    Gel polish "Milky Way" #295
    Aury H.

I recently moved to RH and tried every nail place under the sun. Lil' Nail Shop is it for me. I wanted to visit a few times before leaving a review, but I honestly could have written this same feedback after the first visit. First of all, the negative reviews I read here are not reflective of my experience nor what I have observed during each of my visits. All the nail techs are courteous, the place is always clean, and they have been very communicative throughout the service. The prices are average to neighboring salons. I've had the standard pedicures and gel manicures, and the service is solid. While a different nail tech attended me each time, my manicure was done today by Mae, and omg - that's my girl from now on. Mae's manicure skills are on point. She was very meticulous, left my cuticles super clean, and applied the polish perfectly. She didn't even have to clean up the edges (see picture). I also recommend the massages. Today I had my 2nd, hour-long, deep tissue massage. This is a must-treat. Perfect pressure and relaxing. I nearly fell asleep. My masseuse spent much-needed time on each section of my back, neck, and shoulders that were hurting. Spa music played through the speakers during the entire massage. I sooo appreciated the light back cracks every now and then - it really got all the pressure out. Then, a hot stone massage concluded this glorious experience. As someone who suffers from chronic back pain, this will be a regular occurrence for me. The gel manicure and hour-long deep tissue massage are the best $120 I've ever spent.

Lil' Nail Shop (LNS) was such a perfect Mother's Day weekend treat! This pandemic has left my poor feet neglected and LNS fixed that! I have been told LNS was the best nail shop in RH, so my mother-in-law, my friend and I decided to make a morning of it and treat ourselves. - Parking - Center lot. LNS is located in the Waystation Plaza shopping center. - Vibe - The space is brand new! One of the ladies who was helping us told us that the owner had decided to expand and renovate during the pandemic when she was forced to shut down. In the past, she would have had to shut down the business for awhile in order to renovate the space, but she never wanted to do that, because the shop was too busy. Well, the pandemic shut it down for her, so she took the opportunity to finally renovate. Right now, the new space is right next to the original space. They built the wall between the two spaces so that they could resume business while the contractors finish up renovating the original side. The lady said that eventually, they might have to close for a few days so that they could knock down the wall and connect the two spaces. The new space looks great so I'm sure the final space will look awesome. Unfortunately, I won't be around to see it as I am moving within a couple of weeks. It's really clean and bright inside. - The Services - I opted for the Classic Pedi with an upgrade to gel nail polish. I chose the color Hot Ferrari because I just LOVE red! Two weeks later and it still looks like the day I got it done. The pedi chairs are great! They are the massaging type so I was able to really knead the pandemic kinks out of my back, well most of them anyway LOL. The wash basin is lined with blue plastic wrap and of course, changed with each client. - TLC - The lady that took care of me did not speak English very well, so my friend's lady translated for us. Poor lady, her lucky day to get THE chatty customer haha. Language barriers never stopped me! She was super nice and she did an amazing job! When she was working on the bottoms of my feet, she was super patient when I was giggling like a schoolgirl ! I. Just. Can't. I'm so glad she didn't make any sudden movements. I was so afraid that she would hit a nerve or something and my foot would go flying. That would have been bad news haha. - Pro Tip - *Go right when they open or book an appointment! Our visit was a last minute decision. We arrived shortly after opening and the pedi chairs were already filled with some people at the mani stations and some in the waiting area. Mind you, it was also Mother's Day weekend on a saturday. We didn't wait too long, but it fills up quick! *Pay extra to get the gel nail polish! Lasts longer. *Stay away from the cheese grater (can't think of the real name of the tool), but you know what I'm talking about. That thing they use to peel off the dead hard skin off your heels after you soak your feet? It may feel good at the time, but it just makes the skin grow back thicker. - COVID-19 Observations - * They ask you to wash your hands when you enter. The sink is in the very back of the shop. * All employees were wearing masks. So glad I got my feet done and now they are ready for the summer! Decent prices, take COVID-19 precautions seriously, great service and my feet are fixed! I'm only sad that I haven't given in to the Mom guilt sooner and treated myself! Stay safe, Friends!

