I was shocked since they have a full store of tea varieties within a 3 minute walk. It just didn't make much sense to me. I like to have a good tea selection to choose from. I do like that they kept our pots filled with free refills. The food was ok. Their signature sweet is a crème brûlée. That was the star of the show in my opinion. Everything else seemed rather average this visit. I've had better experiences in the past and will go back based on past experiences.

I planned my visit in advance making the necessary required reservation. Although making the reservation was no easy task. I ended up making several phone calls and leaving several messages along with an online inquiry before someone contacted me to schedule the reservation. I was not real pleased with the process but my reservation was confirmed. Note: There is both a tea shop and the tearoom. Both are located in downtown Lititz. These are not the same buildings. Each has its own unique phone number(s). The interior decoration of the tearoom is quaint with plenty of seating for small or large groups. I liked the cozy feel of the rooms. Tables were pre-set with mix and match teacups, a tea timer, and tea condiments. The settings were cute and appropriate for a tearoom. I was disappointed in the tea selections. All tea varieties were represented but there were only one or two options for each type of tea. I would have expected more of a selection on the menu considering the amount of tea varieties in the tea shop. During my visit, they ran out of at least one of the black teas. The servers could have mentioned this before taking tea orders and forcing the customers to make a quick second tea choice. The choices were already limited. I don't think you should be running out of tea. And if you do run out, can you please inform the customer. Maybe have an alternate option available. I selected a green tea from the menu along with the Afternoon High Tea. The tea was served with the tea bag in the pot forcing me to time the steep of the tea. This was not really a problem since I am a tea drinker but to be honest, I didn't like that I needed to time my own tea. Tea can easily be over or under steeped especially if you are trying a new tea and do not know the proper steep time. I would have preferred if the tea had been steeped in advance before it was served to me eliminating the possibility of an improper brew and bitter tea. The food was okay. The raspberry scone was delicious. I would have liked if it had been served with more condiments instead of only the lemon curd. I was disappointed with the tea sandwiches. There was only really one sandwich served. The rest were open faced sandwiches which consisted of a round of bread with some type of topping. The desserts were all delicious. I especially liked the creme brulee and the cake. The food was good but not exceptional. Overall I was disappointed with my visit and will probably not be visiting again anytime soon.

What a lovely little spot on the Main Line! I am an afternoon tea connoisseur, so my expectations…read morewere rather high... and they were surpassed! I had been in the area for several days to tour apartments and daycares in advance of our planned move to Pennsylvania next year... so a lovely tea was my little splurge on the trip after days of drinking protein shakes on the go. I made a reservation for 10 am on Sunday, right when they opened, since I was going to go straight to the airport afterward. I was seated immediately, and everything came out pretty fast. I opted for the full afternoon tea, which comes with eight tea sandwiches, a scone with clotted cream, lemon curd, and strawberry preserves, and three assorted mini pastries, along with a pot of tea. You can choose up to four flavors for the sandwiches (so you get two of each flavor for a total of eight mini sandwiches), so I got the curried chicken salad, egg salad, cucumber and cream cheese, and cheddar cheese and chutney. Most tea places give you four sandwiches per person, so there was no way I was finishing eight of these. Thankfully, I got four of them in a to-go box and they ended up being a tasty snack on the plane. The curried chicken salad was my favorite (which they sell in their to-go containers in the gift shop), followed by the cucumber and cream cheese (the cucumbers were thinly sliced, which makes a big difference!). The egg salad was good, but a bit mild-flavored. I can't say I loved the cheddar cheese and chutney combo, so in the future I might just opt for more of the curried chicken or cucumber sandwiches instead. For the scone, I chose blueberry citrus, which was delicious! I used a very thin layer of the lemon curd, followed by the strawberry preserves and topped with the clotted cream. All of the flavors worked quite well on the scone. I wasn't blown away by the mini desserts (I can't recall exactly what flavors they were, but there was a posset that was a bit saltier than I was expecting, a blueberry cream puff, and a mini cake slice). But as I've gotten older, I've found myself more drawn to the savory aspect of afternoon teas anyway. The rest of the meal was delicious enough, and filling enough, that I honestly was never going to be able to finish everything. I was dining solo here, and I'm guessing not a lot of people do a tea for one, so I ended up chatting with 4-5 different employees here over the course of my meal. I have to say that the service here may have been the friendliest I've experienced pretty much anywhere. Everyone I spoke with was so welcoming and kind! When it came time for me to leave, they all wished me a safe trip back to Florida and said they hoped to see me again as one of their "regulars" once we move. I can already tell you, I hope that's the case too! This place is adorable, inside and out. And I love the assorted British foods available in the gift shop, along with fun kitchenware. If my suitcase hadn't already been packed to the brim, I probably would've spent more money in that shop. I'm looking forward to returning next year once I escape the Sunshine State :)

They also brought more gluten/dairy free dessert for her as well. We drove almost 2 hours and I would not be against doing it again. They have a nice lovely shot that you can mill around in parking is easy. Everybody was absolutely pleasant as can be and the food presentation was as lovely looking as it was eating

Upon arrival they greeted us with our first pot and explained that we would simply leave the warming cover off of out pot if we wanted a new tea. Overall we tried five teas: Apple molasses, creme brulee, ginger pear, back porch, snowflake All were lovely but I really liked back porch the most! We were presented with several courses including salad, scones, soup, mini sandwiches, and dessert. Everything was incredibly delicious and made easy going afternoon. From each course I really liked certain things, the menu changes so make sure you double check! I really liked that. All the tableware was beautiful and elegant. The bathroom was upstairs with the gift shop and it was very cute and I found a lot of really nice things. I also liked that they had different teas that you could purchase to take home. This was n't a perfect birthday treat and I would highly recommend it for anyone. I also noticed that they offered gluten-free items for folks that needed that and I thought that was really awesome.

It was a busy afternoon and the home was packed with patrons, despite this our server was very attentive refilling our tea pots so we were able to sample many different teas. I really enjoyed my food and left full despite the snack sized portions. I would highly suggest checking out this tea house for yourself and I wouldn't be surprised if we return sooner rather than later.
