This St Patrick's specialty tea was hands down the best experience I have had yet! The food was all uniquely prepared and tasted delicious. Service was wonderful. The cafe is small but was well spaced out. Noise not an issue. Would 100% recommend and definitely will return.

More pretty china and spoon rests.

Very nice ambience and the teas were delicious. Service was fine as well. The tea sandwiches were mostly bread with little filling. Authentic tea sandwiches are made with delicate, thinly sliced bread, usually white, with filling appropriately proportioned to the bread. Pretty china was used. One full tea service plus a soup and a second pot of tea cost about 80.00 with tax and tip. Rather pricey for the quality, unfortunately. The yea with the caramel candy pieces tasted strangely artificial but the herbal blueberry tea was delicious. The tea shop was fun to browse and the tea pots and accessories for sale were very nice as well but again, quite pricey. This was our first time dining in Radnor, PA, so as a Philly suburb, this may be the standard here. Next time we will drive into the city for higher quality food.

Had a reservation and no problem with being seated right away but some of the seating is way too close which makes it really hard for conversation. The food service started with tea, and we opted for the full tea service which comes with Scone, tea sandwiches and dessert samples. All was good but the cucumber sandwiches were the best tasting out of the choices. Some other choices were the chicken salad, egg salad, turkey and roast beef. Desserts were ok but I only ate 1 of them...some were passed on. Note parking may be tough in this shopping area on busy days.

We had a delightful tea time with fresh scones and tea sandwiches. The server made us feel welcome and let us take our time when ordering. We were here years ago and I think the storefront has been expanded a bit so all the store wares seemed to be well positioned and there was a fair amount to of selection of British goods. We look forward to our next visit.

Went to Taste of Britain for their Winter Wonderland tea. They offered complimentary mimosa or a blackcurrant spritzer. I got the blackcurrant spritzer. It was really bubbly and light. The menu had a bunch of tea options to try out. I really liked the Hummingbird almond cake tea. It had notes of almond and cinnamon. They put it in a big pot that I kept forgetting to strain out when putting in my teacup. There were several layers of food that were brought out in a tower. For the savory dishes, I really enjoyed the smoked salmon salad tea sandwich and spiced crab bisque. I wasn't a big fan of the Yorkshire pudding. The next layer had scones. The two scones on the plate were white chocolate and cranberry. It offered a nice wintery charm. It was served with clotted cream, lemon curd, and strawberry preserves. I really liked the quality/taste of the lemon curd and strawberry preserves. The sweets were on top of the tower. They had an amazing cheesecake bite that tasted like eggnog. They also had chocolate hazelnut cake and white chocolate almond petit four. The only dessert I really disliked was the minced pie which didnt taste like dessert at all.

Britain here I come! Such a gem this spot. My girlfriend and I exchanged gifts for the holidays, and I bought tea for two for the both of us at A Taste of Britain, the Winter Wonderland experience. We were served a pot of tea of our choosing and a towering tray of savories, scones, and sweets for each of us. Pro-Tip: You are supposed to start at the bottom of the tray aka savories and work your way up to end on the sweets. I am not going to detail every item placed on the tray, but I have uploaded a menu and will say the large scone they serve to you with choice of clotted cream, strawberry preserves, and lemon curd was sweet and delish. I was also pleasantly surprised with the sausage roll. When you walk inside the store, they have a very large and well laid out shop that you can buy items that are normally sold in Britain. If you cannot spare the time or money to travel to the UK, I highly recommend you dabble in this store, it is totally a feel-good vibe much like the feeling I get when I shop at World Markets. For the tea service this holiday season they even had Christmas Crackers (Christmas crackers are festive table decorations that make a snapping sound when pulled open, and typically contain a small gift, paper hat and a joke) on the table which I proceeded to crack open and wear the paper hat, hey now, I was definitely not the only one at the place who did it as other tables were sporting there paper hats and were totally soaking up the experience. If you are looking for a different kind of gift to give your loved ones this year, I highly recommend you purchase tickets to this experience for them. It will get them out of the house and create hopefully some wonderful memories : ) As always people SYOY!!!

We had the most lovely themed tea yesterday. It was a Mary Poppins themed tea which truly was practically perfect in every way. The servers were all dressed as penguins and we all happy and super friendly and attentive. There was a young lady there who was Mary Poopins who even sang A Spoonful of Sugar and she was outstanding. The tea was delightful. And the food excellent. Everything was fresh and well seasoned. The sweets were particularly delicious.