Such a cute and clean shop

I made an appointment with one of my girlfriends for manicures. We were handed a nail palette with different colors to choose from, and let me tell you there were a ton of colors (which was a good sign being variety is never a bad thing). We were then helped shortly after figuring out our colors, we came on a Friday during school hours and this place was pretty busy so I'd definitely recommend making an appointment. Vinh did my manicure and though she wasn't really one for small talk she did a phenomenal job and was still friendly. I got such a good hand massage after she finished doing my gel nails, I felt so spoiled and pampered ( which after moving across country and moving a 4 bedroom home with minimal help I definitely deserved). This has been the best nail shop I've found in Georgia so far. Staff are friendly and efficient and this place is extremely clean. Something you'd expect from all nail salons but Hinesville has set the bar so low this place was really a breath of fresh air. I seriously didn't think nail salons like this existed in this part of the state, I'm glad I was proven wrong.

    Nail filed unevenly
    Z M.

Gel mani: nails filed unevenly, rushed job, cuticles barely cut, nail polish lumpy and on the skin or not covering entire nail. I hate leaving bad reviews but I'm so disappointed and feel awful I paid money for this.

Veena- love it! Will be back soon :)

First time visit and was impressed with the cleanliness and beauty of this shop- love it! Veena did my (anniversary) nails and I couldn't be happier! Would def recommend and in fact will be back with my daughter soon.

Is it too soon to say this is my go-to nail spot, when I haven't given many other nail salons a spot? Maybe. Will I regret saying that? Probably not! I'm a pedicure type of gal. Rarely will I do my nails; it has to be a special occasion and I'll end up rocking gel nails. Pedicures, however, are a most. I am on my feet a lot, especially in sneakers doing sports and other athletic things. The first time I came I only had a classic pedi. It's $25 and real simple. My feet felt great and the polish looked great. The second time I decided I needed a bit more attention. My feet were feeling (and looking) a little rough. I decided to try the milk and honey pedicure - a $45 treatment. It was worth every dollar because for an hour, if not more, Tom took great care of my feet. The milk and honey pedicure includes a goat milk foot soak, plus a honey butter scrub (with a great calf massage), then some eucalyptus oil with a hot stone massage directed at the soles of your feet, and concluding with a moisturizing mask and hot towel combo. This is in addition to everything that goes into a classic pedi. I felt so refreshed; this is exactly what my feet needed. Plus I think I found my go-to nail tech (Tom). He was so attentive to my needs and requests. I'm coming back next month! PS. I always make an appointment (usually an hour to three in advance), just so I'm not sitting around longer than I need to.

Dip powder dried up and stuck all over the sides of my nails and underneath

My nails and the skin around them look absolutely destroyed! I'm very upset. The service was $87 for a mani/pedi and it looks like this. Pedicure was fine, but different technician did my manicure. She rushed so much, she wasn't careful, and the work is very very sloppy. She answered phone calls during the entire service, and that distracted her every few minutes as she went back and forth between me and two other clients. So even though the actual service was completely rushed, I was still there for over 2 hours because she kept getting interrupted. No cleaning of the nails, no cuticle treatment, no lotion after, no massage... nothing. Except for dip powder on my nails (and apparently all over my skin as well.) Also very dirty inside. Floors are disgusting and the work stations were filthy.

Ann did great! She's fast and does a clean job, I recommend her
    LA D.

I went here because the other nail salons around Richmond Hill take forever. My nail tech was Ann and she was super fast and nice which is what I was looking for. What usually takes 2 hours took about 45 mins with her which was great. I had an appointment and still had to wait around 15ish which isn't bad but if you're on a tight schedule, consider that

    Bad nail job

I am so disappointed. I normally get my nails done here every month. Today, I swear a 5 year old did my nails. Got home and looked at them in bright light and was so mad. Called back to talk to owner or manager and was declined. If I was the owner, I would want my customers' feedback. I was asked to return, which is great for someone that has the time. Not everyone has at least two hours to blow off to get nails done and then go back and do it again for a terrible job. This is a holiday week. Everyone has commitments. I just wanted to inform the owner and was not able to talk to her hence the review. Please check on your customers nails now and then to ensure they are getting what they paid for.

Was very nice atmosphere and I appreciate the way the technician was patient with my nails especially since they were in awful condition when I came in. He also brought me a fan to help with the fumes since I'm pregnant and needed the ventilation. So far so good. I am pleased with the service.

