back with Kanisha who told me that she was busy and couldn't get to me but assured me that although this tech was new, she was capable of servicing me well. I told her that was no problem and thanked her for letting me know. After my service, my brows looked good but I was displeased with the tech's level of customer service but still paid and tipped as needed. That evening I noticed burning in the area when washing my face and noticed a scar on both eyelids where skin had actually been taken off and by morning it was swollen and bleeding so I called the salon and left a message with the receptionist for Kanisha to return my call. I received an email to leave a review on Google which I did. Shortly after leaving my review, I was contacted by Kanisha. She asked for photos, which I sent and we talked on the phone. She offered to supply me with a sample size of aloe vera for me to apply to it but I declined as I'd already been using Neosporin and aloe. I dealt with this swelling for almost a week and the scar showed for over a month so I think it's safer for me not to return as I wouldn't be comfortable enough to trust their techs nor trust that they'd adequately give a solution to any issue that might arise. Sorry for the length of this review but I thought it was important to leave details as to prepare and prevent this from happening to another customer and in hopes that the techs at this salon are more careful and aware.