Enjoy High Tea in a fun space with delicious sandwiches, scones, and desserts. You can go ala carte or prix fixe with both being very reasonable for what you get. The service was five stars (Thanks Robin!). A cute store attached with all kinds of British themed knickknacks, gifts, and tea related items. Dress was a mix of very casual jeans to suit coats. Highly recommend!

Loved the full afternoon tea experience. It was great that you get to pick your flavor of sandwich and scone! My favorite was the turkey and cranberry little sandwich and the cherry/almond scone was delicious! We got the September scone of the month and that was my mom's favorite. My favorite tea was the creamy caramel. It was a little loud, but that means that people were talking and enjoying themselves, so I can't complain too much. They have a really nice gift shop too! Service was nice and food came out really quick. Reservations recommended. I'd happily take my mom Back here again, she loved the experience!

My wife wanted to do some fancy tea. The places she had visited before were in center city. I didn't want to deal with the parking situation. So I jumped on Yelp and found this place. Made reservations for their valentines special. Super cute place. Delectable little treats tower for valentines. It had savory and sweet. Honestly I liked the savory options more. We got a surprise deviled egg with fried prosciutto. I can't explain how god it was. Ahi tuna on little crispy bead. That was delicious. These mini mushroom soup shooters. Those were so good we bought a quart of the soup on the way out. The only thing I wasn't keen on was the flank steak sandwich. That was kinda weird. Crab meat and pea balls that were just amazing. The red velvet scone was surprisingly not sweet and came with jelly, butter, and a lemon spread. Lemon spread was the best but not on red velvet. I thought the butter was something cool at first and took a bit bite of it. I picked one of their teas specials. The snow angel. We left very full. Oh at the start I got a complimentary sparkling drink and she got a mimosa.

My favorite go to place for an afternoon tea. So affordable and so good. It comes with generous portions of sandwiches and cute desserts. Inside is a cute British vibe and don't forget to check out their snacks and souvenirs shop, so many cute British things. Must try their holiday theme tea! Make a reservation! It's always booked here.

Went here today for an early lunch, really more of a brunch, and had an exceedingly wonderful experience. The only damper was a large table that included several children who were unattended and kept going in and out of the side door. However, this was not the fault of the staff or establishment, all of whom where absolutely outstanding. The place is amazing and has a wonderful vibe. From the store up front to the tea room in the rear, and from the minute we arrived, I was enthralled. For the table we ordered two teas, the standard English Breakfast and then the amazing Scottish Highlands, of which, apparently I was lucky enough to get the last pot brewed before having to try to reacquire more of that beautiful blend. Along with that, we started with the Ploughman's Platter, an assortment of amazing cheeses and pickles, toasts, jams, and fruit. Absolutely divine! As if that wasn't good enough it was followed with what I was awaiting eagerly; the tea sandwiches. We also ordered the August Frittata that had goat cheese, onion, and a delicious assortment of mushrooms baked in! It came with a delicious Gazpacho as well, and although I love soup, I'm not usually one for cold soup, but this was unbelievable! Flavor and texture was perfection. Finally we closed with one of the most interesting and balanced eclairs I have ever had, and I'm not big on dessert. I couldn't have asked for more. Everything we ordered was stellar and as I said earlier, on top of all that, the staff was so amazing, it completely overrode the distraction of the irritating table that could have easily ruined our experience had it been anywhere else. Afterwards we even stopped in the store and picked up a variety of scones and they even packaged up a small amount of a very limited blueberry preserves that wasn't available except in the restaurant, simply because we expressed how much we loved it. Bottom line, if you're in the area and you're looking for something different, or a place that makes you feel classic, catered-to, or simply special, you cannot beat a meal here, or even something as simple as tea...

Afternoon tea for 2! Separated to account for potential allergy cross-contamination which is a nice touch