Perfect nails! (Forgive the weird spray tan)

I am sorry I didn't get the girl's name who did my nails here because she was amazing! I went in and it was super busy so they told me to come back in an hour in a half. I did and they got me right in. The salon is very salon-ish. The decor doesn't make it stand out (although they have SO MUCH polish!), but the service and the nails DO. I was practically giddy to find this place. I sat down in a comfy chair and had this amazing pedicure. I had this one with honey and a million other things that was SO worth it (it's the $45 pedicure -- totally worth it). When she started using the hot stones on my legs I almost fell asleep, that's how good it was! There was lotion and oil and so much. It was the perfect way to relax and get a beautiful pedicure. My feet look just so great! The same girl did my nails. I did SNS powder and asked for it to be thicker than usual because I can be pretty klutzy with my nails. She added an extra layer of clear powder just in case and my nails are the most beautiful I've seen them (and for $45!!!). Just so great. I love this salon and I wish it was in NYC. I'd probably go weekly! Not only are they super professional and great at their jobs, but they are the nicest people too! Seriously, get here and get your nails done well. Mine are so good I"m sad I can't come back and get them done over and over (I'm in NYC). I'm so jealous of all you who live here! Amazing!

They never fail me, I forgot to get the M design I wanted so I went back and they did no problem within 5 min. In love with this place

I made an appointment online for with the owner (Kanisha) for my regular service. When I arrived I was called with a "come" and motioned to sit in a service chair by another technician who I'm unfamiliar with. She didn't say anything else but when I saw her setting up to service me, I informed her that I had an appointment with Kanisha. She walked off and came back with Kanisha who told me that she was busy and couldn't get to me but assured me that although this tech was new, she was capable of servicing me well. I told her that was no problem and thanked her for letting me know. After my service, my brows looked good but I was displeased with the tech's level of customer service but still paid and tipped as needed. That evening I noticed burning in the area when washing my face and noticed a scar on both eyelids where skin had actually been taken off and by morning it was swollen and bleeding so I called the salon and left a message with the receptionist for Kanisha to return my call. I received an email to leave a review on Google which I did. Shortly after leaving my review, I was contacted by Kanisha. She asked for photos, which I sent and we talked on the phone. She offered to supply me with a sample size of aloe vera for me to apply to it but I declined as I'd already been using Neosporin and aloe. I dealt with this swelling for almost a week and the scar showed for over a month so I think it's safer for me not to return as I wouldn't be comfortable enough to trust their techs nor trust that they'd adequately give a solution to any issue that might arise. Sorry for the length of this review but I thought it was important to leave details as to prepare and prevent this from happening to another customer and in hopes that the techs at this salon are more careful and aware.

What's baffling is that no restitution was ever made, nor offered for any of the substandard services received at that time or since. The only stylist that I would ever allow to do my hair would be j.J and I don't know that she's the stylist still left at your salon. Otherwise, financial restitution would be the only thing that would satisfy a person who experienced services and felt as awful as I was made to feel. I was told it was only important that I was happy then, all I wanted was my hair done correctly. And I would have been, instead, I was blamed and still no restitution was made. I too am sorry that I couldn't continue to be a client of your salon. But when you don't do the right by the public you make restitution. This is, unfortunately, an epidemic within the salon community not sure. If it's only in Richmond Hill, or it's down south in general, because of the way that stylist do booth rental, rather than they're an employee of the salon, then there seems to be some kind of responsibility. And some kind of ownership that the salon has in regard to their stylus and to their clients. But that seems to be lacking, because the clients are generally linked to their stylist and not so much. The salon, it's a real shame because what that amounts to is no accountability whatsoever. A dedicated client's hairis done wrong and it is left that way, not fixed , no responsibility taken, no apologies are even made. Instea, blame was made- no restitution for it and the client is told,." Oh, sorry, but we just can't seem to make you happy, you will need to go elsewhere for services."?? It's wrong. That's still not the way to do business, no matter how much time passes.

I was fully prepared to pay. The issue was the attitude and the dishonesty. Instead of taking responsibility for the miscommunication, the staff repeatedly insisted that I had misunderstood, spoke to each other in another language while smirking and laughing, and made the situation uncomfortable and disrespectful. That behavior alone was enough for us to leave. Mocking or insulting customers in another language is immature and unacceptable. We wasted our time and left feeling disrespected. I will not support a business that changes prices after the fact and treats customers this way. I couldn't decide which color I wanted but my tech was very patient and accommodating. I enjoyed the leg scrub which I think lasted long for a reg pedicure. I've been to places where it's like BIM BAM BOOM next, so I enjoyed that. They don't give complimentary neck massages or drinks like some places but that's ok. My nail tech Elaine was super sweet and we shared conversation here and there. She also was taking her time shaping them and looking for imperfections until she had to do another service and had someone else finish my top coat. I wished they were a little rounded more instead of flat but I love the color and noticed more once I left. It's not a big place but decent, clean and nice. My service cost me $85.