All last week the various weather models were all over the place. Most showed the storm hugging the coast. The storm was to move in as the sun went down and darkness set in. Sunday morning the forcast had changed. The storm moved westward. All that lived in the Philadelphia news station viewing area were to get hit earlier with more snow than expected. At 10 AM West Chester Borough declared a snow emergency. I expected to hear from the tea room. I did not. Around 11 I placed a call to the event coordinator. I expressed my concerns. She was very nice but said that I needed to speak with the owner. I placed a call to her and received an immediate attitude. I explained my concerns for not only my party but her employees leaving there after 5. I was also concerned about parking. She told me the borough always calls a snow emergency. It was fine, park in the garage. I asked if we could reschedule. She was open to that but I was expected to pay for this party in full. I had signed a contract. I stated that I was not doing that. Weather was no fault of hers or mine. We need to work together. She was silent. I suggested we split her cost of food and preparation. She drop the food off at a shelter so that it did not go to waste. I would start over and reschedule my party with her. She would not hear of this. The shelter would not take her cooked food. She would forgive the room charge and gratuity. I was expected to pay full price (40) for each meal and come pick it up. Other option was to be there at 12:30. It was 11:40. No way to contact 22 people and have them there in 50 minutes when many live an hour away. I had asked on Friday if the time could be moved up. It could not as she had over 80 reservations. Clearly she had lots of cancelations. As it stands now she has my deposit. The Borough of West Chester posted that all garages were full around 1 PM. My party was scheduled for 2:30. No garage or street parking would have been available. See attached photo. Look at the time stamps.

Management and ownership have never attended a tea service or researched how to host one Each table is limited to two selections and two pots of tea. Don't agree? Oh well. Refills? Extra charge. But wait you actually receive three pots of tea because upon seating a pot of the "seasonal" herbal tea is served whether you like it or not.m Additionally serving milk with black tea selections is apparently not standard practice here and needs to be specifically requested. The Earl Grey tea is excellent First course: salad. Hopefully no one in your party has severe nut allergies because before even taking tea selections a plate of spring mix buried under a pile of walnuts is dropped in front of you. Those in our party able to eat the salad did not enjoy it Second course: savouries. Finger sandwiches were fresh. Chicken salad was excellent. Egg salad on croissant was good I personally disagree with quiche being served as it's non-traditional but it is accepted in many circles and the quiche was also good However I have absolutely no doubt that the chicken salad and egg salad were scooped out of premade tubs from Sysco or Restaurant Depot judging by the sweets Scones: underbaked. Disappointing given reviews raving about them. Maybe we received a bad batch maybe the local population has never had a decent scone. Will not be returning to find out Presumably since the savoury scone (an abomination in my opinion) was served in the same course as a sweet scone the only butter served was a savoury herb butter. As a result there was no butter available for the "butterscotch" scone and there would not have been enough anyway considering we received about a tablespoon of butter and two tablespoons of both other toppings between five people The "clotted cream" has been addressed as it was the most offensive part of enduring this experience. Rather than a traditional jam or marmalade none of which we were served we were given a "mango compote." How someone decided mango and butterscotch are complementary I have no idea. Anyone in this industry would recognize Reàl purée squeezed out of a plastic bottle Sweets: thaw and serve La Boulangerie des Gourmets frozen macarons (which include a pistachio flavor and are packaged in one tray so again watch for nut allergies if you think you're safe eating a lemon macaron as this obviously isn't disclosed). I see these are being sold separately outside of the tea service 6/$14. They are 57¢ ea Chocolate mousse mix piped into a plastic cup with a processed whipped topping. The most edible dessert Menu lists lemon cheesecake server identified small tarts as key lime pie. Not sure which we received but can note the filling at least (probably not the tart shell) is made in house because we received more than one batch with one having not even a hint of citrus Saving the worst for last the "strawberry" cupcake. First and foremost cupcakes chocolate mousse and macarons (and most egregious cannolis listed on the children's menu) are not standard sweets served with afternoon tea. But this cupcake? The cupcakes we were served here were the driest cake I have ever seen in my life completely inedible. The frosting was some sort of processed palm oil goo and neither cake nor frosting had any strawberry flavor Atmosphere and service: service was friendly albeit casual slow and not attentive. Server was not very knowledgeable. Not her fault Space was fine if gaudy. Table was crowded. I share another reviewer's sentiment but the table cloth was about a foot longer than the table was high which made sitting movement or pushing a chair in difficult. It felt like wearing a heavy blanket that was pulled taut the entire experience Paper napkins and plastic dishes. At over $40 per person you would expect more As a side note standard afternoon tea practice is being offered or asking for additional items the guests like. However the menu had prices listed for additional sides of all items served on the tea service. Given the quality vs cost this felt particularly gauche It's hard to comprehend why the owners or management here can't get the tea service right. The hardest part is finger sandwiches and freshness which they seem to have managed. Good quality premade desserts are available and scones are not difficult to make. It honestly seems like a lack of effort on their part or a lack of respect for their customers which is frustrating All in all a very expensive abysmal experience. I'm sure there are decent afternoon teas available in this area at a similar price. Fortnum and Mason and the Covent Garden Hotel in London both known for afternoon teas charge £45 per person Two stars for the chicken salad server and Earl Grey
